Genpatsu Kun and Nuclear Boy

1. In my opinion, I think the videos are neither effective nor suitable as teaching materials for children. They might take them funny, which is way out of focus. I understand the difficulty of explaining what had happened in the nuclear power plant accident to children. However, we are trying to tell them that it wasn't comical at all, but was a serious problem. Moreover, I believe the creator should explain the matters more; the effects and what that body waste is. Furthermore, I imagine showing these videos to children will have a great impact on them in a wrong way. For these reasons, I believe giving descriptions based on more reality to children is important, showing them the pictures of what happened in the accident for example.

2. I heard that some mothers are having trouble trying to stop their children from saying such dirty words in the videos. They think by not hearing those words is the most effective way to prevent them from speaking them. I thought that was the possible reason that some people criticized the videos; thinking that it is inappropriate for children and wanting to put an end to their children from saying those words.

3. Although I didn't like both videos, I prefer the Japanese version better. I dislike the English version in three reasons. First, it is rude to say people "You, stinky." We should rather teach children that by saying those words will hurt others. Even if you aren't intended to do bullying, there are cases that the person who hears those words take them as if they are being bullied. Next, it was spoken by a computer, which I could feel no warmth of people or the effort to explain to children. Lastly, I have no idea why nuclear boy is a cyborg... I think it has nothing related to the topic.

4. If I had to put up a poster of either Genpatsu Kun or Nuclear Boy, I would choose Genpatsu Kun. I think I will have trouble sleeping if I were to put up a poster of Nuclear Boy over my bed... The character will be freaking me out every night...
