Binta and the Great Idea

Binta, an African girl, is living in poor district. However, Binta can go to school, so she learn many things and enjoying her school life with her friends. Binta's cousin, Soda can't go to school because her father thinks it is unnecessary for girls to go to school, just help housework. In this film, some students are performing a play about certain family that daughter can't go to school. This play made Soda's father to let her go to school.  I think that be able to going to school and be educated is very happy thing for us.

Binta's father's great idea is permitting to adopt a tubab(a white man). All the children have the right to be educated, even tubab. I learned that all the children have the right to be educated no matter what the races they are. I don't have definite image about Africa, but maybe Japan is a good environment and many people are living a comfortable life. I tend to think that compulsory education is very natural for us. However, education is not natural for African children. We should be thankful to Japan's good environment that almost all children can go to school and be educated.
