Fancy Dinner Time!

On Sunday, I got to go dinner with my high school friend.
We went to this fancy restaurant in Shibuya. The interior was fabulous! Our seat were sofas, the table were designed with tiles, there were many small naked light bulbs dangling from the ceiling, and there was the Venus de Milo right next to us. We had salad, pasta, pizza, and sweet potato tart latte. My favorite was the sweet hot drink. I love sweet potato and tart. The combination was splendid. We had such a great time together. I hope to see her again!

Stanley Pickle

Setting: Some beautiful country side, maybe future, or now.

Conflict: Pickle vs himself.

Climax: He buried his dead parents in the ground and went out his house.

Symbol: The screw is the symbol of control. He could do anything in that world. He could even brought back to life of his dead parents and bird.

Irony: Pickle wanted to make the girl happy, but it didn’t work.

Theme: Living is not about machine, same routine, same people. We can’t bring back to life, we can’t control, we can’t start them all over again.

Weekend Shopping

I really enjoyed shopping this weekend.

On Saturday, I went to AEON MALL HINODE ,which is about 30 minutes from my house by bicycle.  I wanted new jeans. I went to some clothing stores,  so it took long time to decide what to buy. At last, I bought two pairs of trousers. I'm very satisfied now.

On Sunday, I went to Shimokitazawa. Shimokitazawa is one of my favorite towns. I like Shimokitazawa.

There is a limited time offer shop near the station. The store is opening at 3:00. I got to the station at 2:45. But many people had already waited in line! I wanted a bag but I was afraid that I couldn't get it. Finally, I entered the shop at 4:00. I lined up over an hour!  Fortunately, I was able to buy the bag.

This is the bag.
  "KEYTALK" is my favorite band.

After that, I ate frozen yogurt.  Can you guess the flavor?

The answer is... pumpkin! It may be difficult for you to imagine the yogurt which tastes pumpukin. It's also hard to explain how the taste was. So I recommend going the shop. (But if you are beginner, "plain" is the best choice, I think.)

Shopping is fun and I like shopping.  But please be careful to spend too much money.

Yuru-Chara

I encountered two Yuru-characters in this weekend.

It was my first time to meet them. I imagined that two characters were aggressive and cheerful. However, the fact was wrong. I didn't feel any energy from them, and I felt sadness from their back, which made me laugh though.

Many children seemed excited to see them, and they hugged with them. It was such a happy sight.

I hope that everyone cheer up them!

Street performance in Sancha

Yesterday, I had joined "Street Performance in Sancha." as a volunteer. It was wonderful experience for me. I did support of the performer. But it was such difficult to do it. I want more skill for that.
It was such a fun.
There were so many wonderful performances. I have never joined such big street performance before, since I had live in Kochi. Tokyo is such a fun city! There are so many things.
I want to join this next year too. If you have interest, let's join together!

Going to my sister`s concert.

Hello.
Today I went to my sister`s concert which was held in Koshigaya.
My sister has been playing the violin since she was three and now goes to Tokyo University of  The Arts. So far she has participated to many competitions and joined many concerts.
She always practice hard, which I really respect.
I love listening to her music and really hope that one day she will be able to be a famous violinist.
Also I want more than one people to be interested in classical music.

Hope you enjoyed your weekends!
(This is my sister, Natsumi. )

My second part-time job

Before, I wrote about my part-time job at a Yakiniku resutrant in this blog. These days, I started to do another part-time job. Some may say to me, "Again?" Part-time job I introduce you this time is also related to meet. I started to work at Shibu-tsu. Some of you may have happened to see my workplace.
My workplace is very close to Aogaku. It is along the Roppongi street and next to Seven-eleven convenience store. It takes about only 5 minutes to go there.

Shibu-tsu has lunch time and dinner time. In lunch time, we serve some kinds of Tonkatsu and hamburg. Prices are inexpensive enough for college students to eat. we are so busy in lunch time because we're understaffed. On the other hand, in dinner time, we serve only cuisines which made with Yamagata beef. There are a la cart, courses and alcohol beverage on the menu. Especially, various kind of wine are served in Shibu-tsu. It is difficult for me to distinguish a lot of wine. However, I'm so interested in wine. So, I'm trying to open it. Dinner prices are little expensive.
I work there on Monday lunch time, Monday dinner time and Tuesday dinner time. If possible, please come to my workplace:)

