Binta Reflection

Setting: A village in Senegal

Conflict: Binta's cousin, Soda whats to get educated by going to school, but her father wouldn't allow her to do so because of the culture he was raised up in.

Climax: The children of the village do a small skit, and Soda, getting encouragement from that, asked her father for her to go to school. The whole village goes crazy because they too saw the skit, and wants Soda to go to school.

Symbol: The watch represents Europe and the bird represents liberty.

Theme: The overall theme of this clip is that every human begin is equal, and that there is no difference between a man or women in getting education. Everyone should be equal and are equal as human begins.
