Meiji Shrine.

I`m happy that these days the weather is so good.
Yesterday I went to Meiji shrine with Momoko.
Actually it was our first time to go there so we were very excited.
I enjoyed the beautiful weather, trees and especially the clean air.
Although yesterday was an ordinary day, there were many foreign people, which was surprising.
I consulted an oracle and made a money offering.
On that day, there was a wedding ceremony held. The women wearing the Kimono was beautiful.

After we finished walking around the shrine, we decided to have a late lunch.
First we wanted to eat Okonomiyaki but the place we wanted to eat was closed.
So we went to a another restaurant called "Negishi" which is near our school and ate kalbi which tasted very good.

I had a nice time but my legs hurt because I walked too much.

Theme: We should respect the freedom of imagintion.  No one can take it away.

Volunteer Work

Have you volunteered before?

Last Saturday I volunteered at a place called Zou no Hana Park in Yokohama City. It's right next to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, so you could see it from the park.

At the park, there was this event which children could experience to work, get paid (not real money), and then, get candy from what they earned. It was like a small society in that park. There were many work booth and I volunteered in one of those. The chidren were very energitic and worked with enthusiasm. They were so cute. I actually learned many things from them and it was such a great day.

After volunteering the member of the Non Profit Organization (NPO), the Connection of the Children invited me for a late lunch at their sharehouse which also could be a guesthouse. It was very nice of them. The house was under construction when I visited and there were many things all over the place, but the wall were very nice. Guest from all over the world left messages and pictures on the wall. It was colorful and just looking at them I could hear the laughter.

This was my first time participating in Connection of the Childern. I enjoyed very much with the members, so I would like to do it again. Sadly, there is one next week, but I'm not available, so maybe next week?

We watched the video, "Mermaid", by Tezuka Osamu.

Setting: I think this story is set during the World War 1 and 2, at the early 1900s. There were some government oppressions in many countries at that time. The place is untold, however, the appearance of the house reminds me European country where is near the sea.

Character: A boy and his imaginary mermaid (a fish, in fact).

Conflict: The boy vs adults who are around him (including army and his parents).

Climax: When the boy finally sees his mermaid again.

Symbol: Daydream.

Irony:

1. However the government army tries hard to suppress and brainwash the nations, it cannot. Freedom of thought which includes daydream is not completely controlled. Not only it is intangible and very inner; people never forget the things which are really precious for them.

2. All adults ruin the boy’s future by oppression although he may have unlimited possibility. They forget their childhood memories; how they played a world of fantasy and how it was amusing. The daydream is sort of imagination; and it will help people being considerate of others, enhance understanding, and widen their own world. Though, adult deny the boy and even assume that he must be crazy.

 

Theme:

1. Suppression of freedom of thought and expression.

2. The things which people lose as they have grown up.

Lucky

Last Saturday, I went to Ark Hills Music Week.
I was helping out the event.

Every Saturday, they held "Hills Marche" in the open space.

On my break, I found potato. And it was only 50 yen! I wanted potato to make gratin, so I bought it!
Also, there was big chocolate scone. Usually they don't do that, but the restaurant was selling them in the open space because there was a event.
Luckily, I could buy the last one! I was very happy.

It was a wonderful weekend for me.

They were very free when they were at the ocean. 

Irony: The boy was the only person who could see the mermaid.  No other person could see her.

Theme: People affected by surroundings. If it were ruled to be that, it is worse. It is hard to stuck to our opinion in those world.

The festival in Sagamihara

Last Saturday and Snuday, there was a collage festival in Sagamihara campus.

Our club sold tacos, and we could sell them out. According to our secretary, Tacos sold more than 1,000.

During festival, I could meet many friends and talked. It was a very nice time.

Second grader girls of my group prepared same clothe.

We went for shopping together, and we are very close.

I want to have a lot of memories in this club!

Theme: In this world, it is not allowed to do the imagination that is different from other people. It is important to think in a popular way to have another person accept myself. But it is sad.

Black Beauty

I watched a movie called Black Beauty. I chose a book about it for the book report. I wanted to watch the movie before I read the book.
It was a wonderful movie. Also it was such heartbreaking that I couldn't stop crying. It's about the story of a horse, beautiful black horse. He had been sold for many times and each time he was happy or was very unhappy. I thought it was the right book for the book report and I am looking forward to read the book as well.

Dinner with my family

I went to a Sushi restaurant for dinner with my family on Sunday. The restaurant was a conveyor belt sushi bar. All of my family love sushi so it was great time! It was crowded and we waited more than 30 minutes. And finally we could sit on seats. We ate many kinds of sushi. When we ordered a yellowtail that is called Hamachi in Japanese, the cook put in bonus a cute little one for us like a picture! It was very cute and we became happy.
I felt that spending time with family is good and makes me smile.

