My cat Hamie

Today I am going to write about my cat Hamie.
He was a stray cat but he was so friendly we took him home.

Now he is one of our families, and he soothes me when I come home tired.
He loves to sleep and he sleeps most of the day.
I envy him when I go to school early, wish I could sleep until noon like him.
Hamie likes to play with ribbon, so if I try to tie my hair he comes over and expect me to play with him. I feel bad when I have to rush out to school.
Before college I had plenty of time to play with him but since I’m busy with my job, homework and all other stuffs, I don’t have much time to play with him.
It will be great if I could take out him all the time, like a cell phone.
When I feel lonely I see his pictures in my iPod. He is my idol!

Mermaid

Characters
The characters in this film are a boy with great imagination, a fish/mermaid, the government, and the boys parents.

Setting
It was a time where having your own thoughts, own opinion, or your own imaginary thoughts were not allowed. Everything was controlled by the government and if you did not obey them, they would torture you no matter what.

What do they want?/What is the problem?
The boy wanted people to believe that he was seeing a mermaid when all the others were saying that they only see a fish swimming, not a mermaid. As the boy is claiming that he is seeing a mermaid, people around him thought that he was crazy. In order to make him 'normal', the government forced him to forget the mermaid in his mind by torturing him in two ways. The government did not allow the boy to think freely. They wanted the boy to believe in what they said.

What is real and what is fantasy?
The real thing in this film is that having your opinion and expressing it was prohibited. Therefore the boys imagination of seeing a mermaid in the tank was a fantasy. So, the government controlling the boy was real. I guess the boys mind was being brainwashed not to believe in his fantasy.

The end of the story
I think the boy died in order to be free in heaven.

What the creator wanted to talk about?
I think the creator wanted to tell the audience that judging others imagination and thoughts should not be restricted.

comment to Takeshi

I really agree with you. I just don't understand why high school students have more break than us. Some of my friends who goes to another university have longer break than us. But what about us? We only have four days. Again, four days! We need more time to rest and relax.

Mermaid

Characters
The characters in this short film are a teenage boy, a fish (mermaid), the boy's parents, and the government.

Setting
The setting of this film is a place where daydreaming is absolutely prohibited.

What the characters want
The main character, which is the boy, wants the freedom to imagine and daydream. The conflict is that people living in that distant country is completely prohibited from daydreaming.

What is real and what is fantasy in this story
In this setting, what you see is the exact reality, and imagination is the fantasy world.

What would happen after the film
At the end, the boy and the mermaid went off to the deep ocean. Therefore, to me, I think the boy decided to go to a place where daydreaming is allowed with the mermaid.

Theme/message
I think the creator wants to say that life wouldn't be that exciting and enjoyable without imagination, and that people should have the freedom to create different perspectives of looking at something.

Mermaid

A boy saved a fish, and then the fish became a mermaid. He loved her so much and decides to take her home. Although when he showed the mermaid to his parents, his parents only saw a fish -the mermaid was a figure from the boy's imagination.
The adults brainwashes the boy not to imagine. Still, the boy couldn't forget about the mermaid totally.
At the end, with everybody in the town looking, the boy goes into the ocean with the fish. Then far out in the ocean, people see two figures that looks like mermaids.
Well, I think there are two ways to see this last scene. One is to think that the boy became a mermaid (maybe merman to be exact) and swam off with the mermaid to where he is free and can think anything he wants. Happily ever after. Another way is that to think he died, just because he couldn't forget about his imaginary friend, since there are no such things as mermaids he can't live in the water.
Any way it makes us think about free thoughts. This clip is against suppressing thoughts and I'm with it too.
Answering Kaho's question, I believe if imagining is banned, I can only have a short life. You can't have progress if you can't dream. In such a world I don't think I can even think to go against it and will be bored to death.

Mermaid

we watched the video called Ningyo (which means "mermaid" in Japanese) in the last class.

One day, the little boy was at the shore, then found the tiny dying fish. He picked it up and released it. Just then, that fish transformed itself into the beautiful mermaid. He brought her to his home to show to his parents. However, what his patents saw in the big water tank was just a tiny fish. Since the boy kept saying that it is a mermaid, people did evil experiments to let him stop imagining. (In his country, imagining was prohibited by it's law.)
After long period, he gradually forgot about what he imagined, then he was brought to the shore to release "the tiny fish". What he saw, however, was that mermaid, not the fish!

