mermaid


Settings: It could be anywhere and anytime where imagination is not allowed.

Conflict: The boy and the education system in the country where he lives in is in conflict. While the boy believed that the mermaid exists, the government forced him to forget it.

Symbol: The mermaid is the symbol of imagination.

Irony: It is an irony that he tries to show the mermaid to people around him, but everyone just see the mermaid as a fish.

Climax: The boy become blind to a mermaid which means he lost his imagination.

Theme: Always believe in imagination, no matter what others say.
