soccer

i like soccer.
i played soccer when i was an elementary school student.
i like watching soccer games too.
especially, i like Yokohama F Marinos, a J1 team.
tomorrow, December 1, is a day of the final game of J league Division 1.

i want to go to watch a game at Nissan Stadium.
it is near Shin-Yokohama. it's very convenience to go there using Yokohama Line.

please tell me if you like to watch soccer games.

Mirage

the short animation movie, Mirage, is very interesting but very difficult.

in the story, the main character, maybe robot, needs water.
water is very important thing in this movie.
it should be the theme.

i thought the water shows water itself.
everyone needs water. so the movie tells about the importance of water.

after a while, i remember the oil.
in the world, wars for oil are happening. this situation can lead to the death of world and people.

in the end, i can't understand it well now.

last Wednesday,i went to Mt.takao to see autumnal foliage. I rode the lift part of the way, then walk rest the way. i assumed that it would hard for me, but it wasn't so trying and it took only twenty or thirty minuts to get to the top. at the top of the mountain, i could see bautiful view and some autumn-tined trees.they were so amazing!! i want to show you my pictures here, but it is troublesome,so if you want to see, please ask me directly.

i wanna go to Kyoto to see autumnal foliage someday!

Winter Vacation

After several weeks, we will get a winter vacation.  Do you decide or plan what you do?  I don't do yet.  probably, I spend the end of the year and the new year watching TV every year, so this time will be same.  But in this year, I have a lot of things to do such as a book report, Academic writing and other reports.  I cannot get a sabbath until I finish those.  It is the hardest year in my life.

My bike

I usually go to a station which is the nearest my house my bike.  The distance between the station and my house is about 2 miles and it takes about 20 minutes by it. It is far a bit so I rely on my bike.  But last week, when I arrived at the station and get to a place where I put my bike,  I noticed that my bike's cap of front tire was tapped.  I was forced to go back home by walking and pushing my bike.   I have to go to the station by walk and it takes 40 minute.  It bothers me.

Mirage

Mirage is a short animation and very mysterious. Main character is a robot, maybe he is AI. The story of this animation is that AI has to correct water to live. And he take in water from resource of life such as flower. As the result, flowers is dead. He realize that it is bad to do selfish, and he save a fish which appear from the resource.

This animation shows that selfish behave cause bad influence, and the most important thing is cooperation.

news

i've been working at a Doutor cafe near my house since last April.

from today, the cafe started a new campaign for christmas called " Doutor's Hearty Christmas 2012." we gotta hand out scratch cards to customers who paid more than 300yen for our products. each customer has a chance to be given some kinds of gifts from Doutor using the scratch card. 

we had a meeting on last tuesday and we were told about the project from an executive person of the company. i was very nervous but he was quite a nice person so i could enjoy talking with him. 

anyway the campaign is rather attractive and we have a new product of beverage and sandwich so everyone read this post should visit Doutor:)

long weekend

it was a long weekend last week, and ikumi and erikainnami came to visit my place at kyodo.

we ate a lot and talked a lot. some of the things we talked about were crazy, but i had so much fun. on the second day, we were to cook chinese food by ourselves, so we went to supermarket. food was great and i was happy, but i was sorry cos while cooking, i was just standing at the kitchen just watching. anyways, i had a great time! :D i can hardly stop laughing with them!! lol

these days. im so into rose aroma goods. before, i tend to buy vanilla or berry flavoured candles or aroma oils. i love good smell :)

from last fri to sat, i stayed at Sakurako's home with Erika.
her home was so tidy and large that i could stay there comfortably as if it was the room of mine. lol

these r wat we did...
chatting, cooking, watching TV, drawing some crazy pictures, ... and we were laughing through the days.
i could hardly stop my laughing and so i had a fun time.

they are so gentle and precious friends of mine:)
looking forward to spending some time like this with them again.

exercise

I don't think I'm doing enough exercise recently. Compare to when I was in high school, the quantity of exercise has dramatically decreased. At that time, I do exercise and sports almost everyday in PE classes or a club activity. I thought it was very hard and I was reluctant to doing more then, but I could be in a good health thanks to them. I still love doing sports or doing some exercise. Doing too much is better than not doing at all, I think. Anyway, I need to get some more exercise!

appetite

These days, I feel my appetite increases. I don't even know why, but I think it's a good thing for me. Even though I get full, a few hours later I feel I'm hungry. I don't want to be fat, but eating balanced meals gives me much energy and it's a good way to prevent some ills such as a cold. Am I still in my growth period? I hope so!

party

last Saturday, i went to the Placement 40th anniversary party.  Placement is a circle i take part in. the party was held in Ivy hall next to Aoyama campus. this was great party. about 110 people attended. i talked with a man who make this circle. he was around 60 years old. i never imagined that this party was so big and gorgeous. this circle has a long history. i can be proud of that. i love Placement.

IT

 Recently I'm working hard to finish IT. There are people who have already finished it and so I started to being in a hurry. I'm not familiar with computers and IT is difficult for me, but I have to do this to take credits to graduate.

Mirage

mirage was a  little bit strange and mysterious. the robot is searching for water to survive. without water, he can't live. in this movie, i think, the setting is  the world after human became extinct. the robot is hybrid of a human and a robot so that he can live in that world. other animals and plants are also extincted because when the robot found a plant, he looked it as if he never saw a plant in his life. maybe he was the last man standing in the world. he was surprised when he found a fish. living thing is still alive except him. this film maker wants to tell us the end of the environmental destruction. this movie was created by Corean. their characters are somewhat uncanny. this character is also the same.

Recently

 I tend to oversleep and be late for classes! It's because I often stay up late at night. It's a very very very bad habit, so I have to reconsider my living and carry out jobs to do efficiently...

last weekends

Last weekends, I stayed at Sakurako’s home with Ikumi. Her house was said to be large to live by herself, and she is really cleanliness so I was looking forward to visiting. To be honest, her house was larger than I had expected, and the room was so clean! I thought as if no one had lived in the room.
We cooked Ebichiri, Hoikoro, and Chinese soup for dinner together. I really enjoyed and they were delicious. I was so happy.
We kept talking for a very long time at night, and casually looked to look at the watch. It was 3 a.m.! We were very surprised the time. I thought it was true that when we're enjoying ourselves, the time seems to fly by.

Today

I watched a short movie of Steve Jobs in today's IE3 listening class.
I had thought he was very clever.
Therefore, I was very surprised about the fact that he dropped out college.

Yesterday was very cold, but today was not so much.
I want to be careful about not to catch a cold.

Circle

I think a circle represents transmingration. I believe in it bacause many people who belong to Buddhism are sure of it. Japanese was Buddhism country in the past. I think this idea was told hand in hand for a long time. And this idea shows Japanese national flag.

Yesterday, I had my tennis circle. I was so tired when I went home.
Suddenly, I had a phone call but I didn't know the number. I understood person who called me at once. I  had a interview of part-time job last week. It was the interviewer who called me! I could get second part-time job!

Mirage

The character is a robot who cannot live without water.
To solve the shortage, he broke the fruit like stuff filled with water.
The film maker wants to tell us the present environment.
present environment is destroyed by us.
we do not have enough water all over the world.
Because of destorying environment, wild animals and plants are disapperaring.
to save the nature, we should be more seious about it.

Italy

I'm going to go to Italy with Minako Otake in this spring vacation.
We talk about this trip everyday!
We desire to go to Italy, so recentrly we always have fun.
We are going to go Rome, Florence and Milan.
I want to eat genuine pasta and pizza.
However, we must do final examination before go to there.
I worry about whether I'll do well or not, but I want to do my best!

