Theme and Opinion
I felt this film is about many problems and darkness in the United States, especially the movement toward the regulation of guns. As watching Gambino and the children starting to dance right after he shoots a man, I thought he wanted to tell us how quickly we move on to a different topic and forget about the serious incidents. Also, he may have put the message of racial discrimination as well, since the dancers and the people who got shot were mostly people with black skin. I guess he expresses that all citizens of America are not aware of the social problems, and tend to live without trying to solve the problems of guns and racial problems. In the end, Gambino was running away from something with fear, and I thought that maybe he is running away from the social power that silences the citizen who have some strong opinion.
