Mermaid

Mermaid is a short film created by Osamu tezuka. It had many symbolic features and irony to the time when this film was made, it was very fascinating.
The story is about a boy who loves imagination fell in love with a mermaid.
The boy takes the mermaid to his home and tell his parents about her, but his parents can  not see the mermaid. In fact, no one else can.
The boy was aken away to prison because the countries law did not allow imagination.
After a long hard time of solitary, the boy escapes from prison and finally returns to where his mermaid is waiting.
But he could not see the mermaid no more, in the fish tank there was a fish looking in his eye.
Story doesn't end here, the boy releases the fish back to the ocean, then the fish turns into a mermaid.
Leaded by the mermaid the boy steps one and another step into the ocean.
The story ends by a scene of two mermaid swimming away watched by people who know the boy.
This ending leaves a mistery. there can be a few patterns of ending.
1. The boy turned into a mermaid.
2. the boy was a mermaid from the begining and thought he was a boy until the final scene.
3. The ending is also a boy's imagination.
Which ending it is going to be I'm sure he is living happy with his mermaid and I hope the witness of the final scene get some effect on their heart.
