Halloween.

Today I went to Shibuya with friends.
I was astonished to see Shibuya packed with people.
Many people was dressing up for Halloween and the quality was great.
However walking Shibuya totally made me tried because I couldn`t walk straight and smoothly because of the dressed people.

Today is Happy Halloween!
I found these cute breads at my favorite supermarket.

When I was a child, I joined the Halloween party which was held by English school.
It was nice and unforgettable memories.
I heard the news that many Halloween costume players would gather near Shibuya station. I won’t go there, but I hope that everyone spend great Halloween night!

Sleeping too much.

Hello.
This morning I woke up to find myself sleeping more than twelve hours.
I cannot believe I slept that long.
Since I don`t have school today I think I will clean my room and relax.

aogaku festival

From today our school has a school festival. Many circles sell foods and drinks and have live musics. we also invite many famous people such as Hiroshi Abe who is an actor.

Although most of the clubs don't join to this festival. Most of the clubs have practices and don't have time to prepare for it. My swimming club also didn't join to the festival but we only have practice in morning so we can buy and see the festival. I'm so excited to see what my friends are selling.

Part-time job

I began part-time job yesterday.
I am working at the pizza shop near AGU.
I was nervous before I went to the pizza shop because it was my first part-time job.
However the boss was very kind, so I felt relieved.

The job is a kind of routine task, but I have to remember many things such as etiquette, kinds of pizza, and so on. 
I think it is tough work at first, but it will be easy work when I know the every system of my job.

I was thinking that earning money was easy, but it was false. 
Yesterday, I noticed that earning money was very hard work.
I want to thank to my parents, and I want to work hard! 

School festival.

In this weekend, there is a "Aosai" which is the school festival in AGU. I have long been looking for this so much. This is the first time to see this. I heard that there would be like a jam-packed train, is that true? 

Anyway, my circle will open stall too! I will be baking "Hottoku" which is Korean sweets. I really love it, and I am sure you will like it.

The Fan and the Flower

Setting: At the old house, today.

 

Main Character: A fan with light bulbs which is attached to the ceiling and a potted flower.

 

Conflict: The fan and the flower vs. the gap between the two. (Distance, kind, and culture.)

 

Climax: When the fan breaks the ceiling and is blew away far beyond.

 

Symbol:

1. The gap between the two which comes from the different background.

2. The all-out effort which is without the hope of getting something in return.

 

Irony:

1. Everything has to obey the laws of nature eventually. The lady, who is the owner of a house, gets old and becomes forgetful. The fan is broken because it works too hard and is blown away by the strong wind. The flower dies without water.

2. Both the fan and the flower make great efforts to come near, however, they cannot get close to till the end.

 

Theme:

1. Even if we cannot communicate with by using language, or have completely different background, sincere attitude and genuine affection would beyond the words.

2. Even though it is different from what we wish, the true hope would finally have taken shape in a certain form.

On Saturday

On Saturday, I went to Mitaka to see my friend at her school festival. I met up other friend at the station and took a bus to the university. I was happy because it was fine weather and I hadn’t seen them for 4 months.

The university had beautiful lawn. My friend told me she sometimes took a nap on the grass and I thought it’s great. Going to school in Shibuya is pretty good because it’s so convenient but a school located in suburbs is good as well. It’s quiet and comfortable.

The friend is a member of a glee club, so we listened to her singing. They sang without any musical instruments. That must be difficult but the songs were all very nice. We enjoyed it a lot.

After we left school, we went to Kichijoji and had dinner. The friend couldn’t join us because she still had a job for the club. We had pizza and it was so delicious. I hope we all three can go together next time.

Spending time with my sister.

These days my little pleasure is to go to my sister`s room at night and have a conversation.
Since we are both often busy, we don`t have enough time to hang out together.
My sister, Natsumi who is 21, always listen to my story and whenever I have some problem she helps me a lot. I`m glad to have a wonderful sister like her and hope to keep a good relationship with her.

