Mermaid

Setting: A country near the sea

Character: A boy, a mermaid, and boy's parents and the police

Conflict: A boy vs adults (his parents and the police)

Climax: The boy see the mermaid again and they go into the sea.

Symbol: The mermaid is a symbol of freedom. On the other hand, the adults repersent stereotype. They think the mermaid is just a fish.
Irony: Although the boy can see the mermaid, others can't.

Theme: We should respect the freedom of imagintion.  No one can take it away.
