Binta and the great idea

Setting - a very small village in Senegal, Africa

Conflict - Binta's cousin Soda not being able to go to school even though she wants to just because her father thinks that girls should stay at home and do housework.

Climax - The climax is when Binta's school performs a play that just fits in the same situation as Soda, and she finally tells her father she really wants to go to school which leads her father to change his mind to let her attend school.

Symbol - the bird represents freedom and liberty

Irony - At first, Soda's father had a strong belief that girls should not go to school, but at the end, he ended up changing his mind.

Theme - Everyone has the right to do what they want and no one has the right to suppress his/her idea to someone.