My friend`s failure

I met one of my friends last Saturday and Sunday.
We got to know each other three years ago, and we`ve been good friends since then.
She likes my favorite rock band, so we went to the concert toghther for two days.
We were very tired on Saturday because we were frolicing too much.
On Sunday, my friend planed to get up at 5 because she had to go to her part-time jab before the concert.
However, she woke up at 1 in the afternoon!!! Of course, she could not go working:-(
She reflected on her conduct.

Climax: The flower revived thanks to the fan. Then the flower cannot forget about the fan, so that   flower changed her shape like the fan. Many people were pleased to look at unique shape of the flower.

Symbol: The shape of the fan and the flower are symbols of their feeling. 

Irony: The fan spun so fast that the roof was broken. This was because the fan wanted to water the flower by rain.

Theme: It is easy thing to kill own life for love. Love has the great power which made anything possible.

Last Sunday

I went out to eat yakiniku with my friends who were in the same class at my classic ballet class last Sunday. The last time we met was a year ago. We enjoyed talking a lot so much. We are different grades. But we are best friends:) I look forward to seeing them to the next time!

My Part-time Job

I have been working part-time at a convenience store for more than 2 years. It is Family-Mart, and in the station near my house. The store places next to the ticket gates, so many people come in each time the departure of the train. I guess people want to enter when they find a convenience store. Me either. Family-Mart concentrates on sweets and snacks. There are various kinds of confectionery and constantly change. So it is a bother a little that it always make me hungry.   

The work at the convenience store is sometimes hard but I have learned a lot from it. I would like to continue till I graduate from AGU.

Friend in Aoyamagakuin

I have a lot of good friends in Tokyo. I even think that I have better friends than those in my hometown. I have good friends in my ski circle and also in IE class. One of my friends is my best friend and she always give me advice when I have trouble. We sometimes talk on the phone. We share a lot of things and I really think that I have a good friend. However, we are both busy these days because of the Aoyama festival. But we promised to play with each other after the festival. I am so excited.

My sisters

I have two sisters, one big sister and one little sister. My big sister is an university student in Nara. My little sister is still a high school student. We often fight each other since we were children. However we are good sisters as well. I often ask them for advice. Although we are all living apart, we often talk using LINE.

Information skill

Today, I finished the information skill!!
I felt very great sense of accomplishment when I got the certificate.
The information skill was difficult and troublesome, but it will help me in the future job for sure. At first, to be honest, I didn't like it. However, as I was getting hang of it, I felt a joy a little bit.
I recommend that anyone who don’t get the information skill yet should get it as soon as possible. As you know, the information skill is compulsory subject, and I promise that it will be great help whenever you use the computer.

Monday.

Hi.
I thought today`s weather to be very cold but it turn out to be a nice weather, which was nice.
Although in the afternoon the temperature is high it gets cold at the night so I`m being careful not to catch a cold.

Since I only had one class today, I was able to eat lunch at home.
I spoke a lot with my Mom and enjoyed my lunch time.

I love the time spending in my home because it is a place that makes me feel better.
Especially I love my room.
I will not be disturbed by anyone and can enjoy my own time.

Anyway I think I will do my homework now.
I want to finish it in a day.

Costco

I went to costco yesterday. I bought two boxes of mandarin oranges. I gave one of them to my best friend from Abercrombie. He liked it and that made me happy. I also bought a huge box of oatmeal. I am excited to make good and healthy breakfast with it. Next time I go to costco, I want to get salmon.

Weekend

On Saturday, I went to Aqua park in Shinagawa. It was first time for me to visit this place and there were many kinds of fishes. I really enjoyed seeing dolphin's show. At this Aqua park, they use unique lighting so that visitors can enjoy both dolphins and lighting. If you have a chance to visit here, you need to see this!!!

My mother bought me cute rings for me.

These are same design, but the size are different.

These are my fist rings, so those are very memorial rings for me.

I want to continue to use those until I get engaged ring.

Today was my birthday!

Many friends from my high school and university celebrated my special day with messages, and I realized that I am very blessed with my friends. 

