Oktapodi

The main characters in this short film are the two octopuses(a male octopus which is orange and a female octopus which is purple) who are in love with each other and a cook who is trying to deliver the female octopus to a restaurant. The film takes place in Greece. The two octopuses want to stick together but the cook wants one of them to be cooked at the restaurant. The octopuses want freedom. On the other hand, the cook wants them cooked so they are all struggling to get what they want. The movie ends with a female octopus trying to sling shot herself to the bird that took the male octopus away. I think that even after the female octopus succeeds in getting back the male octopus, the two octopuses will still face a lot of obstacles.

Color Hair Mask

Recently, I bought a hair mask "Natur Vital", which dies your hair temporarily and back to your normal hair color in about 10days. It's good for people who got bored of your hair color and want to change your hair color temporarily.
Although I wanted to die my hair to darker normally, I couldn't because I got a hair extension about two weeks ago and I was told that I shouldn't die my hair by a hair stylist. So I died my hair by myself in damageless way. I think it's working. I recommend it to you if you want to change your mood!

Oktapodi is a story where two octupuses fight for their lives against a restuarunt cook in a escape through a village near the sea. They get away but one gets caught by a bird flying nearby. The other octopus uses the electric wire as a sling shot to help the one in need of help. I predict that the bird flies away and they will be seperated forever.

The main characters of this short movie are a pair of love struck octopuses and a stubborn cook. The octopuses are deeply in love and throughout the story they become separated and then find each other. The cook is their nemesis who tries to catch the female octopus and prepare her for a dish. The comical chase takes place in a small Greek town. At the end of the story octopuses successfully escape from the vengeful cook, but as soon as they find each other, a seagull flies over and snatches away the male octopus. The other octopus determind to get her partner back from the evil hands, flies after the seagull.

It appears to me that this is a never ending story where the octopuses will struggle to find each other and become separated endlessly. I thought that the message of this movie was "People have to struggle forever when they go against their fate and tries to obtain their freedom." 

The movie reminded me of Fiding Nemo. After I watched Oktapodi couple of times, I also watched another short video called Fugu which also had a similer story line. Link below if anyone is interested.

Sports Day!

Tomorrow after school, I will go to Yoyogi 1st Gymnasium to see my high scool's sports day. The place is near AGU so it's very easy to go. I'm looking forward to meeting teachers and my former teammates from the football club. It's going to be awesome!

Well first, my idol for the past 8 years, Demi Lovato.
She's a former Disney channel star! She starred in Camp Rock^^
She's a singer with a very wide voice range
and can hit the high notes without any problems.
Her songs are great and I would totally recommend it to everybody!
Then my second favorite artist is Kelly Clarkson.
She was the first American Idol and also has one of the most
amazing voice in the industry!
Her songs are very nice too and worth listening.

I was born between a filipino mother and a japanese father in the Philippines. I was raised there until the age of 4 and after that spent 2 years in Japan. At the age of 6 I moved to England and came back to Japan when I was 13.

 

If someone asked me what do you like doing I'd probably answer listening to music, singing, going to lives and drawing. Well, when I say lives I mean like the small live houses - and by drawing I mean like little scribbles on the corner of the page kinda drawing.

 

I like a lot of things tbh. But that's just going to take too much space so I hope to talk to you guys and just to like get to know eachother more.

Reunion

Last night, I went to the reunion party of my middle school! I had so much fun.

On the news today, I saw many people still in refuges. The earthquake has calmed down a little but cannot say it's safe for sure. I've made some donations for Kumamoto. There might not be that much we can do for them but I did the best I could.

It's still Monday

I've recently started working part-time at a Hawaiian restaurant near my house :)

There aren't any classes on Monday morning, so I worked 5 hours before I went to school today.

It's a little bit tiring, but learning new things is always exciting for me.

Ice monster

I went to "Ice Monster" in Harajuku. It's an ice cream shop from Taiwan. I ate mango ice cream. it was so big that I had a stomachache ache while eating this. Being a university student is really nice because you get to go to famous places without lining up but I don't have any money so I need to do some part time job...😭

I can't believe the weekend's coming to an end! I finally got my P.C and started working on my reports. I never thought that university life would be this busy. Monday... my least favorite day of the week is about to start. I hope I can wake up and not be late for class...

Watching 99.9 as I'm writing this.