Mermaid

Setting…I think the setting of this animation is in Japan after W.W.II.
Character…a boy who likes to imagine, mermaid(a fish), policemen, and boy's parents.
Conflict…A boy versus a nation. He likes to imagine. However, the nation where he lives has a rule not to imagine. Although he wants to imagine, he doesn't allowed to imagine by a nation.
Symbol…A mermaid, a fish, symbolizes a boy's imagination. A sea sometimes hit us as Tsunami. Therefore, a sea symbolizes a destruction of ability to imagine. I think this animation symbolizes Japan after the W.W.Ⅱ
Climax…The climax is the scene the boy had come not to see a mermaid and not to imagine.
Irony… After he was forced to read so many books and was trained, he come not to be able to imagine.
Theme…The theme of this animation is the desire that people want to express their emotion and feelings freely. As I mentioned in the setting, I think the setting is in Japan. After W.W.II, Japan had been controlled by GHQ. At that time, GHQ issued Press Code for Japan. The rule included regulation of freedom of speech. As this regulation spread among Japan, a lot of people are robbed of their freedom of speech and imagination. I think this animation may symbolize what Japan was after the war.

Yakiniku

I ate Yakiniku today with my father.
It was very delicious! My body filled with happiness completely!
My family always goes to specific yakiniku shop in Yamanashi prefecture.
This shop is not expensive, but serves good meal. I know many IE members love yakiniku, so you should come Yamanashi prefecture to eat this yakiniku as well as delicious fruits produced in Yamanashi prefecture.

( This picture is so beautiful....)

About my weekend

Last weekend, l went to Sagamihara school festival. I belong to baseball circle "Angels"
In this festival, we sold Agetakoyaki. It was a rainy day, however many people came to out store, and finally sold out. We all did best, it was  pretty fun days

Tennis camp in Yamanashi

This weekend, my tennis circle goes to Yamanashi for tennis camp. It is called "Akigassyuku."  In this camp, 3rd students will graduate from this circle. I like them so much. Therefore I'm sad for it. I want to enjoy it with my full power.

Back to Japan

This week my dad is coming back to Japan! But it's just for a week though.
I'm really excited because it's been a half years since we last met. I hope he is coming back to Japan with some souvenir.
When he reached Japan, my family are planning to do his late birthday party! We are planning to go to the Italian restaurant that my dad loved when he was in Japan. We will give him a surprise birthday cake too. I hope that my dad will enjoy it. Also, we are planning to go to the shopping too. Since my dad is living alone in Saudi Arabia, he needs some instant noodle to survive. So we will go on a drive to a big surper market and buy him some foods.
It's going to be a short time that I can spend time with him, but I want to enjoy as much as possible.

shopping

Yesterday I went to Futagotamagawa with my mother. She was shopping alone and I wanted new clothes so I met her after school. I wanted a new jeans and a sweater so I first went to H&M and found a new jeans. Then I went to Mila Owen and found a blue sweater.
I often go shopping with my mother because she buys me what I want. If I go with my friend or alone I need to pay by myself.

A special day

I went to my junior high and high school's gymnastic festival the other day.

My school is rather big compared to ordinary schools in Japan and there are a lot of trees and is rich in nature.

This year, we had the privilege of a gymnastic team perform from other country.
Their performance was professional and beautiful.
To me, this annual festival is important not because watching the students perform is fun, but because I can meet my friends while taking a walk on campus.

However, this year I couldn't find my friends to talk to, so I was a little sad, and decided to leave school a lot earlier than other people did. It was still noon.

I walked down to the gate, saying good bye to the guard and left. When walking down the street about 100m off the gate however, I found a very familiar guy walking from the other side. He was one of my best friends. I started talking, tellimg him I was only heading to a convenient store to get Lunch, and started walking in the opposite direction with him as if nothing happened.

We talked a lot until the whole festival was over. The performance of the team from other country was held in the afternoon.
And met a lot of friends and went to a restaurant for dinner with friends.
This day is special, but meeting this guy on the way home made the day even more special.

Sagamihara Festival

Last week, I went to the Sagamihara Festival. I belong to futsal circle and we sold tapioka juice. First day, we sold 200 juices. Our goal was to sold 150, so we were happy to achieved it. On the second day, there were less people coming to the Festival, so we only sold 100 juices. In this Festival you can see dance performances or band musics. There are also playgrounds, so that the younger kids can also have fun. I realized how hard to sell something to others, and at the Aoyama Festival, we will sell more than we did at the Sagamihara Festival.

Next I will go back to my hometown, Shizuoka to see my family. I'm planning to go back their on December 31st. I want to spend time with my family on New Year. The food, osechi, made by my mother is very delicious, so I can't wait to go back and eat them.

My Halloween plans

Halloween is coming quite soon!

This year, I have two exciting plans. On next Saturday night, My cousin is coming to visit me, so we are going to join a Halloween party in Sibuya, and then, we move to Simokitazawa and join a kind of exciting party called ‘‘Shimokita Halloween night.’’ We are going to wear a black cat’s costume and make up like a cat! Actually, my cousin and I were born on the same day so we grew up like twins. When we were child, we sometimes wear the same clothes but recently don’t, so we decided to wear the same costume to remember our childhood and feel like a child again!