They made me who I am now ! Thank you so much! 

This year, it is my last teenage year. It`s my last year before I become adult! So,  I want to do what I am allowed to do as a teenage girl. 

I am going to make my 19th year a great one!!

Sagamihara Festival

I participated in Sagamihara festival . My piano club held a concert. I played "Fantasy Impromptu." Do you know it? It's very fast tempo and has a difficult rhythm. Although I had practiced very hard, I couldn't play well for getting nervous. I'll also participate in Aoyama festival. I try hard to play well there everyday. If you have time, please come to our concert!

TOEIC.

Tomorrow I will take the TOEIC TEST.
This is my first time to take a public test.
As for this time, I would like to know my English level and find my week points.
I`m a little bit nervous but I will try to concentrate hard and do my best.

Lunch

Today, I made lunch by myself. I made French toast.  Although French toast  is regarded as breakfast, I cooked it at 1:00 P.M.
I chose French toast just because it is easy to make.

This is the Frenh toast I made.



I rarely do cooking, so my French toast may not look well. But the taste was better than I had expected.
Since I live my family, I don't have to make meals everyday. But when I start living alone in the future, cooking is necessary. So I want to improve my cooking skills.

My family

I'll introduce my family to you.

There are three people in my family including me.
I have a mother and a young brother. I don't have a father because my parents got divorced when I was a child. Although there are a few people in my family, I love them so much, so I haven't felt lonely.

My mother is  47-year-old woman. She works every day for us and also does many houseworks at home. Of cource she sometimes gets angry when we don't help her at all. But she is always cheerful and smiles. I have been helped by her kindness a lot of times. Although she has some annoying points, I love and respect for her very much.

My brother is in the first year of high school, and three years old younger than me. His name is Hiroshi. He has done kendo since he was a junior high school student. And he joins in a kendo club now. He likes to take pictures of his school way and send them on LINE group of our family. These pictures make us fun. He is a selfish and kind boy, and I hate and love him.

And also, my grandparents live in the neighborhood. My grandmother makes our dinner and derivers them to our house almost everyday. My mother and I usually get home so late, so we thank to her very much. My grand parents like to walk. They walk so ling distance together with smile. I hope that they are health and on good terms each other for a long time.

20-year-old boy had lived with windup toys which look like his parents. By making them come back as robots, he tried to make up for his loneliness.

a boy became a mermaid and disappeared into the sea with a mermaid girl

Although the boy got along with the mermaid, no one except him could see her.

mermaid...something that we don't have now but hope to have in the future
people...desire, prejudice, common sense, public opinion, something that we think it is natural that we know or have

something we take for granted is not always a right answer

It was a nice Friday !

          After finishing 5th period on Friday, I always went to Ebisu and work part time job. However, today's plan was changed. I didn't have to go to Ebisu because there was no reservation. I was so happy:) I decided to play darts with my friend. As I mentioned in earlier blog, I sometimes play darts. Today, I went to where I had never been to. All of my friends are good at playing darts. We played darts until 8 o'clock.
          After that, we had dinner. We ate gyoza. I ordered gyoza set with tontoro, rice and soup. Gyoza was more delicious than I had expected. I want to go there again. What did you do today? And, what did you eat for dinner? 

Karaoke

Good evening. 

What is your way to be relieved by stress? My way is karaoke. When I have a lot of stress, I always go to karaoke box to sing many songs. Singing songs makes me enjoyable and relieved. Today, I am going to karaoke box alone.

It`s finally Friday!

Fall is one of my best seasons I like.
It`s neither too hot nor too cold.
Especially in this kind of season, I love walking around the streets near Aogaku.

Whenever I have time I walk around Omotesando with my friend to find nice shops and cafes.
I really like the atmosphere and the quietness of Omotesando.

I think Aogaku is located in a beautiful place.
While I`m a student of this school, I want to be familiar to Omotesando.

