Oktapodi

This post is about the movie I watched during class. My first impression was how neat and cool the story was made. It was short but had a very deep content.

There were four questions that needed to be answered.

Q1. Who are the characters?
A1. There was a man in a white tank top with very thick eyebrows which I thought was a fisherman, and there were two octopuses. One was orange and the other was purple.

Q2. How are they related to each other?
A2. The octopuses looked as if they were couples and the man is probably the fisherman.

Q3. What's the problem.
A3. The purple octopus is being delivered by the man and the orange octopus is trying to stop that.

Q4. Where's the setting?
A4. I thought that the place was somewhere in Italy because of the style of the roads and houses. I also thought that it was in the morning because it was very bright outside.

Ending
I think the purple octopus will miss the bird and end up in the sea like the man(fisherman). The orange octopus gets free from the bird but he never sees his girl/boyfriend again.HaHa!

oktapodi

I have never been to Europe either.
I wanna go to Spain since I study Spanish as a second language.

Anyway, i will talk what I thoght about the story.
the setting is small town and it was afternoon
the main characters are orange and pink octopi.
they wanted to date but the problem was that the guy took girl octpus away from her boyfriend.
and he got upset and tried to esape her.
I think the bird would eat both of them in the end.
what a lucky bird!

Oktapodi

I think we're supposed to be writing about the animations we saw, so here it goes...

I thought that Oktapodi was a very cute animation !
i liked how they used the colors:)

The setting was probably somewhere in Greece... i think
I've never been to Greece
... in fact I've never been to Europe before!
i hope i will get to go there someday!

okay back to the topic
the story didn't have any lines and it didn't have a clear ending
I think that after the seagull takes the orange octopus, the pink octopus rescues the orange and then they get back together, but after that i think that some there's some kind of obstacle waiting so they get separated again. I think that they will continue getting back together and separating on and on.

Tsunami

It's a bit late but this post is about Tsunami.
First of all, it struck me in the heart when I finished reading this story. The braveness and his immediate action towards the happening made me very impressed. If I was Ojiisan's place I won't be able to come up with the idea that quickly.
In the story, it said that the Ojiisann's temple is still standing so I hope to visit it someday.

Sorry for being late Mr. Armstrong!!

"Tsunami"

After I read the story, I felt that Hamaguchi Gohei was really courageous. Thanks to his quick action, many people were saved. But I also thought that he should have told people about tsunami in advance. If he had done so, he must have saved his fortune. Anyway I've learned from this booklet that experience is important. So I think it necessary for us to prepare for a flood as well as an earthquake.

Tsunami by Koozumi Yakumo

thinking that this was a true story, it is amazing! i don't think i could save 400 lives. i don't think i can think that fast. i wonder what it felt like when he knew a tsunami was going to come. i wish that there was someone like Hamaguchi when the tsunami hit Miyagi and Fukushima on March 11th. Then there would have been more smiles on peoples faces. it makes you wonder how much a tsunami could effect ones life.

hey everyone!

My name is Rika Shimazu and this is going to be my first post. Though it starts with the letter 'R' I like my name with the 'L' sound better, so just call me Lika :) Almost 6 years is about to pass since I came back from California and I'm totally starting to forget English and now I'm feeling that I need to work reaaaally hard to keep up with you guys. Well anyways, I'm finally getting used to this school and now I'm looking for a part time job and a fun circle (especially a dance circle). Have you guys decided what circle to join? See you in class!!

the article

I read the article today. I thought it was very interesting but little diffult story. I think to cooperate is the best and most important thing for people to do when there is need for help like earthquake. I'm sure everyone was surprised that he was a foreigner.

My reaction to the Tsunami

Ok to start off, I hate reading, and I might get some things wrong. Anyway, Tsunami by Lafcadio Hearn was an interesting short story, because the old man burnt everything he had to save the others. Not many people today have the guts to do such things. People today think only about theirselves, and when a danger comes, they do anything to save theirselves and not the others. Not only that, people today are so stupid and try to take a video of the tsunami. I think many people should read this story and ask to themselves if they can risk everything they have to save the others.
Mitsu Nakata

Am I doing this right?

Hello my name is Mitsunobu Nakata (known as Mitsu) and it is my first time posting something on to this blog. Um... I like a manga called Gintama. There is not really much to say about me, so if there is any question, please do not hesitate and just ask. I want some nicknames, so please give me some nicknames. Nicknames can be anything, anything besides Mitsubishi. I don't like Mitsubishi as a nickname for some reason.
Mitsu Nakata

Where to get English Books?

Hey kmori. Walk over to the Aoyama library. It absolutely 100% has To Kill a Mockingbird in the collection. Also, Yurindo (Queen's Tower in Yokohama) and Kinokunia (all over) have it. Used copies are super-cheap on Amazon. It can be downloaded digitally from Apple iBooks.

Lots of ways to find English books, especially classics.

Tsunami

The article Tsunami was interesting to read even though it was too detailed for me to remember everything. It's great to know that people are kind and friendly even in these tough times of life. Last month we have experienced both an earthquake and tsunami. We are able to see the kind-hearted spirits of complete strangers helping others.

