Mirage

The main character of this short story is an odd looking robot that's always seeking for water. The story takes place underwater and the timeline may be in the future. The conflict is robot vs. itself. Water is a symbol for human desire and longings. The climax of the story is when the robot cut open the fruit-like thing full of water in it and the robot contemplates what to do with the goldfish which fell from it too. The irony is the robot keeps on seeking and longing for water even though it is surrounded by water. Widen your horizon, the thing you wish for maybe there just right in front of you is the main message and our (human's) never ending desire is the theme of the story.
