Binta and the Great Idea

Setting:    At present in Africa

Conflict:  Although Binta's cousin ,Soda, wanted to be educated at school like others, her father never
allowed her to go to school.

Climax:   People in a village got together for Soda to go to school, and their hope reached Soda's
                father.

Symbol:  A Watch made in Switzerland represents status and money, and also represents how the
                time changes.

Irony:       Soda's father, a head of the family who is supposed to know what is really needed, knew
                 nothing and was old-fashioned.

Theme:    Children, regardless of age and sex, have rights to study and do what they want to do.
Also, adults are not always right and sometimes make mistakes in decision-making, and in
some cases, they have to listen to what children think and say.
