There were no places for the lost thing to live.

The lost thing and the boy finally finds the world where the lost thing can live with the other things like him.

The lost thing shows something important that we tend to forget when we are busy.
Train shows passing time or maybe routine.
Irony
There were no places for the lost thing in the humans city, but there was a place where he can live happily.
Theme
Don't be too busy, because you will forget or overlook something important in daily life.