Also, on Halloween night, one of my best friend from high school is coming to Tokyo, so we are going to go to IKSPIARI to join Miracle Vell Magic’s ‘‘Velly Spooky Night’’ ! This time, we will wear a costume of Anna (a character of Frozen) and make up like a zombie. We both like Miracle Vell Magic (a kind of singer) so we are really exciting to meet her!

I’m sure my Halloween events are all going to be so exciting! I can’t wait!
Do you have any Halloween plans?

After dinner, we went to a cafe, because we wanted to talk more.

It is pumpkin latte. It was slightly bitter for me.

I had a good time with them.

Wedding Party

Last Friday, I went to  my friend's wedding party with my other friend.

The husband, he is my firend and 4 years older than me.

The party was quite small and unofficial.

Just chatting and drinking, talking about how they get togeher.

In addition, they will have baby in December.

It is really pleasing.

Before I went to the party, I'd thought marriage has nothing to do with me.

But, after that, I came to wonder if I can get marry with someone nice.

Meiji Shrine.

I`m happy that these days the weather is so good.
Yesterday I went to Meiji shrine with Momoko.
Actually it was our first time to go there so we were very excited.
I enjoyed the beautiful weather, trees and especially the clean air.
Although yesterday was an ordinary day, there were many foreign people, which was surprising.
I consulted an oracle and made a money offering.
On that day, there was a wedding ceremony held. The women wearing the Kimono was beautiful.

After we finished walking around the shrine, we decided to have a late lunch.
First we wanted to eat Okonomiyaki but the place we wanted to eat was closed.
So we went to a another restaurant called "Negishi" which is near our school and ate kalbi which tasted very good.

I had a nice time but my legs hurt because I walked too much.

Volunteer Work

Have you volunteered before?

Last Saturday I volunteered at a place called Zou no Hana Park in Yokohama City. It's right next to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, so you could see it from the park.

At the park, there was this event which children could experience to work, get paid (not real money), and then, get candy from what they earned. It was like a small society in that park. There were many work booth and I volunteered in one of those. The chidren were very energitic and worked with enthusiasm. They were so cute. I actually learned many things from them and it was such a great day.

After volunteering the member of the Non Profit Organization (NPO), the Connection of the Children invited me for a late lunch at their sharehouse which also could be a guesthouse. It was very nice of them. The house was under construction when I visited and there were many things all over the place, but the wall were very nice. Guest from all over the world left messages and pictures on the wall. It was colorful and just looking at them I could hear the laughter.

This was my first time participating in Connection of the Childern. I enjoyed very much with the members, so I would like to do it again. Sadly, there is one next week, but I'm not available, so maybe next week?

Mermaid

Setting: an island near the sea.

Conflict: a boy vs society, a boy vs himself

Climax: Mermaid and a boy went to the ocean where they are allowed to dream fantasy.

Symbol: Mermaid is the symbol of this video because mermaid reflects a boy’s heart.

Irony: Nobody but a boy could see mermaid, everyone could see only a fish

Theme: It is important to dream fantasy, and the world should protect the right of free speech.

Mermaid

We watched the video, "Mermaid", by Tezuka Osamu.

Setting: I think this story is set during the World War 1 and 2, at the early 1900s. There were some government oppressions in many countries at that time. The place is untold, however, the appearance of the house reminds me European country where is near the sea.

Character: A boy and his imaginary mermaid (a fish, in fact).

Conflict: The boy vs adults who are around him (including army and his parents).

Climax: When the boy finally sees his mermaid again.

Symbol: Daydream.

Irony:

1. However the government army tries hard to suppress and brainwash the nations, it cannot. Freedom of thought which includes daydream is not completely controlled. Not only it is intangible and very inner; people never forget the things which are really precious for them.

2. All adults ruin the boy’s future by oppression although he may have unlimited possibility. They forget their childhood memories; how they played a world of fantasy and how it was amusing. The daydream is sort of imagination; and it will help people being considerate of others, enhance understanding, and widen their own world. Though, adult deny the boy and even assume that he must be crazy.

Theme:

1. Suppression of freedom of thought and expression.

2. The things which people lose as they have grown up.

Lucky

Last Saturday, I went to Ark Hills Music Week.
I was helping out the event.

Every Saturday, they held "Hills Marche" in the open space.

On my break, I found potato. And it was only 50 yen! I wanted potato to make gratin, so I bought it!
Also, there was big chocolate scone. Usually they don't do that, but the restaurant was selling them in the open space because there was a event.
Luckily, I could buy the last one! I was very happy.

It was a wonderful weekend for me.

Mermaid

Setting: Maybe in Japan(where it was made) 1964(when it was made)
Near the ocean.