I hope he will be able to come to the shore sometimes to see her.
Imagination is the fruit of people all the time, and I suppose that is what Osamu Tezuka wanted to tell us.

Mermaid

Last week, we watched a movie called "Mermaid". This movie starts with a scene which a boy rescue a fish. He began to see a fish as a mermaid. He enjoyed their time together by swimming, playing music and chasing. After playing, he proposed mermaid to live on the land with him. He carried her and showed their parents a mermaid, but parents see her just a fish. At that country, lberal fantasy was not allowed. So he had strict investigation and brainwashing, but he couldn't forget her. By those ways, he gradually began to lose her sight. He ran to his home and saw her, but he never see a fish as a mermaid. At the end he went into the ocean with a fish, and he and a fish became a mermaid and disappeared in the distance.
I think a boy realized that there has no meaning to live on, if he can't fall in love with her. So he decided to go far away from a land and a new place where he and a mermaid can live peacefully. I consider that the ocean indicates the world that you can imagine liberally and creatively. You will never be blamed or scolded. Contrary, the land indicates the world which is filled with stereotype. You can't imagine freely or have a creative thinking. From those consideration, I think the ocean shows children's world and the land shows adults world. At the end of the story, a boy chose the ocean. So I hope they lived their rest of their life peacefully ever after.

Mermaid

The video Mermaid was about a boy who found a fish that he see as a mermaid in his imaginary world. He took the fish home and showed it to his parents but they couldn't see the mermaid, the only thing they could see was a fish in the tank. At the country the boy was living, no imagination was allowed. Therefore he was arrested and was put into some laboratory to wash of his ability of imagining things. He noticed that something was happening to his brain so he escaped from where he was trapped and went back to his house. He returned to his house and saw the water tank. The fish was there but he wasn't able to see the mermaid. The boy lost his imagination ability. He was shocked so he went to the ocean to return the fish, hoping that it will change to mermaid again. However nothing occurred and in the end the boy went inside the ocean with the mermaid. It seemed like he became also a mermaid and was swimming with the mermaid in the ocean where it is filled with freedom.
I think that he found out that he has lost the ability to imagine so he thought that it was no meaning to live at the world he lived anymore. That is why, he went inside the water to go to another world where it is free. I hope that he was able to go to some world where it is free to think anything that we want to.
Tezuka Osamu wanted to tell us the importance of imagination and how we are lucky that we live in a world that is free to do anything and free to think anything.

Dear Chinatsu

I think walking is good for your health.
When I was living in Fukuoka, I enjoyed walking with Spotty. It's really nice to walk in sunny days.
It's warm and you would feel refreshed.
Actually, I haven't been walking since I came to Tokyo because I'm worried of getting lost.

Comment to Yuri Takada

You went to BBQ? It sounds that you had great fun. I'm going to a barbecue on Saturday so I'm thinking about my clothes. What should I wear?
If there is somebody who has any idea,  please tell me!

Best Group Ever

Are there any English speaking society members here ???
Seems like everyone has written about the video we watched last week. I just want to add to it. The main characters were the boy and the government. It was set in a country where day dreaming was not allowed. It's seems that the boy had no friends and was lonely, so he imagined the fish to be his girlfriend. To the boy, they were the perfect couple and he even introduces his imaginary girlfriend to his family.  The government doesn't allow the boy to imagine the mermaid as his friend/girlfriend. The government tries to condition the boy with shock therapy to stop the day dreaming. In the end the boy had enough and when out to sea with the imaginary mermaid. In the real world, what probably happened next was he committed suicide in the water because of all the criticism from the people. However, the boy could have wished very hard and also turned into a merman and swam away with the mermaid and live happily ever after. Lesson? I would say let kids dream because that's how kids can learn to have hope. Also, even thought people put you down, believe in yourself and your dreams will be a reality.

yesterday

I went to bbq.
It was held by club I belong to,so I had many chances to talk to members.
I made some new friends.
It was so fun! I'd like to do it again.

My wish

Do you have a wish?

Well, I do. I wish for a long break and a robot who would do all of my chores.

It's been a month since school started and I'm starting to get used to the new environment. Although I am getting used to the new environment, I can never get used to the work I have to deal with everyday. There are so many things I have to do that I feel like I need a break. Everywhere I go some kind of work is following me. I wish I had a robot who could do all of those for me and let me rest for a bit.

