Stanley Pickle

Summary:
A boy named Stanley live with his parents who are both mechanized. The boy tried to make happy to the girl he had a crush on by making the dead bird into mechanized one. But that scared the girl, and he realized that it isn't the right thing to do to dead animal or person.

Setting:
Time     around 20th century
Place     rural area in the UK

 Conflict:            
Stanley vs himself

 Climax:              
When he showed mechanized bird to the girl and she ran away. He realized it wasn’t the right thing to do.

 Symbol:             
His room- showing that he is adult children (especially his legs are too big than his bed)
Forest- expressing that he wants to be free and wants to be with her
Clockwork- not accepting the real life/ fake

 Irony:
Stanley tried to escape the girl from sorrow by making the bird mechanized but it turned out to scare her. The world that Stanley made was ideal for him, but it was fake.

 Theme:
You should accept person’s (animal) death and move forward.
Something that you think that it is right and do in order to make someone happy might not work all the time.
