Stanley Pickle

Sammury
     Stanley Pickle shut himself up at home with mechanical parents that he made. He was satisfied with his life, but a girl who loves nature changed his mind. He realized wonderfulness of nature and living things and left his home.

Setting
     Time: modern times (20c). Place: a rural area in UK.

Conflict
     Stanley vs. himself
   
Climax
     He decided to say goodbye to his fake parents forever.

Symbol
     clockwork parents: the Peter Pan syndrome/robot
     the bird: life
     the woods: nature
     the door: the fear to go outside
Irony
     He frightened the girl although he revived the bird to please her.

Theme
     The importance of facing the reality and moving forward. The value of living things which cannot be replaced by robots. The mortality of everything (includes life and machines)
