It's fun and you can include pictures or graphics. Keep it original, helpful, and interesting. Don't forget to spellcheck your work before publishing. Also, when you create your user name, please use your real first name, in Romaji (ex. Ryuki, Mari, Lisa, etc.) so that we know who we are communicating with. Enjoy, and Blog on!

My fear of words

I have a lot of words that I think I know, but have never checked on the dictionary. I mean, who would look up for a word like "apple?"
Well, I sometimes see terrible translations. It  was shocking because it was translated by someone who was suppose to be a professional of literature.

There was a boy who was very good at dreidel and he called his arm "my precious manicured spinning hand." The translation said something like the boy painted his nails. Hmm... This boy was no rock star.
Another example, gingerbread was translated as some sort of loaf of bread with ginger mixed in. I feel sorry for this person because I don't think he experienced Christmas.

I fear, that I also am doing these terrible mistakes, but not knowing it. So my dear friends, if you notice I am wrong, please whisper it to me.