A year-end party

On Tuesday, I went my friend's house in Tachikawa city and did early year-end party.Member was my friends in German class.
One of my friends, Aki was taken asthma and  she couldn't come. I'm worrying about her.
However, we talked a lot and had a good time. My friend, Yuka got drunk and hid into kotatsu.

After that, we rushed to the station to catch the train.Since my last train was earlier than Yuka, we ran very fast. She seems to sober up on our way to the station. I felt relieved. I arrived home about 0:30. Luckily, there were no drunken man on the last train. I want to go somewhere with them again.

Circle

I think the circle symbolize reincarnation in Japan because Buddism is the common religion and they believe it.
The national flag is also red circle,  Hinomaru.
It means the sunrise.

Presentation

Tomorrow, I have a group presentation in American literature class. We have prepared hard everyday, but it is not going. I am in a hurry now and I have less time to sleep because I have to make the slides. We also have to read many materials about Wiliam Faukner which is written in difficult English. It was so hard work, but my group members helped me, so I am very happy now. I want to finish the presentation with satisfaction.

My old friend :)☆

Last Sunday, I met old friend at Kichijyoji. We haven't met 8 years, so I was so excited before meeting her. Fortunately, she has not changed to a frivolous girl. I learned that human's parsonality does not change even if we grow older. We enjoyed talking about the university life at the cute cafe in Kichijyoji. Do you know "Hattifnatt"? The fairy tale pictures are drawn all around the inside wall, and it is famous for cafe art. When I was talking, I felt that we came back to the 11 years old girl.
I want to meet and talk with her again.

today...

Today, i had a part-time job at early morning. In the working time. After that, i went to Ebina for playing tennis. It was so cold,so my hands were numb with cold. But playing tennis was very fun!
Since i played tennis, i was tired and sleepy now, however, i have a lot of homework....
I would like to work harder from now.

Cold

I had a cold again. I don't have a fever but other symptoms remains since last week.
l felt sluggish today, but went part time job. Other staffs had a cold and wearing a mask as me.
However, children were so vigor that no one have a cold.

Next Wednesday is payday! I'm looking forward it.
I'm sleepy and tired now.
Anyway, l want to get rid of cold as early as possible.

so cold...

It's getting colder these days, so I began to use kotatsu! It's very warm and it makes me feel happy ;) But, once I warm myself in kotatsu I usually want to stay there for a long time even when I have many things to do. Anyway, I must be careful not to forget turn off the switch of it because I live by myself. Take care not to catch a cold.

running late at night

Every Monday and Thursday night, I make it a point to run for keeping my health. I have been doing it since May. Of course if it rains, I won't. I guess you cannot understand why I run late at night. This is because I don't have to worry about other people and there are few people in the street late at night.

I change out of my room wear into jersey at 11:00 p.m. and go out with a room key and walkman. I always do warming-up exercise before running not to get injured. Then, I choose the direction like "I will go east today!!" There are few cars in the street too, so I often run on the roadway. When I run, I can find many shops and buildings that I didn't know. A few weeks ago, I found a lot of ramen shops in a street. Most people in this city seem to call it ramen street!! I looooove ramen, so let's go together if you like it!! While running, I always listen to my favorite music. The music inspires me to run faster and faster!

However, sometimes bad things happen to me. A few month ago, when I was running around a U.S. military base in Sagamihara city, I completely got lost lol. There were few light and people. I make it a point not to ask people because if I asked people, I would feel I'm a loser, so I continued to run without asking. Eventually, I could get home but totally exhausted.

After taking a bath I always drink some milks and eat something sweet, watching TV. I loooove this moment...

I have a lot of things to do today, but I woke up at 11:30 a.m...

cold !!!!!!!!!

It is too cold recently. Even though a weatherman said Monday would be 19℃, it was about 5℃ in fact. I think, in this season, it would be rera that temperature increases in a rainy day. I don't like cold. I cannot stand cold. In winter vacation, I will go to Hakuba, Nagano for one week due to a term of a committee I belong to. I heard that the cold of there is so hard and snow lie many many meter. I would be near a stove all days. but I want to ski!! I have never done ski so I want to! To stay over the winter in Hakuba, I must stand the cold of Tokyo.

Colored leaves of Kyoto

      The day after I visited my grandmother, I visited Kyoto with my mother and my aunt. It was the best season of autumnal leaves. We visited some temples and shrines famous for its maple trees. Every maple tree colored beautifully. We admired that beautiful scenery. I took many pictures and up loaded them into my Face Book page. I love the seasonable views of Japan and I’m proud of them.

class on monday

it is getting colder day by day, so i think i have to take care of myself for not getting sick.
it would be awful if i have fever or sth cos i live by myself and then im probably dying in my room alone... how sad.

In IE writing class on monday, i watched judge judy, and it was very interesting. for homework, i have to find some strange crimes and write a summary, so im gonna have to go look for the article. also, lisa gave me the winnie the pooh sticker in the class and i was very happy.

My trip to Himeji

I visited my grandmother living in Himeji, in Hyogo prefecture. It was the first time in eight years. She slumped over from cerebral infarction the end of this October. So she hardly remembered about me. But she called my name and said “you’ve grown up to be lovely lady.” at last. It was the most emotional moment of my weekend.

I could see my cousin’s daughter, Hibiki. She is a three-year girl. She is so high-spirited and cute.

It was nice trip and good opportunity to see my relatives.

I hate waking up on a winter morning..not because im not a morning person but simply because it's really cold..
I can't wait for spring to come. :(

almost december.

Three more days until December! This year went by so fast..
Looking back at my last year's resolutions, I failed to reach or achieve more than half of it. I should've studied harder and started exercise! But I got so lazy..
However, things that I failed to achieve were probably not important anyways. So overall, it was a decent year.
I feel that new year's resolutions usually don't last very long and it is very difficult to achieve every one of resolutions because sometimes, things don't go as we expected.

Maybe this year when I'm making a resolutions, I should choose things that are easy to stick..haha

yesterday

Yesterday, i went to Tsukishima to eat Monjya-yaki with my old friends.
Tsukishima is famous for a lot of Monjya shops and i sometimes go to there.  i like Okonomi-yaki and Monjya-yaki!! These are very delicious.
And i met friends after a long ago and i enjoyed talking many things.

Now i am having had plenty and sleepy, but i will have a part-time job tomorrow morning....., so i am going to go to bed. Good night☆

friend's relashinships

Today, i met two old friends at a cafeteria in Sagamihara campus. I was surprised because both friends was my old friends in different times. I always meet one of them who is a fellow at a cooking club in my high school days, but I didn't know that the other friend who got along with me in junior high school and elementary school days is studying at the Aoyama Gakuin University. The two friends are getting along enough to go somewhere with them. Moreover, she gets along with one of my friend who went to the same kindergarten with me! I mean, each friends i got along with in the past is friendly with each other before i know the facts. The facts surprised me,so I'd like to meet them and chat each other! I thought the world is not so big…

after two weeks

After two weeks, i'll have a stage that i have written on this blog about a mont ago. Now i can do 20 turns, but i have to do 12 more in two weeks. This problem always annoys me. There is no way except doing, so i will practice hard at any cost! Therefore, i have many things that i want to do after the stage. For example, buy and eat delicious sweets at the Isetan department store and i want to finish IT skill check instead of spend lits of hours on ballet. Anyway, i have to stand and overcome this situation!! I'll do my best in two weeks:)♪

Yokohama

Sunday, I went to Yokohama, the city i like best.

i live in Machida city so it is very easy to go there.
i went to Sakuragicho Station and walked.

i brought my digital camera and took many many photos.

i went to Basha-Michi, the Chinatown, Yamashita-Park, Oh-Sanbashi(big pier).

especially, the night view from Oh-Sanbashi was so beautiful.

i think it can be a million-dollar view.

i tried to take good photos but it is very difficult to do so.

i took over 200 photos but most of them were not so good.

i will learn how to use the camera completely well and challenge again.

my failure

This weekend, I went my home in Gunma. I stayed there from Friday to Sunday.

