Mermaid.

Setting: Somewhere which has a beautiful sea in Japan. In the 1960s.

Characters: A mermaid, a boy, his parents and the police.

Conflict: The boy vs the society.

Climax: At the end he sees the mermaid again and then goes into the sea with her.

Irony:  The boy was the only person who could see the mermaid and nobody trusted him.

Symbols: The sea represents peace and hope.
The mermaid represents the boy`s freedom of thinking.

Theme:  To make an opportunity for us to know and think about the terrible situation that was
given to people in those days. Also telling how horrible it is to not to be able to think or
say out opinion freely. Maybe he wants to say that losing the power of imagination from
              people isn`t  good.
