Nice to meet you, Dr. Armstrong. And longtime no see, my class mates. My name is Maya DEGUCHI. I’m from Fujimino city (it’s close to Kawagoe city) in Saitama prefecture. Now I live in Schoonmaker Dormitory in Sagamihara Campus.
My hobby was Playing the piano, but now I cannot play it well. I’m interested in Reading novels, visiting museums and listening music. I’m a fan of Sherlock Holmes series and Harry Potter series. I also like works of Michael Ende and Erich Kastner, both of them are German author of literature for children.
I used to visit a museum every Sunday. I went Ueno to see the exhibition of
Inca empire last spring vacation. There were many colorful clothes. I was surprised they hadn’t
faded at all. My favorite artists is Leonardo da Vinci, Vermeer, Klee and
Picasso.
My favorite
singer is Lady Gaga. I was impressed with the massages in “Born This Way”.