In spite of having a driver license,  I haven't driven a car since I had gotten it during summer vacation. My mother told me to drive a car if I wouldn't want to be a "paper driver". I drove a car from a clinic to my home. I went to the clinic to be inoculated against influenza. During my driving, my mother was afraid whether I would make an accident or not. Of course, I didn't!

Nothing special on this visit. I just want to see my family. No events and plans to play with my friends. Though I only played with my younger sisters and met my grandfather and grandmother, I had a nice time.

However, I had to go back my home in Machida. It takes about three hours. I had to change trains . I took Shounanshinzyuku line and changed to Odakyu line. While in the first train, I read the book which I'm using on a book report. It took two hours from Gunma to shinzyuku so I read a lot. I got off the train and changed to Odakyu line. Luckily, there wasn't crowded, I could get a seat. As soon as I started to read the book, I noticed.....that..................................................I forgot my bag in the first train. I had two bags and I put one of them on a rack. Second train haven't left yet, so I got off it immediately. The last stop of the first train is not Shinzyuku but Kouzu.

I have to pick it up to Kouzu Station, where it takes an hour from Machida Station, until next Wednesday; otherwise my bag will be taken to the police station.

MHP3

Hello, everyone!!

Can you understand the meaning of the title "MHP3"??  This title means "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd." I bought this game soft a few years ago and enjoyed it with my friends verrrrrrry much, but I stopped playing it because I had to concentrate on my study for some examinations. However, I have just started to play it again recently  because some of my friends in IE3 class were playing it!!!

Have you ever played Monster Hunter series?? If you have PSP(Play Station Portable), you can enjoy this hunting game easily. This game is sooooo interesting that both men and women can enjoy this game. According to the rumor that I have heard of recently, some of ladies in my IE3 class play it, though they are not good at playing
...lol  This hunting game is so grotesque because when we slash or strike some monsters with weapons, they blood profusely...  This is why some ladies who don't like blood ought not to play it... 

Of course, we can enjoy the game alone, but I think it is very good for you to do this game with your friends!!!  We could feel the sensation that cannot be expressed in words if we cleared some huntings together. If you cannot clear some huntings, you should do it with your friends or change the weapon. There are a lot of weapons that you can use in this game, so you have to change the weapons depending on the monsters.

Let's play MHP3 together if you have it!!!

I will have a test in my Chinese class two week later, so I have to start studying for it because I'm not good at Chinese... Most people say that Chinese is very easy to learn because most letters look like Japanese, but I don't think so because the pronunciation and word order in Chinese are sooooo difficult. Indeed, I thought that Chinese was very easy at first, but recently I have been feeling the difficulties in learning them. I'll do my best!!

I also have to watch some movies for IE3 Listening class. I have not watched "Love Actually", "The Truman Show" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Unfortunately, I couldn't find them at TSUTAYA... Must I got to GEO or some rental shop?? lol

Ochanomizu

I went to Ochanomizu on Friday, in order to look for a electric guitar; I have one but I want more high quality guitar.  I found Gibson Les Paul and it caught my fancy.  Gibson is the name of a famous historic guitar brand and Les Paul is type of guitar. It looks like a gourd, hyotan.  I decided to buy on the installment but I was not able to buy.  I could not pass the judgement of payment agent company because I am underage and the price of the guitar was too high so  I'm so sad.  I'll go to Ochanomizu again get a nice guitar next time.

Mirage

the main character is a robot which cannot live without water. it is  problem that there aren't enough water to supply all creature in the world. especially, when the main character found a tree which looks like having enough water, a conflict begun. that is, the robot conflicted with himself whether he take in water and live in behalf of a tree or not. after he took water by having broke  tree's fruit, a fish appeared. that is a symbol of  new life. the robot solved a problem of water shortage by breaking the fruit, and he decided to save a new life. i think the setting is our future planet. i wonder that the film maker wants to convey us that we shouldn't use resources in vain, and he sure to warn us not to do so.

A circle

in Japan, a circle is a symbol of solidarity. Japan has been emphasized solidarity on any occasion for a long time. For example, talking from Japanese history, Japanese fought against opponents with team spirit. the circle represents that everyone is connected each other at any time. in case of Japanese national flag, the circle is used for a symbol of connection as the nation, and it also represents endless connection with the company.

Mirage

The main character is the humanoid robot who needs water to live through.  I think the robot wanders around the earth after human being went extinct.  Every kind of energy source including nature was used by human and it was exhosted; only a little water remains.  This animation warns people that think and change how to use eenergy or the earth will be... like the video.

Circle

I think the circle means keeping on going. For example, ball and tire of the bike. Circle is rolling and not stable, so it keeps on rolling forever. It goes to everywhere and the direction is decided by people who touch the circle. I also think circle is like our lives because we are influenced by people who is around us like a ball, and we have many way to live like a ball rolling.

Mirage

We watched short movie called Mirage last Friday. It was robot boy's story and difficult for me
to understand because it was no ward movie. The robot boy was always run out of water and looking for it.
When water was not enough in his body, he looked weak. But he could not get much water at one time.
At last, he could search big orange stuff which obtain much water. When he broke it, large amount of water flowed in his body. A fish was dying because it was living in the orange stuff which was full of water,
so he put the fish in his body to make him living. Maybe, the filmmaker wanted to tell us that sharing something is necesarry for us  to live in the world which has full of environmental problem. The robot understood the bad environmental situation and helped the fish.

circle

the circle reminds me of perfection, the moon, the sun and the ring.

i was surprised that when i moved to canada, the sign of ok is check mark instead of circle, so i think it is japanese special tradition that the circle is a symbol of perfection. Also, it associates with the ring, and the ring represents the everlasting promise because there is no end in the ring. 

many natural substances are shaped circle such as the moon, the sun, the water drop and the earth. i think the circle could be the symbol of anything.

Mirage

We watched short movie called Mirage last Friday. It is difficult for me to understand what the film maker wants to tell us. The main character is a robot who needs water to live. I think the robot is symbol of future. Though he is always looking for water to live, it means we would suffer from the environmental problems in the future, I think. In the end of this story, the robot helps a fish came out of the orange stuff which he breaks to get water. I think which is a hope of the film maker that people save the environment more seriously.

the movie "Mirage" we watched last time was difficult for me to understand.
a mechanical boy appears and he needs water to live. he is almost running out of water so he is looking for water but to find it is difficult for him. he finds an orange stuff which is filled with water so he thinks that if he breaks it he will able to get water from it. when he breaks it, a fish gets out from the stuff and he moves the fish in his body filled with water.

i dont really know what the film maker want us to think about, but i think we should think about environmental problems occuring in the world. the story tells us that we should be lack of something important for us to live in the future.

The main character is a human-look-like robot, and he is looking for water to live. he takes water from orange plant and a goldfish came out of it. i think the setting of the film is future because robot is the main symbol of future. i think the message of this film is that in future, it is going to be such a survival even just for living since people continue to waste the natural resources and destroy environment. i think the orange plant in the end is the hope in our future and goldfish came out of it is the symbol of new life. i think we need to consider more seriously about environmental problems.

The title was Mirage.
I think main character is a future robot.
The robot can't live without water.

The robot conflicted with shortage of water.
However, he found a object like a fruit, and water was in it.
He punctured it and got water, but a fish which was in it became dying.
Then he put the fish into himself, and it didn't die.