I went to Harajuku today to buy some concert goods of Sexy Zone with a friend of mine from high school. After that, we were planning to watch a movie at Shinjuku but the seats were full, so instead of doing that, we went to Kinokuniya and Animate (I wanted to buy a comic book). I couldn't find the comic book I wanted, so after we said our goodbyes, I went to the Animate at Ikebukuro - FINALLY bought the book and read it on my way home :p

So these are what I had been doing today. I usually spend time at home watching Youtube videos, watching TV, or reading comic books so I don't really have anything to write about :L Today was special, I guess.

Book suggestion

Hey all!! How've you been doing?

Actually I can really use everyone's help on deciding which book I should read for the book report assignments since I have 2 BOOKS to choose! I need to make a book report not only in this class but also in Reading class... And I'm really at lost now.

Still, I've chosen one already, which is "hypnotist's love story". I know it sounds so girly and maybe trashy, but I've read this before and it still makes me feel like reading it again :)

Lacrosse

Hey, how are you doing?

Today, I went to Oomiya in Saitama prefecture to practice lacrosse for the first time in my life.

I woke up at 5a.m. , that's time when I am usually sleeping in bed because I am a lazy girl and I always wake up late.

I hadn't moved my body for about a year, so I got really tired.

My whole body hurts because of muscle ache:(

But I had a really fun time playing lacrosse with other freshmen!!

Ski club

Yesterday I went bowling and played darts with people in ski club called LesSki. It was my second time to hang out with those people. Although I didn't get high score on both bowling and darts, it was so fun!! Since I love skiing, I'm going to join the ski club. In GW, we have a training camp for 3 days in Nagano. I'm so excited!!
Anyway, which clubs are you guys going to join? If you are interested in ski, let me know!

The artist I'm really into right now is ONE OK ROCK and Shimizu Shota and boku no ririku no bouyomi. I want friends who can go to those artist's lives, concerts, and fes together with me.

My very first blog

I'd like to start off my very first blog by introducing myself.
Those who are close to me probably already know but my name is Maya Lisa Kimura.
I was born in New York, lived there for 7 years, moved to Chiba and lived there until our family were told to move to Vietnam when i was 14. I lived there for 2 and a half years and went to an international school. I came back to Japan when i was in grade 10 and went to a Japanese high school for 2 years. I'm sorry if that was a bit confusing :/
Since nobody could speak English in my high school, I'm really looking forward to having a conversation in both English and Japanese with you guys.
There were times I faced difficulties in accepting cultural differences, so I'm very happy that so many of you have a similar background as me. :)

Hi! My name is Rena Ishikawa.
Please let me briefly introduce myself.

I was born here in Japan and was raised here. Never really lived outside here, but I have visited the States a couple of times. How I can speak English, you ask? Well, it's because I attended an international school for nine years and my mom didn't really let me watch Japanese shows when I was little. I was pretty mad when she didn't allow me watch anime shows(which I loved and still love), but now I appreciate her for doing so, since I can write, speak, and read English because of that (though not as good as you all :X).

I like to listen to music and play instruments such as the drums, piano, guitar (still practicing this one), and the saxophone. Artists and bands I like are ONE OK ROCK, UVERworld, SPYAIR, Johnny's, Hikaru Utada, SCANDAL, and a lot more! I also like to read novels (favorite book, Sherlock Holmes... anyone else?), both in Japanese and in English, and watch movies. Mainly horror and mystery movies. Can't stand watching romance movies, sorry :p And planning to go see I am a Hero and Nozokime soon! As I mentioned in the last paragraph, I just LOVE anime and manga! My favorite is Gintama and Tokyo Ghoul! Looking for someone to talk about them :O

So this is about me, and I'm sure some of you would be quite creeped out if I said I'm an otaku, but sorry I am one :X I hope many of you would still talk to me even so. Well since this is my first entry i'm gonna start off with a self-introduction : )

I was born in Japan but was raised in the Philippines and I spent most of my childhood there.

My favorite pastime is listening to all sorts of music such as Western, Kpop, anime songs etc... I used to take voice lessons so I like singing too! I also like watching American movies/dramas and I'd love to hear your recommendations!

....Honestly speaking, since I was an elementary student I wasn't good, or maybe I should say terrible, with essays and compositions but I'll do my best and I hope to improve my writing skills through this class :D
