Binta and the Great Idea

Conflict- Binta's cousin, Soda, wants to go to school, but her father doesn't allow her, as he thinks women don't need any education but do the house work. In addition, Soda's mother is opposed to her husband's way of thinking.

Climax- Children in the village played a role in the play in order to change a mind of Soda's father that men as well as women have rights to get an education.

Symbols- The bird represents the future and liberty.

Message- Some people live in a favorable environment and some live in difficult conditions. As for a people living in a favorable environment, they might not think about the importance of education and might lack their ability to cooperate with others. We need to learn that there are people who couldn't learn or go to school even though they want to, and learn the importance of cooperation. Moreover, we should reconsider our attitudes towards learning.
