Stanley Pickle


Summary
              A boy who lives with his stuffed parents falls in love with a girl who dances with a bird freely outside. When a bird died, he gives it a new life as a doll but she feels scared by it. Then, finally he realize giving a new life to deaths is not good for himself.

Setting
Time: recent (a girl is in skinny pants)
Place: rural area (isolated by the forest)

A boy vs. his belief
Climax
The point that a bird whose life is given by a boy scared a girl and a girl runs away.
Symbol
The cuckoo clock…daily life
The window/door…the boundary between real life and false life

The purple ribbon…the preciousness of life

Irony
He tries to make her happy by making a bird back to life but she is scared by it.