The movie was very difficult for me to understand.
However, my attention was engaged by the movie.

Mirage

The main character is a robot which looks like a human. The setting is deep in the water in the future world. He is collecting water to live but there is few. He gets it by squeezing a flower and bamboo. Finally he finds a fruit which is filled with water and there is a gold fish in it. To get water he is about to kill the fish. It seems he thinks only about getting water, about himself. Also that world does not look like comfortable. I think the theme is that our endless desire will make the world worse to live in. Even water, one of the most familiar natural sources, is in short in this film.

circle

In Japan, I think that circle means human relationship. One good example is friends. Many people have heard the words "widen the circle of friends", which mean make new friends. Then, human relationship is widen like an annual ring of wood. And like there is no ending on circle, that relationship will not end so easily.
When we look around, there are a lot of things shaped circle, so we human beings unconsciously think circle as something that gives us special power and something very important for us.

the story we read in last class about what a circle means in a tribe was interesting for me.
i think a circle means 'perfect' in japan because the moon has been a symbol of perfection since the old days, and we see circles when we got a perfect score or a right answer on exams.

wanna noe about the difference of what circles mean in other countries.

Mirage

Maybe in the short movie of Mirage, the setting is in the future and in the water.
The boy who is looks like human machine is looking for water in order to survive to drink it.
But he wants to water desperately and he killed fish by taking the water in the tank where the fish lived.

This movie is very mysterious and strange for me. After I watched this, I think that natural things are important for us.

Circle.

I think that the circle means sun. Sun played an important role in Japanese history. In ancient Japan, people used to warship sun and country's name "Nihon" comes from sunrise. Even Chinese Emperor called Nihon, "The land of rising sun."

I think story is taking place in under the water because people can't no longer live on land because of radioactive contamination etc. He kept looking for water because without it he'll die. Then he finds a fruit? filled with water and a fish inside. He crushes the fruit and gets water. Massage of the story is "water is important"

Circle

I think that the circle means endless.  We don't know where the orbit of sun started from.  Do you know Uroboros?  It is the picture a snake bites own tail.  It means eternity, no start and no end.  Therefore, the circle is one of symbols of eternity and endless.

Mirage

The main character is a robot.  He wanted liquid as his fuel.  I think the place in the story is the earth in the future, and a lot of energy in the earth will have gone.  He got fuel but a fish sacrificed for the fuel.  This massage is "Don't overuse energies."

 I think "circle" means unlimited relationships of people in Japan. All the people surely have relationships with other people, and these connections have no ends like a circle. For instance, a word "circle" which means a club in Japanese universities is a good example. In circles, people make relationships with others and coexist. Like this, a circle symbolizes human relationships in Japan.

 A main character was a robot. He needed  liquid like water to survive. In order to get that, he even let a flower die. He was always looking for one to survive, and he was about to kill a fish owing to his selfish desire. However, finally he realized what he did was bad and saved the fish.
 I think the main character symbolizes us, human being. We don't scurple to destroy natures for our lives like him, and because of this we have to suffer from shortage of natural resourses and hurt natural lives. Of course this is an unbelievable thing and we soon must stop doing this. A maker of Mirage want us to reconsider our such an act and save natures.

The main character of the story is a little robot. The robot has a face like human and metal body. He spends all time to store his energy, water but he uses the energy to find water. Without the activity, he will stop; he will die. He only finds happiness when he find water. No one is in the story, except the robot. He has no hope. However, he finds another living thing. It is a orange brighting ball. It looks like fruit. He is torn whether break the ball to get water or not. Finally, he breaks it and the action makes him sad. There is a fish and water in the ball. The robot takes the source of life from the fish . Finally, he finds the way living with the fish, and a hope. I think this movie reflects human in the future. Natural resources is going to run out. Perhaps, the robot is what human is going to become.

Circle is the symbol of bonds in Japan, I think. There is no end on circle. All people connect with someone and the connection don't have any end. Bond of  people is circulated. Japanese people often use circle to express the bond.
People can't own nature. Nature is so great that we can't own it. If someone think they own nature, it is illusion. We are owned by nature rather than own it. Nature won't go just as we hope.

I think the main character of this movie is a robot. The robot needs something liquid to live and it might be symbolize human beings in the future. This movie warns that if we use natural resources endlessly, we will feel inconvenience due to a shortage of it. Moreover, too much stravation of human beings might cause a disturbance of ecosystem, like a fish which is in something with water the robot sticked. This movie give us a chance to reconsider how to use natural resources in the future.

Who is the main character? The main character was a bio-robot boy. What is the problem? The problem was that the boy sort water endlessly. Where is this place? I guess it was somwere under the sea or the ground. And the time might be in the future. How does the main character solve the problem? He found a fruit plant like an orange. Circle

I think a circle symbolizes never-ending things because a circle has neither start nor goal.  Probably, the Japanese flag means that Japan is a everlasting country.  A circle also represents the flow of time.  The sun rises and goes below the horizon and that never ends; seasons and a year gone and come and these never end like a circle.

Since long years ago, Japanese people thought that people rebirth many times, and their lives are repeated again and again like a circle. In the other words, they thought their lives never finish.

i think circle means a connection with people.  the connection would be limitless. one person and i are friend and have a common friend while we dont notice we have. i cannot show what i want to say, but you have such a experience, dont you? although i am often surprised as i think "why do you know her?! what the narrow world it is!!" , i feel so happy because we can talk about a common friend and that talk warms up. the connection with people is precious for me.

Mirage

Last Friday, we watched the short movie called "Mirage." It was very difficult for me to think about what the film maker wants to tell us...

I guess the story of this film is that in future a robot that looks like human beings lives in somewhere in the world, where there is few water because human beings spent it wastefully. Probably he seeks for the water to live. He has the serious problem that he cannot live without water. The conflict in this story is the robot vs the society or the world where there is few water that is necessary for him to live. He try to solve the problem that there is few water for him to live by seeking for the water earnestly. he tried to get the water not only by squeezing from plants, but by turning an old faucet. I guess the message that the film maker wants to tell us is that you must not think an ordinary thing as ordinary. We cannot imagine the life without food, shelter and clothing, but it is not until the day will come when they disappear from our life that we will realize how important they were!

Today, I watched the movie "Detective Conan 11th Striker" on DVD. It was so interesting! I'm looking forward to next movie "Private Eye in the Distant Sea"!!

Circle

Circle reminds me of the moon, ring, candy, and so on.
In Japan, I think circle means bond between person and person.
For example, clubs are usually called "sakuru" in Japanese universities.
The name comes from circle.
Besides it, when we band together in sports, we often form a circle.
Like above things, circle is involved with bond between person and person in various situtions.

Circle

Japan is one of countries that have strong connection to circles. Like the thought that the life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, Japan has the same thought as Rinne Tensei.　This is the thought of Buuddhism and people worship the Buddha in order to Rinnne-Tensei.
And in the whole world, there are many circles for example moon and sun.So a circle has very important meaning in the world.

Mirage

It was very strange and difficult short film. I haven't seen that kind of mysterious movie!

Setting is in the future, the bottom of the sea.
Main character is a robot.  This robot looked young as a boy. I thought this robot is a symbol of human.
This robot was looking for water because he can't live without it. To get water, this robot killed the fish.
I think he was in conflict with himself. He was caught between his strong desire for survive and life of fish.  However, he chose his own life and sacrificed that fish.