Mermaid

It's a story about an imaginative boy who finds a small fish and imagine it as a mermaid. Though, he lives in a country where imagination is prohibited, so the government of the country tortures him to forget about the mermaid. It resulted in him being impossible to remember what it looked like and he struggles, but when he went to the sea again to release the fish, he saw the beautiful mermaid.
I think that the boy will keep visiting the sea by his own to see the mermaid without being found by others.
In this story, I think Tezuka wanted to tell us that no one could actually stop people from imagining things.

Mermaid

One day, there was a boy at the beach.
Suddenly he finds a mermaid in the water. He takes the mermaid to his house to show his parents but they couldn't see her because it was just the boys imagination.
In the country were the boy lived, no one was allowed to imagine as they pleased.
So the government tried many ways to stop the boy from imagining.  Although the boy was tough, finally he wasn't able to see the mermaid anymore.
With a sad feeling, the boy went to the beach once more and saw the mermaid again.
The boy jumped in to the water, became a mermaid himself and went to a place together where no one could interfere them.
I think Osamu was trying to criticise governments that didn't allow people to make decisions on their own.

Comment to Sakie Hamasaki's post and questions

I didn't think about the actual historical background behind this piece. When asked about the theme of this movie, I only thought about what the movie was trying to tell us. I didn't consider about what had been going on at the time this movie was made. It made me think more about the relationship between the boy and the people who were living in Japan at that time.

Also, I have a question to fellow bloggers:

How would you feel if you were living in a country that did not allow imagination? Also, what would you do if you were in the boy's situation?

For me, I would hate it. I love imagining things. I love reading fictional stories, especially Harry Potter. So if the world decided to ban imagination and destroy fantasy stories, I would try to get out of this place. Also, if I was the boy, I might have done the same thing. I can't imagine trying to live in a world without imagination!

Mermaid

One day a boy saw a mermaid (actually it was just a fish) in the ocean. Soon after the boy met a mermaid, the boy fell in love with the mermaid. Though the boy takes the mermaid to his house to show it to his parents, they can see nothing but a fish because the boy just imagines. The goverment of his country doesn't allow him to imagine and makes him forget the mermaid by using a lot of methods. Then the boy gradually forgets the mermaid. At the end, the boy can meet a mermaid again when he visits the ocean. I think the boy will keep imaging. He will imagine having fun times with the mermaid and live happily.

BBQ

Yesterday, I went to BBQ which was held by a dance club which I joined. It was my first time doing BBQ in Japan. I was so surprised seeing many people BBQing at Futakoshinchi. Though it was hot, the weather was perfect for BBQ. I got an opportunity to talk to new club members whom I didn't know. I had such a great time there.

Mermaid

Characters
A boy and a mermaid. The boy likes to dream.
Summary
One day a boy who likes to dream, meats a fish. The fish turned into a mermaid, and they go into the sea and swim. They have fun playing instruments. The boy didn't want to break up with the mermaid, so he carries her home. After he put the mermaid in the fish tank, he told his family about her and showed. But his family only saw a small fish in the tank. Then the government tried to prohibit his imagination and tortured him.
Setting
This film was published in 1964. Maybe Osamu Tezuka felt control from the government in daily life.
What they want
The boy wants to imagine and be with the mermaid again. The government tries to get rid off unusual thinking and tries to control people. The government imprisons the boy.
End
The boy almost forgets the mermaid but when he went to the sea, he remembered her.
Next
The boy will go to a free place that allows him to imagine. He will live happily with the mermaid forever.
Theme
Keep imagining, and don't restrict others thinking.

Mermaid

The main character is a boy, a fish and an imaginary mermaid.

One day, a boy finds a fish in the ocean. He imagines the fish as a mermaid and dreams to have a good time swimming with her. After that, he takes her to his home. However he tries showing her to his parents, they only can see the fish.

In this world, free imagination is prohibited strictly by the government. He is imprisoned and tortured so that he would forget her. After going back his home, what he saw in the water tank was just the fish.

Giving up to see her again, he releases the fish to the ocean. At that moment, the mermaid appears. In the end, he becomes a mermaid and disappears in the ocean swimming with her.

