Binta and the Great Idea



Setting: A village in Senegal

Conflict: Soda wants to go to school but her father doesn’t let her because she is a woman.

Climax: When all the people in the village try to convince Soda’s father to let her daughter go to school and he finally gives up and decides to let her go.

Symbol: The bird symbolizes intelligence.

Theme: The importance of school and that everybody have the right to go to school.