Symbols: The sea represents peace and hope.
                The mermaid represents the boy`s freedom of thinking.
               

Theme:  To make an opportunity for us to know and think about the terrible situation that was  
              given to people in those days. Also telling how horrible it is to not to be able to think or
              say out opinion freely. Maybe he wants to say that losing the power of imagination from
              people isn`t  good.


             

Today's dinner

Today, I went to a monjya shop which my friend works with other friends. The shop is famous, and celebrities often go there. She made us monjya and okonomi-yaki. It was very yummy! Finally, the shop serviced for us; it gave us special deserts, and one monjya was for free. We had a very good time, and would like to go there again!

Tokyo international film festival

In today's modern society class, the teacher introduced us the Tokyo international film festival. It is said that this film festival is the biggest one in Japan, and many famous actors and directors will appear on the red carpet in this festival.

This festival will be held from October 22 to October 31, and university student can watch movie at only 500 yen. In this year, the theaters for this festival are mainly in Shinjuku and Roppongi. So it is very convenient for us!

I think this festival is a good opportunity to watch various kinds of movies. I believe movie will make us life benefit. So if you are interested in, you should check it out.

Fireworks

I went to Yoshimi town in Saitama Prefecture on Saturday, where Maya live.
I visited there to see fireworks.
We can see very big ones which cannnot be launched in urban areas.
I was impressed because a surprising marriage propose was took place :-)
We ate a lot, and we were able to have a great time!
However, it was hard for me to go home because it took me about three hours...;-(

About my high school

I'm going to talk about my high school. I graduated from Showa high school, which is located in Akishima city.  The school buildiing was rebuilt last year.

     My high school has no school uniform. Students can wear casual clothing to go school. But some rules are very strict. For example, students are not allowed to dye their hair and to wear necklace or earring. In addition, teachers are very strict with punctuality. If a student is late for school, all teachers gather and ask the student the reason ( I heard this episode from my friend, I have never been late for school. ). All of the students feared to attend the terrible meeting, so we tried to be in time. But I think it is not good way to keep students punctual.

     Moreover, the curriculum was very hard. (Especially, math and English) There were a lot of assignments. I had to study every day. But thanks to these assignments, I make it a rule to study every night now. In 3rd year, the teachter who was in charge of my class forced us to study 10 hours in order to pass entrance exams of universities. It seemed impossible, so I disliked the teachers and the school.

     My high school days were bad rather than good because of these rules and assignments. However, I'm very happy now because I like Aoyama Gakuin Unversity (AGU is my first-choice college).  

 



My part-time job

Today was the first day of my new part-time job.
It is  a coffee shop in Akasaka.
Since it was my first time to do a part-time job, I was very worried. However, when I started the job, it was actually fun! I mostly washed dishes and sometimes I served food to costomers.
I got really tense talking to costomers.
There's so much to learn, but I think it will be a great experience for me to do a part-time job.

Swimming

I love to swim very much.

I usually swim at the swimming club in Aoyama fitness club. 

I like free style the best. 

About twice a week, I swim at the swimming club. 

The practice is always very hard for us, moreover, our instructor train us very strictly. 

However, I can feel relaxed after swimming. 

And more,the meal after exercise is very tasty.

Today I made banana pancake and tea scone with my sister.

I love eating sweet things but usually I don`t cook bymyself

 so I was worried about the taste but it tatsed very good.

My weekend

 Watching films at home is my favourite way to spend a weekend. I hadn’t watched anything recently as I’d got no time, so watching 4 films this weekend made me very happy.

 One of the films I watched is Fruitvale Station. It’s based on a real incident happened in America. This made me think about racial discrimination and the gun culture in the US. It is not a happy story but worth watching.

 Another film I watched is 8mile. It’s a story of Eminem. It was my fourth or fifth time to watch it but every time I watch this, I get excited. It also reminds me of the importance of making an effort to achieve the goal. I realised I should study harder.

Sagamihara Festival

          On October 10, I went to Sagamihara Festival with my friends. Instead of using train, we went there by car. My main purpose of this festival was to see one of my friends playing the drums. However, he sent us only time schedule. He didn't tell us where the live was held. Unfortunately, we ware not able to listen to his music. But luckily, we were able to meet him! He said that he would play the drums again in Aoyama festival. I'm very looking forward to seeing!!!

