Assignment: Mermaid

Settings: 1950's some country in Europe

Point of view: 1st person

Conflict: person vs. society

Climax: The man which is the main charatcter was forced and controlled his mind by the society or country to forget and "cure" his mind of imagining fictions.

Symbol: Bars- it symbolizes no freedom

Irony: even people are socialized, they let themselves be controlled by the rules of the country. People just follow the rules in order not to get punished. As it is said in the story that fiction and fantasy is not permitted in the society.

Theme: a country cannot totally control people
