Book for next book report

I have not decided a book yet but I decided author. I am thinking to read novel from Jane Austen. I read "Emma" by Jane two years ago. From that time, I was obsessed with her novels. The reason why I start thinking to learn English Literature was her. Her writing brings me into the another world that I will never experience. She wrote books interpret, critique and comment upon the life of the British gentry at the end of the 18th century. I am so excited to write about her and telling you how amazing person she is.

coconut oil

Hello everyone. How was your weekend?

Today, I want to talk about coconut oil. I found out about coconut oil about two years ago. Since then, I just keep adding that into everything. When I cook something, I use coconut oil instead of olive oil or sunflower oil. You can use coconut oil for your body, face, even hair. Also, I put that in coffee, soy milk, pasta, etc. Coconut oil is very good for your health!
If you know any good recipe for coconut oil, please let me know.

Book for the next book report

I haven't decided my next book yet, but I'd like to read a romantic story like The Vow or Dear John. Both of them are filmed few years ago and acted by my favorite acter Channing Tatum. So this time I'd like to read that in novel.

Lunch

Yesterday, I had lunch with a friend of mine, Akane.
I met her in Toefl Seminer when I was a high school student.
She goes to a college in California but now she came back for summer vacation.
She is very nice and charming person. One of my dream is to go shopping with her in California.

Book for the new book report

I am still thinking of the new book I am going to read next. There are too many books to choose from but I want to read an interesting one like the last book I read.

Rain and part time job

Today I didn't have lacrosse practice due to rain so I was able to sleep more today. 

 

Also like Mai, I also found a part time job and I started working from last week. I did enjoy it but I think I will get very busy and tired if I work too much.

Book for the book repot

I borrowed "Flower for Algernon" from Mr. Armstrong.

I saw this play in Japanese, read the Japanese version of the book, and watched the Japanese TV drama before.

So, I think I am going to choose this book, however, I am thinking about reading "The notebook".

Hi, I watched "konan"tonight. 

I don't really watch anime, though Konan is somehow my favorite.

I never miss watching new one every spring, so I am looking forward for the next one from now!:)

Euro 2016

Euro 2016 began day before yesterday in France. It's a big football competition to decide the best team in Europe. I will support England since I used to live there but they drew with Russia 1-1 yesterday so I'm quite upeset. I'm hoping they can win the next game and eventually become the champions of Europe.

Hi, I watched senpai playing lacrosse for the first time today.

Although I do not completely understand the rules yet, I learned a lot and I got inspiration by their playing.

Tomorrow, the lesson was canceled due to rain, so i will probably wake up late:)))

I am thinking of reading either the lord of the flies or the the catcher in the rye.
I thought i would like to read the catcher in the rye because my friend kosuke read it for the first book report and it sounded very interesting.

I am thinking of reading  "The curious incident of th dog in the night time" This book is first person narative written from perspective of an autistic child who is actually genius of Math.

However, I am also thinking of reading "To kill the mocking bird" or "Lord of the flies" as they are very interesting too...

Looking at the selection I have chosen so far, I think I like sad stories....

This story takes place inside the house standing in middle of the field. A man called Dtanley Pickle lives there with his clockwork parents. Conflict is Stanley vs himself. Climax is when the girl runs away because Stanley gave her a clockwork dead bird. Irony is Stanley thought that girl would be happy by making the bird move again but she didn't. The theme is life cannot be controlled by human. Life comes to an end and you can't deny that destiny. Stanley shouldn't have done that.

Craving for a good movie

Recently I discovered that I haven't watched any movie for a very long time.
I figured out that the reason I've been avoiding movies is I get way too emotional after watching them.

You see, if I watch a movie with sad and bad story certainly I feel depressed. But the thing is, if I watch a movie with a very happy plot, I get depressed as well because I can't stand to watch any happy people having their "happy, magical life"

Climax of this video is when Stanley finally buried his parent's dead bodies and set himself free.
The dead bird the misterious girl had in her hand was black and symbolizing something ominous.  It could be heralding the terror she would experience by Stanley's weird act.

Irony in this story is his parents are in fact not real human anymore but just machine he created so that he won't be alone.

I figured out this theme of the video is, "It is better to live a real life alone than livening surrounded by fake people "

Boiled vegetables

Recently, my younger brother makes boiled vegetables. From before, he loved making something, but this time he wants to show us since he learned a recipe at his elementary school. Actually it tastes so good so I'm eating those boiled vegetables every day!!!

This story starts from am9:00 in the middle of nowhere. In the house, son, his father and his mother live happily. Conflict is He VS himself because he is too shy to go outside. Climax can be all machines are broken. Machine means his mother and his father which he made up. Symbol of this film is gear. Time passes. People glow up. Irony is that he tries to fix everything but there are some that you will never fix up. Theme is natural is best. You cannot get happiest from machine.

My friend

My friend came at house and started weeping about her being dumped while I'm doing my homework. I ended up finishing my homework at 4 in the morning.