          In this festival, there were a lot of buses which is held by various circles. They looks so excited. I don't belong to any circle. So, I was very jealous:) To tell the truth, as I had to work part-time job in that afternoon, I did't have a good time very much.... In Aoyama Festival, I hope I'll hava a good time!!

My plans

Last week after school I met my friend at Shibuya.
She is my best friend and we are friends since I came to Tokyo when I was about ten.
We have never been in the same class, but we went to the same ballet studio. We used to meet often, and she visited me when I lived in Germany. Recently we both were busy and couldn't see each other much, so I was so happy to see her. We ate dinner and talked alot. We are plannig to go for a trip in Spring.We haven't decided where to go yet, but maybe Taiwan.
I'm very excited already.
Do you have any recommands for a trip, where it si not that expensive and too far?

My pet

I have a dog and her name is Maron. 
She is Welsh corgi Pembroke and is 13 years old; 13 is relatively old as a dog. Though, she is very young in her appearance and mind, too. Since she is really really cute, all my family love her and cherish her. Although she is a dog, she is not good at catching something (ball, frisbee, and fragment of food) and finding something by her sense of smell. I guess she rely on her eyes more than her nose; it is not like a dog.
Her cheerfulness always encourages me:)

About novel prize

Do you know who won the novel prize this year?

One of this year’s novel prize -winner is from Yamanashi prefecture, it is my local!

His name is Satoshi Omura.

He has been studied about microbe to save people who are suffered from tropical disease. He succeeded in inventing a new medicine for tropical disease, and saved a lot of people.

He loves his local, and he built his museum and he discovered a hot spring to heal fatigue for local people. The area where he was born is called Nirasaki city. It takes about 15 minutes to go by train from Ko-fu city. Nirasaki city is very beautiful city, and actually I have lived in Nirasaki city for 2 years. It was so happy life. My neighbor was kind and the water was very cold and delicious. I can understand the reason why he loves his local so much.

I am very proud of him. I am so happy to hear the news about him.

I want him to live longer, and I want that he saves more people who suffer tropical disease.




 

A nice breakfast.

On Saturday morning I went to Ueno with my family.
My mother told us that there is a nice cafe called "Coffee Kayaba" where we can eat delicious breakfast so we decided to go there. I ate ham sandwiches and drank green tea latte.
Both tasted very good.
I liked the atmosphere of the cafe. Although it was not so large, I felt very comfortable and relaxed.
If you have the opportunity to go to Ueno, I really recommend you to go there!

Aburasoba

I had aburasoba with one of the associates after work last night. It was delicious! The associates usually go to eat aburasoba after work because it tastes really good and the restaurant is very close to where we work at. I am already craving for aburasoba!

Raining

Hello.
Now, I`m joining my club`s camp. As I said before, I belong to Aoyama Soaring team.
In order to have a flight, the whether is the most important thing.
when the whether is so clear and really sunny, view from up there is really great. However, when the whether is rainy, it is impossible for us to fly. It is because we need clear view in order to have a safe flight.
Unfortunately, it is raining now. We cannot fly until the whether is clear.
I can't wait for the next camp!

Kiri cream cheese ice

Good evening!

I just ate cream cheese ice made from kiri cream cheese.

Did you know that ice cream?

I wanted to eat it for a long time, so I was really happy when I saw it at the convenience store.

The taste was unfortunately not so good for me.

It was not so sweet, but I didn’t think it was delicious.

However, some people may like it because it was not terrible taste.

This ice cream is worth eating. If you are interesting in it, you should try.

Changing departments

 

To tell you the truth, I belonged to the economic department last year. It was true that I was really interested in English or foreign language when I went to high school, though, I supposed learning economics or law was better for job-hunting. Besides I chose politics and economy as my examination subject then and I liked it. So it was a lot of fun in economic department at first but in the middle of the term I realized that my major should be English after all. I decided to take an exam to transfer. The exam were writing, listening, composition, and an individual interview; both in English and Japanese.

 As I attended the very first class in April, I was nervous and worried about everything. Little by little, I accustomed myself to the system of the class and things like that. Now I am very happy to be able to learn English every day. And sometimes I eat lunch with or go to go hang out with my friends of the department of economics.

 There are a lot of differences between the two. Last year I had not so much assignment ( in my class, at least ).  So lots of homework absolutely surprises me now. As for the lecture, in economic department, most of the classe was taken place in a large-sized room. We did not do group discussions or presentation often; economics is a study that calculation and analyzing data by oneself. 

Both departments are so great and give us good learning environment. I hope my experience this time will be helpful for my future.

Yesterday, My lovely pro-baseball team Hanshin Tigers got the right to take part in climax series, because rival team Hiroshima Carp was lost the game against Chunichi Dragons. I had gaven up watching the games of Tigers in climax stage. Therefore I'm so glad to hear this news!! I'm going to cher Tigers in Jingu studium this weekend.

