There were 2 octopuses(a boy? and a girl? in a relationship) and a cook in this film. The film seems to take place at some Greekish place...
The cook buys the girl octopus and takes it to somewhere but the boy octopus chases them down. At the end, they were able to escape from the cook but moment later, the boy octopus was taken by a seagull.
The girl octopus chases the seagull but I don't think she can get the other octopus back.
