I would like to talk about the movie I saw in the last class, Oktapodi, which is also a Greek noun from which it is said that "octopus" as an English noun came.
Setting:
I came across at least two settings, one of which is an aquarium, and the other a town near the sea, probably a Greek one.
Point of View:
The point of view frequently changes. At first, it was fixed on the yellow octopus, which is subjective. Afterwards, it changes from the octopus' subjective point of view to what is way more objective, the third person's point of view.
Conflict:
I am not so sure of this. I think that the conflict in this movie is that the yellow octopus is afraid of his mate, a pink one, being killed after she has been taken away from the aquarium, separated from him.
Climax:
The yellow octopus spat at the man's face, and he fell off the cliff failing to get back two of the octopuses.
Symbols:
I think that a possible symbol is the situation or the destiny in some ways that we are to face one difficulty after another. Even though we overcome a difficulty or a predicament, we are to face and overcome another one that is coming soon. Here in this movie, The two octopuses overcome a difficulty, but they are likely to face another difficulty, judging from the situation in which the yellow octopus is taken away by a sea gull.
Irony:
At first, not the yellow octopus but the pink one was taken away from the aquarium and put in the situation of difficulty, but was fortunately saved by the yellow one, but he in turn resulted in being forced to face difficulty.
Theme:
There shall follow one difficulty after another.
