A lost child

When I entered the automatic door of my apartment building, I saw the little boy standing on tiptoe pressing the door bell while tears ran down his cheek. He followed when I opened the door and entered the elevator. I was worried that he might not be able to get into the house because no one had answered the door bell, so I went check on him just in case and found him standing in front of the elevator trying hard to hold his tears back. He told me that he had been waiting for his mother for an hour, and they are planning to buy some shoes for his sister. He can't remember his parents' phone number and I had to take him to the security room.
