Setting: It is set in a rural village in Senegal, Africa. This video seemed to take places many years ago, because I think girls are now allowed to go to school.
Conflict: Soda's father doesn't let her go to school and Binta's father has an idea, but needs to go though the ranks to get his idea heard.
Climax: Binta's father gets permission to adopt a white child and when the students make the Soda's father send her to school by shouting at him.
Symbols: The tubab and the watch - represents a high class society. The boat represents the position or where are we in life and the water is life.
Irony: The students attack Soda's father with words.
The idea was to adopt a white child into the village.
Theme: equality. Everyone has the right to education. If you work together, you can make things happen.