One problem.

Hi!
Every day I`m enjoying my school life in Aogaku but there is one problem.
When I try to eat lunch at the school cafeteria after second period, there are always too many people and it`s difficult to keep a seat.
Since plenty of students are in Aogaku, I guess there isn`t much place for everybody to have a seat and eat smoothly. Where do you always eat lunch?

Oktapodi

Setting: It's a fine day in Greece

Conflict: Octopuses are trying to escape from the guy. He is trying to get them

Climax: as soos as octopuses finally escaped from the guy, one of them were catched and brought away by a bird. The other octopus is trying to get him back.

Symbol: The catchers of octopuses, track driver and a bird symbolize a hardship. octopuses may possibly stand for human. we people always have to face to many hardship. In addition to the fact, those hardship are very strong and difficult to deal with. Soon after we overcome a hardship, another new one would come and make us feel nerveous.

Irony: Although octpuses thought they were able to escape from the driver, the bird brought one of them away.

Theme: you will face to many difficulties again and again. you, however, mustn't give up overcoming.

A nice job

September 27, I had a chance of the wonderful work. It was the staff of Tokyo Girls Collection. Do you know this event? In this event, there are so many models and they show us new clothes for stylish girls. 

I could see many models and stylish   visitors. Some visitors were like a model. They were shine and there was a great difference between they and I.

So I decided let's polish more myself.

Since that day, I bought new cosmetics clothes and shoes. And I changed the way of make up a little. 

Another thing I have to is to lose my weight...

Last Sunday, I went to my old

school because that day was school festival.

I met many friends, talked with teachers, and took pictures. It was very good time.

Because my school is the consistency school , there are a lot of friends of the close relation.

I love them and the time I spent with them was my treasure.

After school festival, part of us ate dinner at Fridays. In spite of a meal, we laughed all the time.

I want them to be friends forever.

I love dance!

I'm in the cheardance club, Chatters in Aoyama Gakuin. It has 72 members of the students from the first year to the third year. We practice on every Tuesday and every other Thirsday usually. But before the performing, we practice more, like four times a week. The practice is very hard, and sometimes it begin from midnight to morning.
Chatters has a cute costume. I don't know because of it, we are haved image like just gorgeous and cute sometimes. But actually, we're not. We practice  really really hard. If you haven't know it, I want you to come and see the stage performance. 
The next stage is this Sunday, at Sagamihara cumpus!

About me.

I will introduce myself a little.
I live in Matsudo, Chiba. But my birthplace is not there. I am from Tokyo. The moving was in this July.  I've never moved before, and this time was the first time. I felt very fresh, but lonely to live in a brand new house. The distance from the school became farer. But instead, the transportation became more convinient, so the commuting time became shorter. It's so good for me!

Octapodi

Setting   in a small town, in Spring

Charatcter   a male octopus, a female octopus, and a male supplier

Conflict   The battle between octopuses and man. Man tried to sell off a female

octopus, but she was helped by a male octopus. Their fight began in there. The man is in inevitable death to catch octopuses, on the other hand, they became desperate for escaping from the man.

Climax   Eventually, they succeeded in escaping from the man. The man fell into the sea with getting into a car.

Theme   This thema is stubbornness, I think. Usually, when compared with octopuses and human, human is stronger than octopuses. But the reason octopuses won is just "stubbornness".

Symbol   The symbol is water. A female octopus was caught in water tank, the road they escaped was the place flowing water, and the man dropped in sea. Always there was water within their striking distance.

Irony   The octopuses seemed to completely succeed in escaping a man. But the last, a male octopus is caught by a bird. Their carelessness caused tragedy again. Nobody would expect this incident.

My high school days

My home town is Yamagata. Until I moved to Tokyo, I lived in a village. It took me 2 hours to go to my high school from my house. I had been to school by car and train for three years.

Firstly, let me introduce the history of my high school. My high school is Yamagata-nishi high school which is a girls’ high school. All students are girls. It has about 120 years of history. Among students, her grandmother and mother also graduated my high school. When it comes to school uniform, a sailor blouse and a skirt are adapted. As my school uniform is so traditional that it has never changed ever before. Some graduate are working on prominent jobs. Yoshimura Mieko, a prefectural governor in Yamagata, is one of them. What is more, Watanabe Eri and Aki Takejo, Japanese actresses, also graduated from my high school.

