About transgender people in Thailand

1) Why are there so many transgender people in Thailand?

I haven't heard this fact, so I didn't know why. I researched in Internet and learned about this. Thailand is Buddhist country and the maternal society. Although there are discrimination awareness a little, people in Thailand are tolerant about transgender and homosexual love. There are many drag queens. A sex change operation is legal and Thailand accepts many patients.

2) What do you think about transgender people and their civil right?

I think transgender people aren't the problem. Human's thought and feeling are various. And transgender people may be distressed about it. We don't have the reason we dislike those people. And we have to respect their right. Although they are transgender people, they are human the same as us. We mustn't discriminate them any more.
