Last night, I checked instagram posts of my favorite brands. Summer clothes started to be available recently and that is so exciting although I cannot buy them. I hope to get one dress before summer break at least!!!

Skating Competition
Yesterday my club seniors participated in a competition for Kanto's university students.
It was my first time to see their whole programs with beautiful costumes so I was really excited.
I loved their skating and some of them were awarded!
Also, it was really nice that I got chances to talk with the seniors a lot. They are really nice and I think I'm starting to love the club!
Although we had to stay and sometimes work in a freezing place all day, I enjoyed the competition very much.

Movie night
So after watching Stranger Things at Netflix, I needed to Watch the Goonies.
After researching about the movie, the man who was dating the mother from
Stranger Things was not only in the Goonies, but also he was Sam in the Lord of the rings!!! Interesting isn't it?

Our princess
Our princess turned 102 last week, so I
paid a quick visit to her home to celebrate her birthday. She is my biological
great-grandma and she lives with my grandma and her husband. Though she has
come to spend most of her time on her bed, I got to talk to her this time too.
What I got told from her in kansai dialect was not to rush. Even my grandma’s
husband heard her saying “I’m sorry.” in English a few days ago, which I was
really surprised. I don’t have enough time to see her often, but I’ll try to go

Allergies!!!
It's this time of year, when my allergy starts to come...
Many of you might have allergies such as cedar pollen or hinoki pollen, but I have gramineae allergies. I can't stand my runny nose, itchy eyes, and sore throat!!! I take medicine for the allergy but I can't eat for two hours after I take the medicine so I can't eat breakfast everyday.
I love eating breakfast, and I alway eat a lot at breakfast so it is very stressing for me..
I hope the allergy season goes away soon...

Summary
Through out the video, Childish Gambino sings with African American kids dancing joyfully while African Americans get attacked or brutally murdered in the back ground. Childish Gambino himself shoots the same race of is own suddenly and starts with the word "This is America".

Evaluation
When we hear America, we think of a free country. We focus on Childish Gambino and the kids dancing around him throughout the video, but do not take close attention to the background where black people are getting attacked. I think the first scene when the guy wearing a paper bag gets shot stands for black people getting attacked not identified as individuals but just being black. The scene moves and Childish Gambino sings as he moves forwards and the guy who was shot is being dragged away out of the area. It may stand for black peoples lives not getting honored and are considered "disposable". In the lyrics he says "Guns in my area, I got the strap. I gotta carry 'em.". It is a fact that black people do the most crime in America, but he wanted to tell that it is necessary to have a gun to defend their selfs.
In the middle of the song when a chorus sings happily Gambino shoots them in a flash. Even people with faith and purity are being shot just for being black. The kids around him continue dancing happily throughout the hole video without seeing what is around them. They are school kids with hope for the future but are unable to see the brutal world around them, one seeing the world through social media. I think that's why they are dancing moves from viral dance moves known to be "Black dances"
The song stopes and Gambino starts smoking what appears to be Marijuana with a sad and tired face. He is representing the loop of America. He sees the world around him for his race and is tired of his life, looking for comfort and running to drugs. Once again, African Americans do a lot of crime statistically, but this may come from the loop America has created. They chose a white horse to chase black people because horses have zero site behind them, white people who can only look at facts faced infant of them but can not see the truth behind it.

We only see things that are focused, we don't know the real world because we are blinded by happiness and entertainment. Many people go to America to live their free life and to be themselves considered America is a free country. In reality black people are shot for no reason, defenseless, if you have strong faith. Time off from club!!!
Last Sunday, May 13, I went to a rugby game with Mayu. We went to see the Aoyamagakuin vs Senshu University game. I have friends in Senshu University, and I was glad to see them play.
It started to rain hard before the first game ended but I stayed for the second game. I sat next to he parents of the rugby team, and had a great time talking with them. After the game, I got to talk to some of the senior rugby players. They were really nice, and I hope to go to their rugby games again! Though we lost both games, it was a fun time.
On my way home, I bought cake and waffles for mothers day since I have allergies to flowers. I went home soaked. ;) what a day!