The world in this story is exactly like what was in the WW, when it was made. I think the ending is a symbol of the ideal world which Osamu Tezuka desired. Through this story, I think that he protested against the government and tried reminding people of their rights to express freely.

I suppose that people who could not see the mermaid will keep on ignoring their wants. The boy will become like them, never to remember of her. Maybe, everything about this story is what happened in the real world in these days.

Mermaid

Characters
A dreaming boy, a mermaid and the police

Settings
It is a community or a country which is controlled by the police. Therefore, there is no freedom.

What they want
The boy wants to imagine. But the police forbids  him from dreaming.

The fantasy and the reality
I think the boy is in the world of fantasy. But he thinks it is real.

The end
As the boy was tortured and brainwashed, he forgets about the mermaid. However, when he went to the sea, he remembers about the mermaid. So, he was able to see the mermaid again.

What happens next?
I think the boy and the mermaid will live happily in the boy's imagination. However, the day will come when the boy would need to understand the boundary between the fantasy and the reality.

Theme
I think what Tezuka wanted to appeal in this film was that every person has a freedom to do or imagine.

Mermaid

Mermaid is a short film created by Osamu tezuka. It had many symbolic features and irony to the time when this film was made, it was very fascinating.
The story is about a boy who loves imagination fell in love with a mermaid.
The boy takes the mermaid to his home and tell his parents about her, but his parents can  not see the mermaid. In fact, no one else can.
The boy was aken away to prison because the countries law did not allow imagination.
After a long hard time of solitary, the boy escapes from prison and finally returns to where his mermaid is waiting.
But he could not see the mermaid no more, in the fish tank there was a fish looking in his eye.
Story doesn't end here, the boy releases the fish back to the ocean, then the fish turns into a mermaid.
Leaded by the mermaid the boy steps one and another step into the ocean.
The story ends by a scene of two mermaid swimming away watched by people who know the boy.
This ending leaves a mistery. there can be a few patterns of ending.
1. The boy turned into a mermaid.
2. the boy was a mermaid from the begining and thought he was a boy until the final scene.
3. The ending is also a boy's imagination.
Which ending it is going to be I'm sure he is living happy with his mermaid and I hope the witness of the final scene get some effect on their heart.

Comment to Sakie

I think it's just stress... We've been really busy getting used to school and classes and those things makes you get stress. The most important thing that you could do over the weekend is get some sleep:)

Comment to Takeshi

I totally agree with you. We should have more breaks, right? I need also need a break as well!! I've been moving around so much that I forget to do a lot of things. I guess at those times you just need to take a deep breath and relax for a moment.

Exercise?

I fully understand the first 2 reasons for Sakie's problem with her ears. The 3rd one, maybe?

Well anyway, even though I'm relatively in good health, I easily get tired and rarely have a clear head recently. For me, I think it's because that I haven't got enough sleep, but today I had enough. The result? Actually, nothing changed. Like she mentioned, maybe I should also try some kind of sports and get exercise. I take the teacher-training course which we all have to take a sports class, though my fitness class is in the second semester, plus the circle I'm going join is not a sports circle so I really need to find something to do. How do you all deal with the lack of exercise? Is it only a problem of mine?

Give me a break!!

Aaaaahhh!!! My ear rang more than three times since this morning, or what you call it a tinnitus?
It just keeps on bothering my precious weekend! Well, what's wrong with my ears?
According to what I've searched, the reason why this happens is because of stress, stiff shoulders, or there's someone behind you...
For the first one, I haven't slept much since the school began. I think this causes stress, which applies to the first conceivable reason.
Next, I don't have a stiff shoulders, but I've got a pain in my muscle since yesterday. That is because yesterday, I went to a dance circle with a friend of mine to see what it's like. Although I found it it was hard to dance as I don't have any experience dancing, it was really cool and had fun yesterday. However, I didn't get much exercise since the time when I began studying for my college entrance exam and quit sports activities. It was not until I awoke this morning to find myself aching all over my body. I wonder this could be a possible reason why I got my tinnitus in my ear.
For the last one that is stated on the internet, do you think that really happens? It freaked me out by the way it was written... I mean, "there's someone behind" me? Who's behind me...?
I'll end up this by saying that the reason why I've got a tinnitus is either I was lack of sleeping or because I have a muscle pain today. I hope it is not the last reason that it was mentioned on the web...

