Conflict:
They boy wanted to tell people that he has a friend who is a mermaid but they criticized him for keep talking about nonsense. People tried to make him say that he hadn't seen a mermaid and seen a normal fish but it didn't work. Then he was confined in a room and experienced Pavlovian conditioning works as a examinee. Finally he was forced to study all the time to make him forget about the mermaid. After that, he run away to go back home to see her again but he couldn't see but a fish.
Setting:
I think the place was a communist country which didn't have free speech rights so the time is 1964 when this video was just made because there were some communist countries at that time (but I'm forgetting world history so not sure.)
Ending:
The boy will go oversea with the mermaid and live in another country which allows free speech.