Disney Sea

This weekend I went to Disney Sea with my best friends!
It was my second time to go to Disney Sea so I was excited. We went there with our high school uniforms and did the same hair style too.

It was very crowded so we could only ride on the roller coaster a little. However, we enjoyed by taking many photos and doing the chit chat.

 I enjoyed a lot and made many good memories, so I would like to go there again some day. 

Train accident

My train is being delay now because of accident. The train I use is famous by the large number of accidents. Last week, two accidents happened in a day! I wish the number will decrease:(

Wrong CD

I went to Book Off to look for CDs on Wednesday. I found good CD there and I bought it. I was happy because it was cheap. I got home and I inserted the CD in my laptop to import the songs. Then, I found something strange. The album should have 15 songs but iTunes showed only 13. I thought my laptop wasn’t working correctly at first, but after I got the CD from laptop, I noticed that the CD was not same as the package. I bought the album called “Still I rise” but it had “Greatest hits” in it. I was surprised as I’d never experienced such a thing.

Yesterday, I went to the shop with the receipt and the CD and I got my money back.

photographic ID card

Last week, one of my friends came back to Japan from America, finishing 1-year-study-program. So some gathered and hold a welcome back party for him. He told us that in America, students were told to smile when they took a picture of student ID card, and he could only give a smile wryly.

 

It was surprising a bit for we Japanese were usually without a smile in a photographic ID card. Though, I thought that it would be better for Japanese to have a smile, because expressionless face didn't seem to be charming but looked strict. I wondered this custom was a traditional rule in Japan.

kichijoji

Yesterday, I went to kichijoji with my friend.

It has been two months since we met, so I was looking forward to seeing her.

We went to an Italian restaurant offering as much as one can eat for a standard charge. The standard charge is 1650 yen, and in addition, there was no time limit. So it was a very nice restaurant.

After the dinner, we went to the Inokashira park. The park at night was very romantic! So we play the game which we counted the number of couples. There were countless couples, so we gave up. I want to visit there again at day time.

I often drink this milk coffee because I like milk coffee very much!

It contains lots of Culcium so it is good for health.

Why I always choose this milk coffee is because the package looks cute.

Practicing everyday

Aoyama festival will start from october 30th.
Our band club will give a perform all three days.

Our club members practice each part for the Aoyama festival.

I will play guitar, piano and drums this time.
It is very hard for me to prepare for Aoyama festival just after finishing Sagamihara festival, but I enjoy playing them.

Our club members always practice at the studio near Shibuya station.
We practice at the studio for 5 or 6 hours everyday.

I will try my best for the Aoyama festival.

Irony: Stanley tries to please the girl who he likes by turning the dead owl into a living clockwork toy, but when she looks at it, she screams in terror, runs across the field and disappears in the forest.

Symbol: clockwork=his life (something that keeps him from his dream & desire), the girl=dream & desire, the forest=freedom & future, his house=loneliness, the owl=trigger, the field=a path that leads to his dream & freedom

Climax: He finally went outside, buried the 2 springs in the field near his house, left where he lived, and went into the forest in search for the girl. 

Theme: Do not spend time alone and don't pretend everything is fine. Everyone has the right to pursue dreams, so discard your clockwork life and pursue your dreams.

7 more days to Aoyama Festival

Are you excited Aoyama Festival? As I  told you, I belong to the AFEC(executive committee). Recently we are preparing for it everyday. It is a little bit hard but great experience for me. I hope it works well! The picture is when we visited Kamakura during the summer.

Climax: The boy ran to see the mermaid in his house, but it wasn't there anymore. All he saw was a  tiny fish.
Irony: The boy thought that the fish would never become the mermaid again, but it actually did.
Symbol: Mermaid. I think it is a symbol of a dream.
Theme: Don't let anyone else control you.

Conflict: Stanly is a boy who doesn’t go out from his house. He deals with death by repairing with his ability of mechanism. He, however, come to notice that repairing shouldn’t be done.

 

Climax: Although he had been living with mechanical father and mother because he was shat-in, a girl changed his mind. Finally, he decided to go out from his house.