By the way, I disagree that high school students are having longer golden week than us. When I was in a high school, I had less homework and had more free time. Moreover, I could hardly think of myself not getting enough sleep. For these reasons, I totally agree with you! I think it should be just the opposite...

(comment to Takeshi)

Mermaid

Character
A boy, mermaid( actually a fish), the government

Setting
This story reflects the mood of the 1960s. In those days, people's right to think and speak freely were deprived by the government.

What do the characters want and the conflict
The boy just wants to daydream, but the government won't allow it.

Ending
The boy escapes from the government and takes the fish to the sea. He was so depressed because he couldn't see the fish as a mermaid anymore. However, as he was staring at the fish, his imagination came back and at last, he turned to the mermaid as well, and the two mermaids jumped into the sea.

What happens next?
I think the last scene is symbolic, and that it implies the boy could somehow escape from the governments' oppression. He might start acting to free people from the government's suppression.

Theme
I thonk that probably Tezuka Osamu wanted to criticize the government or maybe the whole mood of the period.

Mermaid

There are three kinds of character in this film: a boy, a mermaid, and the police(probably controlled by government) This film takes place in some country where people are controlled and banned from imagining during the war. There was a boy who fell in love with a mermaid, which is actually a fish. He wants to live and be with her. However, the government of the country did not allow people to imagine such a fantasy, and they arrested and imprisoned him. The boy was tortured in many ways in order to make him unable to imagine. He endured the tortures but finally he became unable to imagine and when he came back home all he could see was a fish, not a mermaid. However, in the end, I think a boy became a mermaid himself and went to the fantasy world together with a mermaid.
I think Osamu Tezuka wanted to tell us how important it is to imagine, and that if we keep on believing, somehow it will come true.

sleepover

Hello! About a month has passed since we entered this university. It has been so fast!
I always get tired because I always have fifth period except for Wednesday.

Yesterday was my best friend's birthday, so my friends and I went to her house and did a sleepover-party! She is one of my best friends in my high school,  and I have not seen her for about a month so I cannot help screaming when I saw her.

We brought pizza, cake, and a lot of snacks to her house but we finished them all in about two hours.
Two of the friends went back home as it got dark, but I asked her if I could sleepover and we kept on talking until around 5 o'clock in the morning.

I left her house in the morning since she had another thing to do today, but I really had a good time. She goes to the university in Shinjuku, so I hope I can see her on my way home!

Mermaid

Summary

The boy imagined the mermaid in the sea, like he saw it in real.
He tells this experience to his parent but they thought he was getting crazy, his parent calls government and torture him.

Settings

The story was so fantastic so it's difficult to define, but I think the story takes place in a country that the government prohibits freedom.

Characters

Boy
He imagines the mermaid and loves it.

Government
They prohibit the imagination of the boy and torture him to make him forget the mermaid.

What do they want?

The boy dreams about the mermaid, but the government restrict his imagination.

What's the problem?

The boy dreams about the mermaid, but the government thought the imagination was a fear, they torture him badly.

What is real and what is fantasy?

I think mermaid is boy's fantasy, and he sees his imagination as real.

Ending

After the torture the government have done, the boy forgets the mermaid.
The boy gets so terrified by this, he goes to the ocean with the fish and he was able to see the mermaid again.

Future

I think the boy will live happily with the mermaid in his imagination.
He escapes to the country where he is able to imagine freely.

Theme

I think Osamu Tezuka wanted to say that people's right if imagination shouldn't be restricted by anyone. Imagination will make people's life affluent and interesting. Anybody can't stop people's imagination. I think this theme relates to our world right now. For example China restricts people's opinion in media and North Korea restricts people's free opinion completely. This is violation of human rights as in the animation.

What do you think??

ok so recently I found out that high schoolers have longer golden week than us college students.. isn't this suppose to be the opposite?? do you agree? what is your opinion about this? To be honest, I just need a break^^;

mermaid

Character- A boy who falls in love with a mermaid(actually she is just a fish, she's in his imagination)

Setting- According to the date of this film, this is the story during World War II .

What the character want- The boy wants to dream, imagine the mermaid.
On the other hand,  the government don't want people to be imagine.

Conflict-The government imprison him for being imagine and forbid to imagine again.
But the boy still want to imagine the mermaid.
In the end, he can't remember what she looks like.