Secondly, there are many school events. Especially, my school has three big events. First event is chorus contest. It is held in June and the day when the contest is held is the anniversary of the foundation. In this contest, 18 classes compete with each other. The level of singing chorus is very high. Each of classes practice a free song which they decided to sing and a required song. Every class makes beautiful harmony.

Second event is an athletic festival which is held for two days before summer vacation. Each class makes class T-shirts. First-grade students make simple T-shirts. Second-grade students make polo shirts. When we become third-grade students, we are allowed to make a replica of soccer uniform. In case of mine, we made a replica of the uniform of the Argentine national soccer team. In this festival, we can take part in 7 events, which are soccer, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, a tug of war and a relay.

Final event is school festival which is held after summer vacation for three days. First day is eve for the festival and contest which decides who is the most handsome girl. Second day, those who belong to culture club performance. Chorus club sing some songs, Koto club paly some music, theater club perform. Third day is the public performance day. We provide a light diet to ordinary people. Every school event is so interesting that all of my high school students work on every event hard.

In my high school days, I was busy of commuting and studying. But all of my classmates were so kind to me that I enjoyed harsh school life. 

Octapodi

Setting: Sunny day in Santorini, Greece

Character: An orange octopus and a pink octopus and a track driver

Conflict: One day, a pink octopus was taken away from a fish tank by a track driver when the 2 of the octopuses were spending their happy time in the tank. The other orange octopus jumped out of the tank and ran on the floor across the room just in time to get into the track outside before it drove off.

When the orange one reached the driver the other pink one noticed that it came for a rescue.

Both of them tried so hard to fight against and escape from the driver.

Climax: Both of the 2 octopuses were able to escape from the driver and the driver, who was too busy trying to catch the octopuses didn't see the blue sea right in front of him and fell over a precipice with his track into the Mediterranean Sea.

Theme: If you desire something and try really hard to obtain it you obtain it.

If you do something bad, you might feel temporary happiness, but you will be punished in the end.

Symbol: The 2 octopuses are a symbol of friendship. The driver is a symbol of an evil that you must fight against.

Irony: The 2 octopuses have been fighting against and running away from the driver really hard to get their happy lives back and at the moment they thought they were successful, this time, the orange one   was caught by a flying sea gull.

a few days ago

In my childhood, I remember eating lots of pucchin-pudding and loved it so much.



Few days ago, in midnight, I went Seven-eleven because I was thirsty and wanna drink something.


Then, I met this cute coffee...............................but.......unfortunately, it against my expectation, it's worst taste I've ever had.



If you're smart, don't buy it.  

You will be regret.

Tennis match

I had a tennis match on October 4th. It was the team competition against the other Aoyama Gakuin tennis circle. We had a game with the team called ''JUNE''. As a result, we, JOYFUL won the whole game and it was 9-6. Joyful's male team won 8 game sets and joyful's female team won 1 which was my Doubles2. It was a hard and tiring match and it took 3 hours to bring to an end. The next day of the tennis match, I had a muscle ache and I couldn't move my body. Any way, I was really happy that we won the game and we are looking forward to the next game with ''Eleuteria'', which is the strongest team in Aoyama Gakuin's tennis circle team. Dad's birthday

October 5th was my father's birthday. Since my dad is living alone in Saudi Arabia due to his business reasons, we sent a message card and a bag that my dad wanted. We didn't tell him that we were going to send him a birthday present, so I was excited to see how my dad was going to react. Then I got an e-mail saying that he was surprised and happy to have the present. My family were so happy to hear this.
I think my dad is having a hard time living in Saudi Arabia alone, so I thought I should be more kind to him. Thank you for working very hard for family, dad! 

Octapodi

Setting:　The place is at Greece and the season is summer.

 

Character: The male octopus, female octopus and the fishmonger.

 

Conflict: The couple octopuses versus the fishmonger. A fishmonger is trying to sell the female octopus and after all, he is trying to catch both of them.

 

Symbol: I think the symbol is the octopus and symbolizing the weakness. It is telling that the weak can beat the strong.

 

Climax: The climax is when the male octopus ran after the fishmonger to help the female octopus and after all, two of the octopus were able to escape from the fishmonger.

 

Irony: Two octopus were able to escape from the fishmonger and felt happy to be alive but after all, the male octopus will be caught by the bird.

 

Theme: There is two theme. The first theme is that the weak can beat the strong and the second is that not to be careless.

Flatfish

My father’s hobby is fishing and playing golf.

Yesterday, my father caught a flatfish at Shizuoka prefecture.

In fact, he is not good at fishing. Whenever he went to fishing, he caught nothing for a long time.

So I was really surprised when my father caught a flatfish yesterday.

Although it was small, I am very looking forward to eating it in this weekend.