Conflict: The boy vs society

Climax: The boy became mermaid and went to the ocean with a mermaid.

Symbol: Ocean represents freedom.
They were very free when they were at the ocean.

Irony: The boy was the only person who could see the mermaid.  No other person could see her.

Theme: People affected by surroundings. If it were ruled to be that, it is worse. It is hard to stuck to our opinion in those world.

The festival in Sagamihara

Last Saturday and Snuday, there was a collage festival in Sagamihara campus.
Our club sold tacos, and we could sell them out. According to our secretary, Tacos sold more than 1,000.
During festival, I could meet many friends and talked. It was a very nice time.

Second grader girls of my group prepared same clothe.
We went for shopping together, and we are very close.

I want to have a lot of memories in this club!

Mermaid

Setting: In a country. There are wide sea and nature.

Character: A boy, a fish(he looks it as a mermaid), his parents, and the police.

Conflict: A boy v.s. human being except him. For example, his parents and the police.

Climax: He saw a mermaid again, and she took him into the sea.

Symbol: A mermaid is the symbol of imagination.

Theme: In this world, it is not allowed to do the imagination that is different from other people. It is important to think in a popular way to have another person accept myself. But it is sad.

Mermaid

setting: in a country near the sea, not so long ago
Character: a boy, a mermaid, parents, police
Conflict: a boy vs the police
Climax: when mermaid turn up again and the boy go induce the sea
Irony: it was only the boy who could see the mermaid and others thought that the boy is crazy
Symbol: the mermaid, a symbol of the freedom of imagination and the symbol of not permitted imagination
Theme: people used think that they must have the same idea and won't accept a different one. And this would kill an imagination and freedom.

Black Beauty

I watched a movie called Black Beauty. I chose a book about it for the book report. I wanted to watch the movie before I read the book.
It was a wonderful movie. Also it was such heartbreaking that I couldn't stop crying. It's about the story of a horse, beautiful black horse. He had been sold for many times and each time he was happy or was very unhappy. I thought it was the right book for the book report and I am looking forward to read the book as well.

Mermaid

Character: a boy and fish (But he reckons it as a mermaid.)

Setting: in a country

Conflict: him vs. himself
him vs. a group of person

Climax: when mermaid goes back to the sea

Symbol: Mermaid represents dream.

Irony: Although he reckons her as mermaid, people do not recognize.

Theme: People tend to criticize a person who has a different thought from others. They should accept many thoughts.

Dinner with my family

I went to a Sushi restaurant for dinner with my family on Sunday. The restaurant was a conveyor belt sushi bar. All of my family love sushi so it was great time! It was crowded and we waited more than 30 minutes. And finally we could sit on seats. We ate many kinds of sushi. When we ordered a yellowtail that is called Hamachi in Japanese, the cook put in bonus a cute little one for us like a picture! It was very cute and we became happy.
I felt that spending time with family is good and makes me smile.

Mermaid.

Setting: Somewhere which has a beautiful sea in Japan. In the 1960s.

Characters: A mermaid, a boy, his parents and the police.

Conflict: The boy vs the society.

Climax: At the end he sees the mermaid again and then goes into the sea with her.

Irony:  The boy was the only person who could see the mermaid and nobody trusted him.

Symbols: The sea represents peace and hope.
The mermaid represents the boy`s freedom of thinking.

Theme:  To make an opportunity for us to know and think about the terrible situation that was
given to people in those days. Also telling how horrible it is to not to be able to think or
say out opinion freely. Maybe he wants to say that losing the power of imagination from
              people isn`t  good.

Today's dinner

Today, I went to a monjya shop which my friend works with other friends. The shop is famous, and celebrities often go there. She made us monjya and okonomi-yaki. It was very yummy! Finally, the shop serviced for us; it gave us special deserts, and one monjya was for free. We had a very good time, and would like to go there again!

Tokyo international film festival

In today's modern society class, the teacher introduced us the Tokyo international film festival. It is said that this film festival is the biggest one in Japan, and many famous actors and directors will appear on the red carpet in this festival.

This festival will be held from October 22 to October 31, and university student can watch movie at only 500 yen. In this year, the theaters for this festival are mainly in Shinjuku and Roppongi. So it is very convenient for us!

I think this festival is a good opportunity to watch various kinds of movies. I believe movie will make us life benefit. So if you are interested in, you should check it out.

Fireworks

I went to Yoshimi town in Saitama Prefecture on Saturday, where Maya live.
I visited there to see fireworks.
We can see very big ones which cannnot be launched in urban areas.
I was impressed because a surprising marriage propose was took place :-)
We ate a lot, and we were able to have a great time!
However, it was hard for me to go home because it took me about three hours...;-(

Mermaid
