Mantis Parable

One day a caterpillar was caught by a boy who like catching insects and make specimens. The caterpillar was put into a bottle, and it cannot leave from it. The caterpillar tried to leave from it not to be killed by the boy  and become one of specimens. At that time, a mantis came into the room and found a caterpillar in a bottle. The mantis tried to help the caterpillar, but it couldn't because it's hard for it to open the cap of the bottle. So, the mantis gave up helping... And then, the mantis is going to leave from the room, but the mantis was caught by the boy. After a while, the beautiful butterfly came and opened the cap of bottle, and mantis survived.

The theme of this story is probably how important to be kind to other people. I think the proverb,  "the good you do for others is good you do your self; compassion is not for other people's benefit," fits this story.
