The story is set in the small house in the countryside.
The main character is Stanely a young man who never have left the house in his life.
The conflict is Stanely vs himself. At the climax all of his mechanical friends stops moving and he sees the real world for the first time in his life. In the story, the bird is the symbol of life and nature.
Irony in this story is what he believed to be life and love have actually never has existed, and he burries his family. The theme of the story is value of life cannot be produced artificially.
