Binta and The Great Idea

I couldn’t find this video clip with English subtitles on the inter net. I couldn’t find a certain idea of Binta’s father. But the only thing I remember what his thought is that he tried to learn how to develop his society from white people.

This movie also told me that every child should be educated equally. Soda’s mother had never gone to school so she couldn’t count money. She was cheated when she sold fruits. Therefor he could not earn appropriate money. Soda couldn’t go to school since she was so poor. This cycle could have lasted if Soda’s father didn’t decide to let Soda go to school. Schooling can be investment in the children’s future.