This film takes place in rural area. The characters in this film are Stanley Pickle, his parents, and the girl who he falls in love with. The climax is when Stanley shows the mechanically revived bird to the girl to relieve her from sadness. To his surprise, the girl freaked out and ran off to the forest. This is also an irony because that is the opposite of what he expected to happen. The theme of this story is that real life happiness cannot be made artificially.

Meat or Pork or Chicken or whatever

recently, i've been translating a japanese menu into english (for the restaurant i work at).
the restaurant is a yakiniku place so the menu mostly has the parts of a cow as the name of a dish. カルビ into bone-less short rib, ホルモン into organs.
translating all this is ok, fine, sure - but memorizing it is just...
all the staff already had to memorize the whole thing in japanese, but now in english? please.
but we have to do it anyway, since we're paid for it :P

Sometimes

Sometimes I just want to go somewhere far away into the countryside.
Go somewhere where the sky is clear and the stars are visible.
And just stare at the stars and forget about everything else.

Stanley falls in love with a girl whom he thinks is beautiful.
The conflict - Stanley vs himself.
Symbol -  humans representing freedom and creativity whereas the robots are limited to what they can do and are emotionless. Also the bird may be a symbol of connection.
I think that the theme is the diffuculty of relationships between one another. That loosing something which was close to you is diffucult but there is a need to accept death. And also that life doesn't always go as planned.

Back to the Future

Last night I watched one of my favorite movies of all time Back to the Future. My absolute favorite scene from the movie is when Marty McFly starts playing Johnny B. Goode at the prom night. I was hugely influenced by that scene and it is the reason why started playing the guitar. Rock On!

Irony is the fact that Stanley feels comfortable living with fake parents locking himself in the house, however he demands to be free and be like other humans. The theme of the story is human relationship. He does not know how to communicate with other humans, because he only interacts with robots and toys, however he had made his first step.

The theme of this story is people shouldn't do things they don't know much about and the other theme is life is hard to control.

And then there were none

On Thursday I had a chance to watch the movie of the novel I'm reading for the book report next week. The content differed so much that I thought I was watching the wrong film, but it turned out that most of the films published had some arranges.

Dirt rally

Last Saturday I went to Chiba to support the senior students practice the dirt rally. I had a chance to get on board on the senior students car and it was really thrilling.

The story takes place in a suburb of somewhere,surrounded by nature. The conflict of this story is person vs person. The climax is when he notices the women out side the house. He then fell in love with her. The symbol of this story is the bird. It becomes a connection between two people. But sadly it didn't go so well. He tries to fix the bird to impress the her but once he showed her the bird, she rejected it. The theme of this story is that what you think as a normal thing is sometimes not common for other people.

The fan and the flower

The story took place in a room of a house, where there was a fan on the ceiling. A plant was brought to the room. The problem was that they had a distance between each other. The climax is when the flower starts dying due to lack of watering. The fan spun as fast as he could and made  a hole in the ceiling. From the hole, rain came in and the flower was able to live again.

The theme of this story is love because at the last part the flower changed it's shape to a fan looking flower, not to forget about the ceiling fan.

The theme in this film is that life won't last forever and we have to make the most of it while we are still alive.

Night shift

I am staying at the stables tonight for night shift to feed the horses.
It's actually quite exciting but since everyone is already in bed, I should go to bed now...
It's going to be early morning tomorrow!

Irony in this story is what he believed to be life and love have actually never has existed, and he burries his family. The theme of the story is value of life cannot be produced artificially.

UVERworld 16th anniversary

Today is the 16th anniversary since my favorite band had organized.

My friend failed to get the live tickets for the UVERworld concert...

I love their songs, and I am desperate to go see them again.

Talking about Japanese rock music, I also love ONE OK ROCK.

Starbucks

Today I went to Starbucks with a friend of mine. We worked on an assignment together for about 6hours. I've still got lots to finish. This weeks gonna be a long one.

Time Flies

Hi, guys. How's your life in this university?
It's already June, which means 2 months have passed since we entered Aogaku.
 In this 2 months, a lot of things happend and that changed me a lot in a good way( I hope).
Although Aogaku was not my First choice university, I'm glad that I enrolled this university and met you guys and other friends. I'm exciting what will happen and how I change in 4 years.

This short film takes place in a small house of a country side.
The conflict is Satnley vs. himself.
The climax is that Stanley sees a girl from his room's window and then she sees him too.
The bird which the girl buried is a symbol of a thing you cannnot bring back again.
The irony is that Stanley has been thinking that to bring died creatures back by making them robot is good, but after he saw the reaction of the girl who terrified the robot bird, he stopped creating cyborgs.
The theme of this story is that we need to admit  the death of people or animals we loved.

Part-time job

Hi guys. I recently started part-time job at delivery sushi store called 'ginnosara'. I have never worked as part-time before because my high school didn't allow the students to do so. I realized how hard it is to earn money. I'm hoping I can get used to the work as soon as possible..

fireworks

hi guys :) How's your weekend so far?
I went to see fireworks with people from my circle on Thursday.
This was the very first fireworks I've seen this year.
There's so many more coming this summer which I'm very excited about.

Finals

The NBA Finals are about to start. Steph's going against the best player in the world, Lebron James. Game starts at 10:00am. It sucks that I can't watch it live...