This scene looks like human are destroying nature. I think water and fish symbolizes nature. Nature is essential for human to survive. All natural resources will be drained if we waste them. Nature will be damaged because of  destruction of human.
I think the message from this film is try to protect nature. Great nature has long history than that of human. However, nature is not inexhastible gift from the earth. Everyone enjoy the blessings of nature and destroy it unconsciously. People should try to protect nature.

last sunday, i went to Kamakura to practice windsurfing.
it was really sunny day but cold to be in the water.
it was kind of wendy and the waves were high.
we practiced so hard.
it was fun:)
i was going to go home by the last train.
but i missed it at Higashikanagawa with my friend.
we went back to yokohama and stayed at Manga kissa.
i came home in the morning on monday being super tired.
hmmm, im still tired now.

Images of circle

There are many circle shaped objects in the world.
For example, coins, CD, ring, pearl,the earth and so on.
They seems different and use is quite different, too. However, I think that circle has a meaning of eternity, so they have meanings of eternity from some points of view.

A circle don't have start and end. Circle can be written beautifully from everywhere. It is the main characteristic of circle. Other figures such as triangle can't be written perfectly from certain points.
I also associate transmigration with circle. Everything on the earth transmigrate and never come to an end. I think nature will continue to exist forever. They repeat re birthing and their lives don't cease. Nature has long history than that of human beings. We can't live without nature, so everyone involved in great nature. Maybe Indian people understand the greatness of nature well. Nature don't belongs to someone. This is the principle of the earth, I think.

What I Associate With A Circle

        The first thing came up with me was the Rising Sun, the national flag of Japan. Another thing I thought was “rinne-tenshou” , Buddhist thought of life. It is sometime described with a word “the wheel of life”. this idea refers exactly same thing Black Elk said.

Circle

Circle has a lot of meanings in Japan, for example a group of students with a common interest and Japanese YEN. It also reminds me of something that shaped like a circle: a doughnut, a coin, an apple and a hula hoop.

Frankly speaking, circle reminds me of "teamwork" in Japanese culture. Did you see the international football match between Japan and Brazil, which was taken place a few weeks ago? The each football players in Brazil has the great individual skills and the high level of physical ability. Neymar, one of the player in Brazil who had a unique hairstyle previously, has the amazing them. There are a lot of football players in Brazil who has the great individual skills. However, in Japanese team, there are not so many player like them. Indeed, Shinji Kagawa and Keisuke Honda are thought to be the best players in the present Japanese team, but they are inferior to the player like Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi who has the amazing skills. However, the football team in Japan has the great "teamwork" !!!!!!  I believe the teamwork would overcome the individual power. Even if the each individuals are inferior, the teamwork makes the team stronger!!

Spanish test

 On last Tuesday, I took an exam of Spanish. Because I'm really poor at Spanish, I was very anxious about it and studied all night long. However, actually the test was was much easier than I had expected and I could do well. I got discouraged.

 Pass the Baton is a name of a shop in Omote Sando. What the shop is doing is upcycling. Upcycling is a new type of recycling. By using unnecessary things or products, a better and newer products are made. A lot of people bring their things which is already unnecessary for them to the shop, with memories or stories about them and the owner of the shop upcycles and sell them.
 I think upcycling is very innovative way to recycle things. If we can upcycle something necessary efficiently, it leads to save the energy and the environmental.

book discussion

Last week's class, we had the discussion about our books.
when i listen to other member's speech and i spoke to other members, i noticed some points i should write in the book report.
of course i read and consider about the book report but i missed to write some points.
i am very sorry to notice that.
the next time, i will try to do my best and make the better book report than this time.

 The homeless man's name is Saito. He makes money by selling the comics he found on the street.
He seemed really happy when he was reading a catalog of department stores or fashion magazines.
The interviewer said that even though homeless people like Mr. Saito live in that way, they don't lose themselves.
I can't understand their real feelings, but I can imagine how hard the life if I lose my house and money. However they can find bare happy within their life, it is very sad and bitter life.

yesterday

yesterday, my friend Aiko and I went out for dinner.
we ate pizza. after that we went to starbucks, then headed to my house.
at my house, we turned the light off and watched a movie, snake and earing.
it was the second time for me to watch it but no matter how many times i watch it,
it threaten me because it is so painfull.
however, the time watching a movie was sooooooo nice and relaxing...
we had a fun time:)

We watched a short movie about Pass the Baton. It is a consignment shop in Omotesando.
This shop sells up cycled stuff that have tags showing the picture and simple profile of the person brought the stuff. The shop owner also asks to write a story between them.
Selling a setoyaki with rusks, the shop made them as a new type of gift.
The shop owner hopes that they can put out new cultures by combining various things' stories.
I want to visit this interesting shop next year!

he picks comick books onthe road up and sells them.
he earns a lving in this way.
we are likely to have the bad image on the homeless peole.but he have the positive image.

we can live happily as long as we feel it happy.

I didn't know the word of upcycling.
i only knew recycling.
Pass the baton is a wonderful shop.
we can feel familiarity with the stories of the goods.
when we sell our possessions, we can send not only the goods but also the message from us to the new owner.
when i go to the aoyama campus, i'd like to visit it.

I went to Yokohama with my mother and elder sister last weekend. 

we ate delicious Chinese food as lunch. then went to shopping and saw illumination. we could also see beautiful night view from our room.

viewing, foods, hotel, everything was great XD! 

I really enjoyed this short trip. but I have to loose my weight....

Cold Fish

i watched a movie, Cold Fish made in Japan. this was the most exciting and shocking movie that i've ever seen. the director is Shion Sono. i love his movie. i want to say recommend  you, but if you don't like shocking or grotesque stuff, i won't recommend you. recently he made a new movie. maybe this one is much more heart warming one. Cold Fish is beyond the imagination. if you are interested in, you should see it. like i said, be careful when you see this movie.

yesterday

yesterday was a very hard day. first, i was a hangover. and the first period was the soccer. i almost throw up all over the place. then the next period was Spanish examination, but the class was canceled. i studied for this examination without sleeping. after school, i went to karaoke till 10:20. then i couldn't sleep because of assignment for today's class. too much assignment and homework in this several weeks. i have to try harder today.

Pass the Baton is a consignment shop in Omotesando. This shop sells upcycled items and products which the shop master changes. This trial sounds very fun. Futhermore this shop sells products that former owner explains memories or feelings for them. If we change campus from Fuchinobe to Aoyama, it is easy for us to access. So I would like to go to the shop after the location of our campus changes.

   Mr. Saito is a homeless who lives in Tokyo. He earns his money by selling comics which he found on the street. It seems that he can't satisfy with his living, but he enjoys it. He has his own hobby, he likes to see department fashion. At the end of the movie, the woman says that he doesn't lost himself even though he forced to live the way.
   Not money makes our lives enrichment. The way enjoying our lives is to find how to enjoy ourselves.

i understood people who live without their address were not always unwilling to do that. after i saw the video, i remembered a story about the homeless i have heard before from my teacher in a cram school. he said that they lived as the homeless because they wanted to do. if they don't do that, they would be receive an economic assistance. therefore, i thought they probably found some happiness in their life.

PASS THE BATON

   "Pass the baton" is a consignment shop at Omote Sando. The shop sells items of upcycled. Upcycling is a new type of recycling; the working is trying  to make things look better. People who brought the items were asked about their pictures, profiles, and backstory of items because the owner of the shop thinks that cultures are created when our own cultures are exchanged each other.
   I think upcycling is very good idea to reduce unnecessary things. I rather think it is strange that the word doesn't spread. We should think more about not only recycling but also upcycling.

we saw a short video last week. the name of the shop is the Pass the Baton. this is a kind of a consingment shop. the shop treats things which were owned by companies or individuals. they sells them with a picture of owner in the past and a story related to them. products which typifies up cycling are cups with rusks. old mug cups leaved for a long time without being used changed into new image by modern things added. the owner said that he wants to change products' stories into personal culture according to succession of  things.
i didn't know that there is a shop which sells such old things. especially i was surprised at the mug cups because i know that such old things can be goods in modern countries. as the owner said, we had better share individual experiences and stories without doing away with any products.