Ending- He come back to his home, but he can see nothing but a small fish.
There is no longer the mermaid, and he goes into the sea with the fish.

What happens next- I think his going into the sea is in his dream,so later he will wake up and realize there isn't mermaid and get depressed.
And this tells us how important and precious the imagination is.

Theme- We can't live without imagination ability. That makes our life much more vivid.

Ningyo

Characters:
The main character is a boy who loves to daydream and a fish, later becomes a mermaid in his imagination

Setting:
The film was published in 1964 by Osamu Tezuka. I think the time setting of the story reflects the background of 1960's.
The story begins with a boy sitting at a beach. The boy and mermaid swim in the ocean. He lives in a country that imagination is prohibited.

What they want:
The boy wants to keep the imagination.
The society want people not to imagine anything, wants everyone to be the same.

Conflict:
The boy is imprisoned for his imagination and tortured every time he remembers the mermaid. Finally, he can't remember how she looked.

Ending:
He escapes and returns to his house. He gets depressed because only he can see is a small fish. His ability of imagination has gone. He takes the fish with him and disappear in the sea.

Next:
As I saw two mermaids jumping out from the sea at the last, I think they went to another country where imagination is allowed.

Theme:
1. Freedom of imagination
Since the film is published in 1964, Osamu Tezuka wanted to appeal the lack of freedom at that time. After the WWII, there was a big campaign called 安保闘争(Anpo Tousou 1960) in Japan and it was against the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty. It was caused because people didn't want to be in the control of America.
2. Discovery of new countries/culture
In 1960s, few people went to foreign countries. Japanese didn't know the other countries, like the boy who is not allowed to imagine. I think Osamu Tezuka wanted to tell people that there are many places where you can express yourself freely.

ningyo-mermaid

Characters-a boy and a fish/mermaid of his imagination

Setting-a country that does not allow imagination

What the characters want-the boy wants to believe in a mermaid, and the government wants to restrict his imagination

Conflicts-the boy wants imagine a mermaid, but the country does not allow it.

Ending-the government uses all kinds of methods to delete the boy's imagination of the mermaid. As a result, the boy can no longer see the mermaid. Horrified, he goes to the ocean with the fish, and is able to see the mermaid again. He wanders into the ocean and becomes a mermaid as well.

What happens next-I think the boy will live happily ever after with the mermaid. The other people will just think that the boy wandered into the sea and died, but I think the boy will live happily ever after in his imagination.

Theme-imagination makes life more wonderful

Just saw "Real Steal" which is a movie from 2011 starring Hugh Jackman.
To be honest, when I saw the trailer of this movie I immediately thought that it would not be an interesting movie. However, it turned out to be a great movie!!
This movie has good graphics and definitely a good theme for children. Therefore, if you have not seen this movie I totally recommend it!! check it out!!

Mermaid

The basic summary is a boy with a big imagination that could see a mermaid wants to show it to his parents. His parents do not see the mermaid and thinks he's insane and send him to a mental institution. He goes through several experiments and gradually starts forgetting about the mermaid. Not wanting to forget he went back to the first place he met the mermaid and he saw the mermaid as well as everyone else who were on the beach.

There is a boy and a mermaid, the boy's parents and the police.
The setting was a long long time ago in a far far place.
The boy wants the people to understand that he can see a mermaid, but the countries law forbids imagination.
The mermaid is in the boys imagination but the boy thinks it's real.
In the end the boy could see his imaginative mermaid which he almost lost sight of and so could everyone else.
The people will probably apologize to the boy for experimenting on him when the problem was the lack of their own imagination and change the law.

The theme is never lose your imagination no matter what everyone else may say or do to you.

The three main characters in this story are the pink octopus, orange octopus and truck driver.  When the octopus couple were in love the pink octopus was taken away by the truck driver. They had many trouble but they finally got together but caught by the bird again.

I think the pink octopus will save the orange octopus.

going to my high school

Well, yesterday my friends from high school and I were chatting about going to our high school. Though I like it here, I miss my friends from high school, and suggested to meet together someday. We thought of going to there with our school uniform, and surprise teachers. I wonder what the reactions of teachers are to see in our school uniform. I think I haven't changed much since I graduated from my high school, so teachers will notice me, or they might take me as a high school student. My friends say that they look quite different from what they were and I am also looking forward to seeing their changes. One thing that I'm worried about is that I could still be able to fit my uniform...
I had a good time with my friends yesterday. We were supposed to finish our homework during the break time, but we talked and sang too much. We also took weird pictures so I'll share one on this page.

