The main plot is that a promising young man who was just graduated his university decided to travel to Alaska to leave from the material civilization and his parents. Alaska was a symbol of a ideal world for him.On his way to Alaska, He met many people like the hippies, a shady president of a farm company and a lonely old man. At first, he didn't want to get along well with others. But, It changed his sense of values while he had a conversation with them. However, he continued his travel. At last, he arrived Alaska and started his self-sufficient life. It was so hard for him because weather was so cold and it is difficult to hunt animals. In the end, he got to realized again the importance of the bonds of friendship. Though he decided to leave from Alaska, Unexpected tragedy awaited him.
I think this movie has a lot of aspects. For example, travel, love, friendship, tragedy,nature and music. I sympathize well with this young guy in a point of admiration to travel unknown world. This movie will arouse aympathy from you for some reason.
