We had a lecture given by two speakers, Vicki Skorji and Najwa Waheed Naohora. The lecture was mainly given by Najwa, but Vicki talked to us about the lifeline of TELL and the outreach programs. Najwa talked to us about what organization she works for, the kinds of bullying, the signs of bullying, who might be more vulnerable to bullying and how can we show empathy or be an active listener for the victim of the bully.
After hearing the lecture, I knew most of the things about what she told about the bullying and cyberbullying, but I now know that we should understand bullying and cyberbullying can happen to anyone. Also, we should teach and educate people young age that bullying and cyberbullying is not something that they should do and because of this, many young people commit suicide and lose their life at a very young age. The lecture was helpful in terms of knowing that there's a help for those who got bullied and if I happen to be in a situation like this, I would definitely love to use TELL as a source to find a solution to the problem of bullying or cyberbullying.