The three main characters are the orange octopus, pink octopus, and the truck driver. The two octopus were together in a tank when a man suddenly takes the pink one out. The orange octopus thought that the pink octopus was going to get chopped into pieces, so he runs after the truck driver to try to save the pink octopus. The truck driver tries to get rid of the orange octopus, but the two octopus escaped successfully. But than, the orange octopus gets snatched by a seagull and the pink tries to save him.

I think that the two octopus will be able to return to the sea, but will be caught by the truck driver again who dived into the sea. I think there will be no peaceful future for the two octopus.

The video is about two octopuses, orange male octopus and pink female octopus. They are close friends living in a tank but suddenly a man takes out the pink octopus and brings it with him to the truck. The truck seems to go somewhere so the orange octopus chase after it. The orange octopus manages to catch up with the truck all over. After a while, the two octopuses finally gets back together again, but then this time, a seagull catches the orange octopus and takes him away. So now, the pink octopus decides to chase after the orange octopus. If the story was to continue, I think it’s going to be a happy end. I hope somehow the octopuses will get back together.

license

I can't believe it has already been about three weeks since the school started. I was planning to do a lot of things right after I got graduated from high school. First of all, I wanted to start a job, but I am still looking for one and another thing that I wanted to do was getting my drivers license. I am going to a driving school but I did not think it would be this busy in university. The schedule for the driving school and the schedule for the university does not match so there is no time for me to go to the driving school. I will try my best to get the drivers license as soon as possible.

Octapodi

There were three characters in the film: orange octopus, pink octopus and a man who sells octopus to a restaurant.

The story started by the two octopus which were in love.  When suddenly, the pink octopus was taken away by the man who works for the restaurant. When the man started his van to take it back, the orange octopus starts chasing it.  Then the two octopus and the man starts fighting. The man was bumping into the houses and places around the town, but finally the man fell into the sea and the two octopus got released. Soon later when the two octopus were feeling reliefed, the seagull caught the orange octopus and flew away. It ended by the pink octopus chasing after the orange octopus.

I think the pink octopus was able to get back together with the orange octopus, but  later they will fall into the sea and another tragedy would start agai

~Oktapodi ~

Character
An orange male octopus, a pink female octopus and a skinny fierce man.

Summary

Two loving octopus clung together warmly embracing each other inside a tank when all of a sudden a giant hand reaches out for the pink octopus and vigorously takes them apart. The pink octopus has been bought by a skinny man but the tenacious orange male octopus attempts to save his lover by overcoming various adversities. After having a brutal fight the two octopuses successfully defeats the man together but then the orange male octopus immediately gets hunted by a bird where this time the pink octopus attempts to save her lover.

Ending

What will happen next? Well, in my opinion I think they will defeat the bird together and when they do they will probably be dropped in the blue sea since the bird was flying toward the ocean. However, even if they get their freedom, I feel that they are going to be chased by other predators living in the ocean and every time one gets hunted either one will try to save him/her no matter what.

Last week we saw a short movie that has three main characters. The three main characters are pink girl octopus, orange boy octopus, and a man. In the first scene of the movie, the two octopus are in love but the man takes one of the girl octopus away. The boy octopus was really shocked so he tries to get his girlfriend back. The boy octopus gets out of the tank to rescue the pink octopus. After several fights, the two octopus finally gets back together. The octopus thought they were safe at last, but then a bird came flying and caught the boy octopus. The girl  seemed surprised at first but soon left to save her boyfriend.
What I think will happen after this is that the two octopus will finally get back together and go back to the sea. They will live happily ever after without no one interrupting them.

GD World Tour 2013

I couldnt come up with any good ideas, so I would like to write about what I did the last weekend.
As you can see from the title of my post, I went to the concert of G-Dragon from the Korean pop group BIGBANG!!!

For those of you who do not know G-Dragon, he is the leader of BIGBANG and wirtes pretty much most of the songs. He is a very hard worker and an extremely warm hearted person.
He has great talent, but the most thing that I like about him is that he cares and never forgets to thank his fans.