 

Symbols: Screws indicate the real loneliness of Stanley

 

Irony: Stanley thinks he can make dead creatures alive and those he fixed make him fees happy, but actually, those he repaired make him alone.

 

Theme: Nobody can control life and death. People have to face to the death and they  

             can spend a real bound life.

I had a mont blanc last Sunday. I bought it at mitsukoshi. It was little expensive. The mont blanc had a unique looking and it was about 10 centimeters tall. It tasted very good. I would like to share the picture.

35 million songs billboard

Yesterday I went to the Spain-zaka for listening to the “35 million songs billboard” by Google Play Music. There were so many jacks on the board and you could listen to various kind of music. Of course you didn’t know which jack was for which artist, it was really exciting. I found the songs of Tailor Swift, MAROON5, MAGIC!, Gesu no kiwami otome, KANA-BOON, and other artists which I didn’t know the name. Relatively the number of Western songs was more than Japanese songs. I had fun and was surprised at such an original idea. This billboard sets till Oct. 24. You can enjoy listening at 12:00 to 21:00.

Main Characters: Stanley Pickle and a mysterious girl

Symbol: Emotion. Stanley’s father and mother are revived by him. They make smiles to him, though, they have no emotion; it is just a motion by screw.

Conflict: Stanley vs himself. He greatly hesitates to go outside and meet the mysterious girl.

Climax: When Stanley decides to go out from his house. He has lived for 20 years and it is the first time for him to step the earth. It is a big change.

Irony: While Stanley makes his mind to live in the reality, he misses everything. He buried his parents, and a mysterious girl who he really wanted to be close to, runs away from him and maybe never comes back.

Theme: The real world. In this story, Stanley uses various tools to revive or remake everything, even his parents and a dead bird. Those are designed to move in the way which he likes; of course they have no emotion. He has lived in his own world. Everyday he does only what he wants to do and his parents do the routine work to make his life comfortable. However, he gets bored such a life. Although there are a lot of troublesome events which sometimes we cannot handle, living in the real world is more interesting.

Memorial Suica

In this weekend, I finally got memorial Suica which celebrates Tokyo station was born 100 years ago.
I ordered this about six months ago, it was long journey to reach me!!
I love the design of Tokyo station because the architecture is very beautiful, and I can feel history whenever I see Tokyo station. So I fell in love with this memorial Suica when I saw this in the Internet. 
I am looking forward to using it!!

Setting: Quiet place near by the forest in some European country.

Conflict: The 20 year-old boy, the main character of this story, was unsatisfied with himself and situation around him. While he can control everything around him in a clockwork, even their parents, he was bored with static, unchanging and boring life. That is the conflict of this story.

Symbol: I think clockwork is the symbol of control. It means non-freedom and bordoms.

Irony: He had believd the girl he got crushed on would be glad and smile by reviving the bird she loved. Against his expectation, she felt so bad looking the bird becming just clockwork thing and ran disappearing into the deep inside of the forest. Then, he felt isolated.

Climax: Same as above.

Theme: Even though you have any magical power, you cannot control pure feeling. That is the theme of this story.

Week after Sunday, I will go to Tokyo Disney sea with my friend however.........I've never been there in my life, for the past 20 years!!

It will be the first time of Disney Sea for me.

I'm so exciting now imagining how fun it will be.

Compared with TDL, which is more fun?

Irony: Stanley wants to make the girl happy but it failes

Climax: When Stanley buries his parents and leaves home

Theme: Nothing lasts forever and we should accept it
　　　　　If you spoil your child too much, it prevents him/her from being independent

Climax: He decided not to tend robots, and he left his house.

Symbol: The door of the house represents a wall between society and individual.

Irony: She ran away to see the robot although he created it to be please her.

Theme: Human progress by communicating with other people, so it is important to do that.

Conflict: Stanley vs himself

Climax: Stanley accepted his real life as he buried his parents and went to out of the world he made.

