Mermaid

The main characters in the story are a boy who likes fantasies and a mermaid,which is actually a fish. The story takes place in a country where imaginations are thought to be a sin. One day a boy was sitting by the sea and saves a fish stranding on the beach. The fish transforms in to a beautiful mermaid by his own imagination and falls in love with her. However, imagination is not allowed in the country, so he gets arrested and gets punished by the adults. During the climax of this film, he eventually gets out of prison and wins back his ability to imagine. At the end, he is able to go back into the ocean with the mermaid and everyone is surprised because his imagination turned out to be true. I think the theme of this film is to tell us not to give up on what you believe in even though everyone else disagrees with you.