We watched short video about a homeless man, Mr.Saito. He lives in the park because he lost his money. He resells comics which are laid on a street to earn money. He enjoys reading fashion magazines and dressing him up. He seems to be very happy when he is talking about fashion.
Since different people have different values, I can't say all homeless people can't spend happy life. However, I still think their life is full of hardships after all.

Pass the batton is a consignment shop which is a special kind of recycle shop in Omotesando.
When we sell the used things to this shop, we have to show our name and picture of our face.
Also, we have to tell the story of the things. These are the unique points of this shop.
In the shop, many kinds of goods are sold. All of them are used, for example, shoes, uchikake, seto cups and so on. Seto cups are sold with rusk in the same wrapping. Seto cups have been sleeping for 40 years and no one used them, so the owner hit upon the idea to sell them with sweets. They are popular goods in the shop.
They are attractive for us because they seem to be new. Some of them are ones in the world because they are specially remade. The owner wants to inherit them to next culture without wasting.

Last week, we watched the short movie about the homeless live in Tokyo.
One of them is Mr.Saito. He earns money to live by reselling the comic books which were thrown away. His hobby is watching the fashion at department store and reading the fashion magagine.
He has some brand goods, but he never sells them because fashionable brand goods are more valuable than quality of life for him. He looks like shining when he talks about fashion. His life is not rich, but he seems to be satisfied. It because he has strong belief in his way of living, I think.

Pass the Baton is a new type of consignment shop at omotesando. many products such as shoes, japanese wedding dress called uchikake, and rusk breads with a mug are sold at the shop and all of those products were brought to the shop by companies or individuals. the shop owner asks them to bring a product with their name, photo, and a story of the product.

some of the products are remade as a new type of goods. for example rusk breads and mugs were not in the same package at first but the mugs had been leftovers for almost 40 yrs so the shop owners packed them with rusk breads and made a new type of product.

the owner hope that sense of each person and story of a product will make a new culture because now is the era of mass comsumption and people dont think so much about recycling or using products carefully.
i think this shop should be known more and people should visit there. i want to go shopping there next time i go to omotesando:)

The owner of the shop thinks people's history and culture would exchange them through recdycled or upcycled products.

the name on a man focus in the film is mr. saito. he is a homeless man in tokyo who lives in the park. he earns money for living by reselling the comic books he finds on the street. he likes to see the fashion at the department stores. the medical office worker is amazed that homeless people have not lost themselves even they are living in a empty surroundings.
it is becoming colder everyday, and i think it is going to be hard for homeless people.

we watched the film about recycling, and it was a good opportunity for me to think about it.
the shop in the omotesando named "Pass the Baton" is a consignment shop where it sells the antique and recycled products which the customers brought or long time unsold.
the special point of this shop is that when the customers neither individuals or companies bring the products to the shop for the recycle, the owner asks for the pictures, simple profiles, and stories of products brought. this shop is also special cos, for example, they sell the cup of setoyaki which had been unsold and sat in the boxes for 40 years stick with the rusks and made it such a good product as a new type of gifts. The owner of this shop is hoping that people having their own history and story would exchange them through the recycled or upcycled products, and that could lead to the next new culture.

He has Louis Vuitton sunglasses and Bvlgari watch.  The woman said "even though there are forced to live this way, they have not lost themselves."

The short video that we watched in the class was about the homeless man, Mr. Saito. He lives in Tokyo as a homeless. He resells the comic books that are thrown away to earn money. He enjoys looking at the fashions in the department store and reading some fashion magazines. When he was talking about fashions, he seemed very happy. However, most of the people think that the homeless people are living in despair. Actually, I was one of them that who thinks the homeless people are living in despair. After watching this vieo, I have changed my mind but I still think that the homeless people are having tough time living it. Although Mr. Saito seemed happy when he was talking about the fashions, how do we know that he is happy living as a homeless. At the end in the video, when he turned back and started to walk away, Mr. Saito's back seemed really sad to me.

there are many homeless people in Tokyo and we watched a short video about it last time.

a man appared in the movie, Mr Saito, is one of the people living in a homeless park in Tokyo. he looked quite a gentle person for me and he was speaking to the interviewer so calmly.
he's living there because he lost his job at a steel factory and earning about $15 per a day by re-selling comic books. he uses candles instead of lights and that seemed very uncomfortable for me.
he often goes to a department store to look through clothes and he have some expensive things and is keeping them in his little closet.

and a woman appeared in the last part of the movie said that many homeless people still have themselves but i cant fully agree with it because i couldnt understand why Mr Saito spend his money on fashion goods. of course none of those homeless people wanted to live as homeless and it was inevitable to be like that but i dont think its really the way of living as one of the social members in this modernised society. they have to work and pay taxes and so they should spend money on their hobby after they get a new job and finish being a homeless. this is only a opinion of mine and i know that i dont have enough knowkedge about homeless people in japan but at least now, i dont agree with what the woman said.

He likes seeing the fashions at the departments store. At the end of the video, the woman said that though people who seem to have everything they want, they feel empty inside of their mind and some of them don't feel a reason to live. However, even though lives of homeless people are not easy, not all of them lose themselves like Mr. Saito. We might think money is the important thing, but there is something that money can't buy.

Upcycling

We watched the short video about the shop called “Pass the baton,” which is the new type of consignment shop in Omotesando. It is unique we can know back stories of all items sold at this shop. I think this is funny, and that we can use them more carefully by knowing their back ground.

In Edo period, recycling was very natural custom. Recently, we tend to want new items because we can get almost anything we want. So, these kinds of shops give us the opportunities to think about importance of recycling.

Pass the Baton is the name of a consignment shop which is in Aoyama. Basic idea of this shop is to sell the products which are brought by the customers. Some of the products are upcycled products which means that useless products are renewed into better quality or into better environmental value products. The interesting part of this shop is that the products are tagged with the profile which is written by the person who brought the products. They also write the story of the products such as why they brought the products to Pass the Baton. The owner of this shop thinks that exchanging people's history, culture and story through the products are the main point of recycling or upcycling the products.

By watching this video, I thought that recycling is just not about renewing the products. Pass the Baton showed us that recycling can connect and relate the people through the products. After knowing the story of its products, I think we feel more precious about the products and this might reduce the number of products that are thrown away. If I have a chance, I want to visit this shop.

study abroad

I was studying abroad when I was in the tenth grade.
I stayed in Washington in America with my host family.
It will take days if i talk everything about it so i'll make it shorter.

I was going to Bethel High School. I was doing same thing as other students.
I was taking Geometry, Child Development, Ceramic Art, Aerobics, US History, English, Culinary, and TA at Library.

Geometry was super easy. They, 10th grader, was studying what I studied in elementary school.

Child Development was super difficult. first of all, words used in the subject are not defined even in the dictionary because they are too special. To learn medical thing in English was too difficult for me.

I lover Ceramic Art. it was not like a class. we could make whatever we want to make.

US History, it was hard for me, too because I only had poor knowledge of us history.
i think i worked on this subject the best. Mr. Reopelle, the teacher of us history, was so nice.

Aerobics was fun. we were just walking, talking, walking, talking......

TA is a teachet assistant. I was a teacher asistant at Library. basically, i had nothing to do in this class, so I was making a puzzle! lol or playing on compuer.

in the culinary class, we have to work for cafeteria, so I was working for cafeteria everyday at 3rd period. that was nice because we could get lunch for free.

the schedule is same everyday. the text book is huge like a pictorial book.

new semester starts in September and school ends in June.
clubs are different by season. I was in the tennis club in Spring.

everything is different from japanese school system.
I got confused at first, but it was a great opportunity to experience different culture.