Well, the concert was held at Seibu Dome, but on both days, it was so cold that it didn't feel anything like April. There was a roof ,but the sides of the dome were completely open, so it was freezing like crazy and we were shivering.

But once the concert started we were all excited and didnt mind how cold it was anymore!!!

He performed his new song and it was absolutely amazing!!! It's called "MichiGO" but if you're interested in it, go ahead and go on youtube to see it!!!

Well, see you guys tomorrow!

The short video we saw last week has 3 main characters, 2 octopus which are pink and orange, and a man. The pink octopus is the female and the orange one is a male octopus.
Right after the film started we can see that the 2 octopus are couples and loving each other in the tank. However, the pink octopus was sold to the young man and was driven away. After feeling shocked that his girlfriend was taken away, the orange octopus swims out of the tank and goes to rescue her. Fortunately, he succeeds in saving his girl friend but again, they get caught. Then they end up escaping but right after they escaped from the man, the man ends diving into the ocean with his truck.
It seems like a happy ending so far, but then, the orange octopus gets caught by a seagull, and the film ends when the pink octopus gets ready to go save her boyfriend.

I think that the pink octopus successfully saves the orange octopus and will finally be able to get together.

Something interesting

I like psychology a lot, and read some books or articles on my own when I have free time. I read this article the other day and it was quite interesting so I'd like to share it on the blog.

When pulling a rope with several people (for example tsunahiki), take a single person's strength to be 100%. But when 2 people pull the rope together it reduces to 93%, and when it becomes 3 people it becomes 85%, and when it increases to 8 people the strength drops down to 49%.

This is because of an unconscious  effect that humans have, and it is the feeling of someone is there to pull, or some one is there to help. That is why as people increase in pulling the rope, their individual strengths reduce drastically.

Oktapodi Reflection

Characters:
Orange Octopus
Pink Octopus
Man

Summary:
The short film starts out by the Orange Octopus and the Pink Octopus making out in the fish tank. Then suddenly the Pink Octopus is grabbed and sold to the Man who takes the Pink Octopus in his car. Feared, the Orange Octopus escapes from the tank in order to save the Pink Octopus. The two octopus and the Man quarrel in the streets, and in the end, both the octopuses escape from the man's chase. The ending of the short film is right after they escape, and feel relieved, a seagull grabs the Orange Octopus and fly away, and the Pink Octopus  goes to save the Orange Octopus.

Reflection:
While watching this short film, it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet, where both the characters experience tragedy. One after another, they face hardships. My imagination of the ending of this story is the Pink Octopus goes to save the Orange Octopus up to Japan, and they both become takoyaki.

Oktapodi

An octopus couple are being romantic in a fish-tank when a man buys the girl octopus and takes her away. Her boyfriend octopus goes after her to save her. After a lot of struggle with the man, the octopuses get away, but then the boy octopus is taken away by a bird.

There are three main characters in the story. The boy octopus, his lover the girl octopus, and a man who works for a restaurant that prepares octopus dishes.

The two octopuses just want to be together, but the man wants an octopus for his restaurant.

The problem is that the girl octopus is taken away from the boy and he needs to save her before she becomes someone's food.

At the end of the video, the two octopuses are able to get away from the man, but this time the boy octopus is taken away by a seagull. It ends with the girl octopus readying to slingshot herself after the bird.

I believe that the girl octopus is able to reach the bird and save her lover. Then they both fall into the ocean and live happily ever after.

Mermaid ~Ningyo~

Characters: a boy and a mermaid

Summary:  A Boy caught a fish, which became a mermaid afterward.  However, his parents and government officers never let the boy see a mermaid.  He was imprisoned by the government officers, and was brainwashed so that he could never imagined what he had seen.  Brainwashing seemed to have been successful, but in the end the boy and the mermaid got together again and went back to the ocean.

What happens next?:  People who saw the boy and the mermaid go back to ocean will realize what the freedom is like and wish for freedom and liberty.

My opinion:  The picture "Mermaid" reminds me of the article about North Korean exiles we read in the class last Tuesday.  Like North Koreans, the boy in the picture was not allowed to have freedom of speech, thoughts and even imagination.  The government controlled the boy.  However, in the last scene of the picture, people could see the boy and the mermaid.  In my opinion, the last scene of the film implies that people always want to have freedom and go wherever they want.  Likewise, I think that there must be plenty of people who wish for freedom and liberty in North Korea.
