Mermaid

 Setting:
 After W.W.2 in Japan
around the sea

Conflict:
a boy versus society and government

Climax:
a boy became a mermaid and disappeared into the sea with a mermaid girl

Irony:
Although the boy got along with the mermaid, no one except him could see her.

Symbol:
the see...freedom, future, hope
mermaid...something that we don't have now but hope to have in the future
people...desire, prejudice, common sense, public opinion, something that we think it is natural that we know or have

Theme:
something we take for granted is not always a right answer