I talked about school today. next time, I will talk about daily life in america.

Tokyo Homeless Town

We watched the short video about homeless people last Friday.

 Mr. Saito who is one of the homeless lived in the park. He earns money by reselling old comic books. He likes cloths and is interested in fashions, especially high brand. He reads fashion magazines and treasures his gray suit in his house in the park. He seems to be very happy while he was talking about fashion. 

I’ve thought homeless people were pitiful, but some of them maybe don’t. I felt Mr. Saito was satisfied with his life though he didn’t have money.

I think people who have money are not all happy. Similarly, homeless people are probably not all pitiful.

Presentation

Tomorrow, I'll have to do group presentation about Farewell to Arms in American literature's class.
Yesterday, I went school and prepared presentation with group member. We finished making slide, so have to practice reading script. I'm poor in doing presentation in front of a large cloud, so I'm nervous now.Besides this, tomorrow is part-time job.I didn't go part-time job yesterday, so I'll go tomorrow. Tomorrow will be so hard day.

By the way, I'm choosing book for next book report. I want to read Great Gatsby or The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I borrowed them at the library and read a little. I'll consider and decide which to read.

Tokyo Homeless

I watched a short movie avout Tokyo homeless last IE3 core class.
In this movie, Mr. Saito, who is one of the Tokyo homeless, collected magazines for a living.
He is very fashionable, and enjoys dress up himself.
I was very surprized at his cheerfulness because I had thought all homeless was disappointing because of daily hardship.
After watched this movie, I was given spirits by him.
I think if hard things happen, I keep my mind cheerful like him.

Logorama

Logorama is a short film that we watched in the class few weeks ago. I totally forgot to post a comment for this film.

As we saw, there are lots of companies' logos and characters appeared in this film. This shows that our lives in real world are surrounded by those companies and it also shows that we rely too much on them. It is true that those companies made our lives more convenient. However, it is also true that the numbers of company are increasing and this rising trend is threatening the environment. Logorama showed this by the result of the city which gets collapse in the end.

I enjoyed watching this film since it was a comedy touch. But it also had an important motif that we all should think about it.

Tokyo Homeless Documentary

We watched another short movie about homeless people in Tokyo. The movie was mainly about one homeless guy named Saito, who started living in the park after losing his job.
Saito show us his life-style and tell us about his daily life. He looks for comic books on the streets and sells them for living.
His life seems not easy at all but he is still manage to have some fun. He likes reading fashion magazines and seeing fashions at department stores.

In capitalism society, there is an idea that money equals happiness. Although it might be true, it doesn't apply to everyone and Mr Saito's life is good example. Although he is homeless and doesn't have money, he is not sad at all. Even in difficult life, he is managing to find some kind of fun and enjoying it. Maybe he is telling us that It is possible to live happily without money.

Tokyo Homeless

The short film we watched changed our general view of  homeless.
Actually not all of them are poor people and some love their own lifestyle
as homeless.
Mr. Saito is the remarkable one of them.
Now he is earning a living to resell comic books already used to be read
and thrown away onto the streets.
Though he looks unrich, it's not so.
What he likes is the fashionable brand goods and he has some of them: CHANEL,
Louis Vuitton or Bvlugari.
If he sell his collection, surely he would not be a homeless but he will never do that
because they are all priceless for him rather than the life in stable and moreover
he must be feeling satisfaction with his lifestyle.
Watching him, I was assured that.

They have their own reason to live in such a lifestyle.
What the "rich" means would be different by individual.
It is just the very "poor" to look at someone only from a biased view point.

IT

I haven't finished IT skill check yet so I fret away these days.  I have much trouble with passing IT check because I am unacquainted with excel.  It makes my forehead ache... help me!

Pass the Baton

We watched the short movie about up cycling. The name of the shop is "Pass the Baton" and it's a new type of consignment shop in Omote Sando. what is unique to the shop is there are cards which show the profiles of the people who brought the product, messages and the backstories that each product has. The examples of them are shoes, Kimono and cup with a rusk. The owner of the shop, Masamichi Tohyama, said that every person has their own culture, history and aesthetic then intertwining these stories makes a new culture.

I think this new kind of shop like "Pass the Baton" is really interesting. I didn't even know that there is a shop like this but it tells us we waste things too much and it makes us cherish old things more than before.

What's Upcycling

There is a shop named "Baton" which is carrying out Upcycling.
Upcycling means the special recycle way through the derlivery of items
from the one used to use and no more to use to the one going to take the next turn.
It is the reason for the name of the shop because the buton is just the best name
for the job taking a role of a broker on Upcycling.

The owner requires the exhibitor some profile with a photo of him/her and the story
of the item.
He says the unique point of Upcycling is on that the both of them can share
their philosophy and their thinking through the item.

What a sophisticated idea it is!!!
I really synmpathize the owner who hopes to connect the relationship among people
through the activity and to make the conception of recycle more interesting.

I watched a short movie about upcycling shop in last core class. 

The name of the shop is “Pass The Baton”.

The unique point of the shop is attaching a card which are written about people who bring items to items.
The shop devises the way to sell various things.
For example, it sells setoyaki with some rusks.
The shop's orner hopes various costumers pass the parsonal culture each other.

Pass The Baton

     The shop is one of consignment shops.

     They ask who bring items to give them his/her pictures, profiles and the backstory of item.

     A set of a mug, which was made in Seto, and rusk bread.

5. What’s the hope the owner has?

      He hope the costumers exchange their personal cultures, histories, and aesthetics each other through bringing and buying products.

 

My opinion

     I want to visit this shop. But one thing I’m worry is, how much those products are. Some products appeared in the Video was really attractive for me but if they takes so much many, I hesitate to buy it.

     I agree with the owner’s thought that we should refrain our mass-production and mass-consumption, but it’s hard to come true under the depressed situation.

Tokyo Homeless Town

This is a short movies about homeless living in Shibuya. Name of the homeless is Mr. Saito. He is living in the park. He is living without electricity, so uses candle as lump. He is earn a living by reselling comic books found in the streets.He likes famous brand such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton. He has Luis Vuittons's sunglasses and Bvigari's watch. He likes seeing fashion at the department stores. Though he is living in poverty, he looks happy. He seems to be satisfied with his life.

I think if he is happy now, it will be good for him to continue living as homeless. However, it is diffucult for me to understand his feeling. I often see homeless at Kashiwa station, near my house. They use newspapers as futon, and living in dirty station. I don't know their feeling, but poverty is intolerable for us. Many people don't take care of them, but it may be good for homeless. Indeed richness is not always happy, some rich people may have discontent or nothingness. Mr. Saito looked happy, so it might be one kind of happiness. I think definition of happiness is different from each other. Therefore, if homeless people are happy, they shuold live as they hope.  I hope   the number of homeless decrease and they live comfortably.

Tokyo Homeless

A homeless Mr. Saito scrapes by reselling comic books and has a hobby, fashion but I don't think he is really happy.  Probably he thinks he lives without trouble and no problem but from the viewpoint of the other people, he is insanitary, dangerous and miserable.  Existence of homeless reflects badly on image and security of the city.

Increase of the number of homeless indicates not only depression but disintegration of relationship with family and local community.  Government must help; local government and family should help them to live in an institution or a house.

Tokyo Homeless

Last IE3's class, I watched another movie about Tokyo homeless. Now, many homeless people exist and there are about 80 homeless in the park in Shibuya. I sometimes walk near this park and I was surprised this number. After i watched this movie, I was surprised that homeless who are forced to live that situations have firm things such as fashion. It is so great thing.