Symbol: The screw represents desire. He tried to make the world he wanted to live in by using the screw.

Irony: He fixed and remade a dead bird for a girl but she didn't be glad.

Theme: Don't be afraid of the reality. Go positively to the world you don't know.

Climax:  His parents were dead and he made graves for them.
Irony: Stanley brought the dead bird back to life to make the girl happy, but it only frightened her instead.

Theme: Love can never be exchanged by anything.

He fixed the bird in order to surprise the girl but things didn`t turn out as he wished.  Although both of his parents were not alive, he fixed them to move like a clockwork toy.

Symbol
 Screw shows control. He can control anything whether it is a human or an animal.

Irony
He buried his parents and decided to change his life.

Theme
Although We cannot control our world as we want to, don`t be afraid of doing something new and  jumping to a new world.

Conflict: Stanley V.S. Stanley (himself)

Climax: When Stanley brought the bird to the lady

Symbol: The awkward moves of the characters means it is living in a way where it only does the same thing every day.
The smooth moves of the characters means it is living freely.

Irony: Stanley wanted to surprise the lady and get her attention, but it rather scared her away

Theme: Take a step to know the outside world. Even if you fail, take another step to overcome.

Coffee Meeting

Today was Coffee Meeting at Aoyamagakuin.

We played games with the exchange students, ate snakes, and drank coffee. It was fun! Before I attend, I imagined to have a conversation in English, thinking, people sitting in a office chair around the big oval shape table. I didn't know how serious could the meeting would be. Actually, it was talking in Japanese with the exchange students comfortably in just same old seats.

In my group, there was a Chinese girl and a Japanese boy who was brought up in America. They both were very good at Japanese. The Chinese girl sometime used English when she didn't know how to say it in Japanese. I thought that was cool. She could speak in three different languages. I hope I could speak in three different language smoothly in the future. That would be awesome!

By the way, we had Krispy Kream Doughnuts at the end of the game. It was better then the winner's prize. Umaibo was given to the winning team.

Conflict: Stanley vs himself, and Stanley vs nature.

Climax: His heart was broken because she was afraid of a new robot bird which he made for her. Then he made up his mind to bury his parents, finally he took a big step to outside of the house.

Symbol: Winding screw is symbol of ordinary repeated life. When he stop rotating every winding screw, his new life started.

Irony: The parent were already dead, and he made his parents move mechanically.

Theme: Love have a great power to change everything. 

Movies!

Do you like watching movies?
This month I have two movies that I`m interested in.

The first one is the movie called "My Intern".
I believe many people know this movie.
Anne Hathaway is the main character who is one of my favorite actresses.

The second one is the movie called "Father and Daughter".
Amanda Seyfried and Russell Crowe are playing together in this movie.
I became a big fan of their acting when I saw their movie of Les Miserable. 

These days I don`t have enough time to go to the theater but I hope I can see them soon!

ice cream increased !

 Last week, I ate ice cream at school. The track and field club at aogaku won a marathon race so aogaku  increased the icecream volume to celebrate them. I ate the Royal milk tea taste. It was bigger than I thought. It was not such a hot day but eating it in a warm room was so good!

My best friend

Today, I'll introduce my best friend.
We were the same class when we were junior high school students. We've been best friends since then all the time! My surname is Murata, and her surname is Taira, so we're called "Murataira." Although we went to different high schools, we made a role to meet at least one time per a month. She join a track&field club at her university, so she is very hard. I'm sad not to meet her frequency. But if we cannot meet frequency, we'll be best friends forever!

Versus Zombie

Three of my friends and I participated in "Zombie Dash" held in Inage yesterday.
Running was hard for us because we don`t exercise reguraly.
However we enjoyed it very much!!!
We took a lot of photos with people wearing costumes, for example, Sailor moon, Super mario and so on.
I want to take part in events like this again:)

Hair Coloring

I changed my hair color last week :)
I went to a hair salon which one of my friends recommended to me!
I was happy because some of you said to me "It`s nice!"
I like this color very much.