1. A guy on a horse - this is a symbol from the Bible. This comes from the revelation, “ And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And it’s rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him.And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.” Which basically means that the horse and the rider is a symbol of death and hell. They run around in the warehouse chasing black people, which represents the brutality towards black people.
2. Shooting the Choir - this is a symbol of the 2015 Charleston shooting. Charleston shooting was an incident that killed nine innocent African American in the church. This was an incident that contained the problem both racism and gun violence which is the theme of this video.
3. Shooting the guy with a mask playing guitar- The guy who gets shot is a symbol of peaceful innocent person. He then gets shot by Gambino, who is mimicking the Jim Crow poster, which was a old racist poster of the law that segregated black people in America.
4. Students dancing behind Gambino- this is a symbol of the school shootings that occurred in America a couple of month ago. The Florida school shooting killed 17 students who were innocent by a mentally unstable student from the school in the past. The kids do not realize the gun violence is actually something that can happen at any time. When Gambino makes a shooting pose, the kids run away, but it was at that moment that everyone knew they were in danger. They kept danceing and were entertained without knowing the possibilities of violence.
5. Cars in the warehouse- the cars were old and used, which implies that the cars were thrown away. In movies, the dumpster where cars and other garbage is thrown away, sometimes have a scene where people punch each other or shoot each other. It is never thought as a clean place that someone would go there for fun. This symbolizes the violence happening in America and that it’s been going on for a long time.
6. Kids recording above him- this shows the technology we have to capture the brutal incidents happening in America, especially shootings and racism in this video. What we couldn’t prove, such as killing innocent black guys, can now be shown to the whole world through media.

I didn't know that it was going to be a heavy rain yesterday... When I went out at evening to convenience store, I was surprised by the heavy rain so I had to give up on going.

I have many plans to go out but I don’t have enough money!!! I am looking for a new part time job since I quit the Disney store job, but nothing looks entertaining. Also my parents are quite strict about coming home late, and they want me home around 10, which means I can only work on Wednesdays and on weekends. Honestly, I want to Netflix and chill on weekends, so I’m just procrastinating...

last driving school:)
I passed my car driving test yesterday!!!!!!YAAAAAAAAY
I still have writing test to go. But it was my last time going to the driving school.

I thought I improved my time management skill through my year in American college. I had school, assignments, rehearsals and over that I was doing adult stuff like prepping meals, laundry, cleaning and so on. HOWEVER I'm beginning to have a little panic attack thinking about all the assignments I have right now. I hope I'm just over thinking which I do all the time...

I miss my mom
Today is mother's day, but I feel really bad for not being able to be with my mother. I miss her very much, so I decided going back to Shizuoka on 25th of this month!! I'm going to make myself very busy these two weeks so that time will run fast and I can go home as soon as possible.

Right now I'm playing "Symphony" which was the exhibition number of Rika Kihira, the Japanese junior champion.

Yesterday, I went to Shinokubo with my friend from high school. I had eaten cheese tak kalbi only once since the one I ate did not contain much chicken but potatoes and rice cakes. However, the one I tried yesterday was very nice. I really liked it. Yay!

There are many polarizing issues going on in America at this moment about racism, police brutality/violence, massacres, and gun control. However, social media is becoming a safety shield that is making us look away from these issues. Childish Gambino is addressing that “America” isn't what it seems like when you get to look inside the box, it is actually full of issues that people have the tendency to look away from. The song is focusing on America but it is not only America that can relate with such terrorizing issues that are kept away from the social world. We need to open our eyes.

Call Me by Your Name
I went to see a movie at a small theater in Shibuya. I have been waiting for months to see "Call Me by Your Name" and I finally did. So many people were saying good things about it so I had really high expectation, but it did not let me down. Such a beautiful movie!! Watching movie by myself is so refreshing and relaxing I love it:)