Upcycling

We watched a short movie about "uncycling." There is a consignment shop called "Pass the Baton" in Omotesando, Tokyo. What makes this shop unique is that people bring upcycling items to the store.
Before giving it to the store, they put a tag with their name, comment and history/story (of the item) to their items. Examples of products are shoes, clothes and cups.
The owner, Masamichi Toyama decided to open up the shop because he thinks it is important to cherish old things. The concept of the shop is to present the old items in a better way.

It was interesting idea. I think it is important to cherish the old items and not to waste things.

Tokyo Homeless Town

Last IE3 Core class, we watched a short movie about homeless people in Tokyo. There are a lot of homeless people in Tokyo, especially in Shibuya. One of them Mr.Saito told the story about what is going on in homeless town. He uses a candle instead of a lamp. There are many people who came from outside to the homeless town, and Mr.Saito is sure that they have their own reasons for being there. They are forced to live this way and feel empty inside. However, he doesn't think that many of them have lost themselves.

He likes seeing fashions at the department store and wears some gorgeous goods such as:Bulgari's watch and Louis Vuitton's sunglasses.

In my opinion, he should sell them off and get money to buy something to eat. I cannot understand why he has such expensive goods in spite of being homeless. I also think that he should stop smoking. He should spend the money not on tobacco, but on foods or drinks.

Not only in Tokyo, but in my home town Gunma, there are many homeless people. They have no roof over their heads. Japanese government should support their lives by working out some policies.

Tomorrow I have no class, so I'll go somewhere to look for the book for the next book report.
I will also have to watch the soccer game between Japan vs Oman. Unfortunately, my favorite player, Shinji Kagawa would not play on tomorrow's game because of injures on his leg. I guess Japan team will win by 2-0!!!  I hope their victory!!!

We will have no IE3 Listening class again... I'm very worried about Mrs.Nakasone's condition...

Upcycling

I watched a short movie about upcycling shop in Omote-sando.
This shop's name is "pass the baton" and it is the consignment shop. The unique point in this shop is that customers bring upcycling items and they write the history of the items and name profiles.
This shop has several things such as Kimono and Seto-yaki. The owner hopes that by upcycling, new next stories and new culture happen.

After I watched this movie, I think that it is very interesting to write the history of upcycling items,because by doing that, the new buyers can know what happened the items. And I was surprised that  in Edo era, recycling were done in the whole town. I sometimes go to Omote-sando , so I want to go to this shop.

Recycle and Upcycle

In IE Core Class, I watched a short movie about recycle shop in Omote-sando.
The name of this shop is PASS THE BATON. This shop is unique because we can know the story of every item. In general, we can't know the story of those items in recycle shop. Sometimes, I go to recycle shop near my house but there are no means to know the story.
Knowing about profile and contemplation who had the item is very good. What I want to know is not only the price. Just looking recycled goods is not interesting. With knowing story, we can enjoy shopping in recycled shop.

 In this shop, there are not only recycled goods but also original goods and old clothes. For example, package cup with rusk, remake bag with printing and embroidery. Knowing the background of goods and remaking them into better goods. I think this method is attractive.
In Edo period, there were custom of recycling. It was surprising. These days, there are many goods. Maybe we are richer than people living in Edo. However, we tend to throw away goods and get newer one. In this situation, the story of item end and break off. The owner of this shop to  mix many stories of goods and create next culture.

I often go Omote-sando but didn't know there were this shop. I thought recycle shop is just buy used goods with cheap price. That image was gone. This shop seems interesting because I feel as if I can talk to the owner of  item. I want to go this shop someday.

The Consignment Shop

I was so interested in the idea; we can get not only an item but backstory of it.  We have personal responsibility to the item by sharing items and the background.  It's better than recycling because recycling needs energy.  In the case of consignment, it doesn't consume and the items don't loose their history.  Tohyama's shop is pretty great!

Recycle and Upcycle

We watched the short movie about recycling and upcycling. I was very surprised at the fact that people in Edo period had the habit of recycling. Actually, I have never heard of the word"upcycle." In the recycle shop at Omote sando branch called Pass the Baton, we can see various things which many customers brought to. Pass the Baton is a new type of consignment shop. The owner of this store Masamichi Tohyama had a concept of upcycling. In other words, he tried to present used items such as: clothes, antique furniture and ornaments in a better way. He also told us that we could create new culture by recycling and upcycling various things that has different history, culture and background.  I think it is good for environment to recycle and upcycle things because we can reduce the amount of garbage. In fact, I looooove used clothes very much!!!!
I have been to Omote sando several times, but I didn't know the existence of Pass the Baton.  Certainly I will be interested in this shop. If I have an opportunity, I wanna drop in at there.
The day before yesterday, we had IE3 classes and gave presentation about the book you read. I was very happy to finish 1st book report in this term, but we will have 2nd book report a month later... I haven't decided the next book yet.

The Nutcracker

Next day, I'll go to see the Nutcracker which is one of the famous ballet program. Actually, i don't like the program so much, but I'll go because i was invited by my senior of ballet. the Nutcracker is played mainly at the end of the year because the story is about the Christmas day, so now many many ballet play the program instead of others. therefore I'm a little unhappy. I'd like to see another program...but the next day will be fun!
the senior who will go with me next day is very kind. she is now fourth grade of a university. she  and i had went to the same elementary school, junior high school and ballet studio. we know almost everything about us each other, so I'm very happy when we go out together and talk about the past memories. recently, she gives me an advice for ballet, so I'm looking forward to receiving some advice next day.

ISETAN Shinjyuku

Last Wednesday was my mother's birthday, so my parents and i went to the Italian restaurant, AGIO at the ISETAN department. The restaurant is my mother's favorite one, so i booked it in advance with an offer to prepare surprise for her. After my part-time job, i went to the B1floor, where is my favorite floor because there are many delicious food, and i bought a present, high quality caramel for my mother. Does anyone know the Henri Le Luex? I bought it there, famous for expensive but delicious! After we having had a dinner, the restaurant gave her a surprise as a style of birthday's dessert plate. I was very happy that my mother became happy!;-) I'm looking forward to go to the ISETAN next time.

Exhausted

 I could finish my book report! I believe it's a very nice one... After I finish "And Then There Were None", I really impressed! I want to recommend it everybody in my class. Anyway, I'm too sleepy! Today I have to try not to sleep in the class...

Logorama

A few weeks ago, I watched the short movie named Logorama. This movie uses many companies' logo, for example;Mac's M mark. At first, I didn't understand the theme of Logorama. After I watched it some times, I became to think that the world of Logorama represents our real world. Many companies are fighting with another companies. Because of this competition, our world will be weak and fragile in the future.

last saturday

In November 3rd, I went to the junior high school which i belonged to.
it was the school festival of the school.

I went there to hear the chorus club.
they won the third prize at the national NHK chorus competition.
some members reminded me and greeted!
I was very pleased.

they will have another competition in December and a concert in next April.

I hope they do their best.

book report

Legorama has great impression for me. There are a lot of legos in thos movie. its fun! Donald's face is always present in my mind. 

i don't understand what the maker wants to say through this movie , but now, Mac is one of the big company which treats food and drink. As u know, Though the food is cheeper and delicious, it is bad for the health and also bad for our planet. 

Academic Skills

Today I have an examination, so I feel nervous. The exam is listening test about Canada as far as I heard in last class of academic skills. According to my friend, the time of the exam is about 30 minutes. As the time is not so long, I am relieved a little. I will study about Canada to increase score because I do not hit on what to do. If you know about Canada in details, please teach me!
