Binta and the Great Idea

Setting: a village in Senegal

Conflict: Soda who is Binta's cousin wanted to go to school but couldn't do so because her strict father didn't let her go to school. Her father thinks women don't need to get a education and that they should stay home to do their housework.

Climax: Children in the village did a play and asked Soda's father to let Soda go to school. Finally, he allowed her to go to school.

Symbol: A bird is a symbol of liberty.

Theme: Every child who wants to study has a right to get an education regardless of gender.