This is a great example of how the Japanese are able to cooperate.

h/w

hey guys, what was our h/w for IE class? i still havent got the chance to read tsunami yet so i will by the end of today and leave a comment. We've gotta start reading the book for our book report and article for our media discussion. Have I missed anything? :S

Tsunami

This story was quite difficult for me to read. I think if I were in his position, I couldn't do anything. He was respectable because he hepled everybody in limited time. I think doing something in such an immediate danger is too difficult. Moreover, I'm so surperised that foreign person wrote about it.

book report

Hello! I guess I'm suppose to talk about my book report so I will talk about it. I decided to do a book report on "To kill a mackingbird". I hope this is how you spell it. I have good memories with this book because I read this when I was in middle school and I think I saw a play of this book too, but I don't remember everything from this book so I will like to read this again and go back to those days. I have been looking for this book around where I live, but I haven't found it and they don't even sell english books. It will be great if you could tell me where they sell english books.

Tsunami

after reading this story, what i thought was that we need someone like Gohei who we can respect. there is no mayer who is as much respected as Gohei is. this story was about tsunami and he knew a little bit about it from his grand father or someone, but there is no telling what will happen and we are not ready for it. we need someone who can quickly tell people what to do, like gohei. well, i hope there wont be any more disaster.

Hello :)

Hi, I'm Anna Wada! I was born in London and now live in Tokyo. I don't really remeber much about living in England because I was only 10 months old when I moved here!! haha But I visit my relatives every summer and I'll be visiting them this summer too :)
See you in Campus! Bye!

Tsunami

I finally read it. What I thought about the article is that Hamaguchi Gohei really did the right thing. Lives are much more valuable than the riches that you have. You can always buy things that you lost, but you can never buy the lives that you lost. Before March 11, 2011, I didn't know that earthquakes would cause such an enormous tidal waves and kill the lives of so many people. I hope it won't occur again. I hate reading, but it was interesting to read this one.

Tsunami

I've read the story. I think that a person who can help others even when he himself is in trouble is really great. I'm not sure if I can burn everything I have, but I want to be a person who can help other people. Anyway, the story was really impressive. I think if people all over the world were like him, the world would be very peaceful.

tsunami

ive read it, but then i forgot to post it, so here i go!!

i thought that the man was stupid because i would never want to burn everything i have, even though it could save so many lives. i wonder, wasn't there another way to help everyone's lives? i mean i didn't want the man to lose everything.

thats all, i didnt really get the rest of it

TSUNAMI

Well, I know that posting in this time will mean that I'm a such a lazy guy, but what the hell!!
I'm gonna post it because I read it! Voila!
(I'm sorry I'm in the so-called "midnight-temper". I'll do the proper thing now!haha )

Okay, first of all it's a common sense that Mr.Armstrong made it a duty for us to read this note now because it is time for the young generation, which is us, to think about this tragedy that happened.
Since I live in a house that is only a mile away from the beach, my family had made a family meeting. Needless to say, this meeting was about what we will do in case the TSUNAMI hits the neraest shore.
We agreed that we will evacuate to the nearest concrete building to our house. And my father said a phrase that I think I won't forget for the rest of my life.
He said "It is important to run for your lifes, but it is also important to sacrifice youself to your loving ones."
I thinked about that phrase by myself for a couple of days.
I think what my father was wanting to say is that, don't make an action that will make you regret , even though you survive.
I thought that this note,TSUNAMI, is the example of best way that people can act in emergency.
Choja made a quick and a wize decision by sacrificing his fortune and saved the members of the village.
I think that Choja, even though he lost his wealth, has recovered from the situation hurry, because he had sacrificed himself to protect the most important thing.
I think that it is time for us to ask our self what we can do when it happens to us and I think it's time for us to think what we want to protect, rather than our lives.

Tsunami

First of all, i read Tsunami and then i asked my parents whether they knew who Koizumi Yakumo was...and as Mr.Armstrong said, it turns out that they knew who he was:p

The story itself was interesting but,to be honest it was kind of difficult to read.
im so bad at reading:( i hope i can skill up

The boom of regardlessly labelling anything as unscrupulous

I would like to make references to people's recent propensity to label as unscrupulous whatever leisure and activity is done during this calamity. I have found myself often facing many comments on the Internet that say that any leisures should be now refrained from. Only if I am restricted to regarding that propensity solely from the ethical point of view do I understand that well enough.

Nevertheless, from the economic point of view, I think that some economic impulses should be encouraged all the more because of this calamity that Japan is facing. Such impulses can be distributed by leisures and many other activities. Currently, Japan's economy is rendered stuck. Such will render the situation worse and worse, and as a result will make recovery from this calamity more difficult to be realised. We should put forward more and more incentives to invest as well.

And in addition, I think that people do not get the correct meaning of 'unscrupulous'.

Tsunami

As I was reading this story, I thought of the need to be able to make quick decisions. Hamaguchi Gohei was a wise man so he realised the situation that the village was in and thought of what he had to do and how he was to do it immediately. I believe that to make instant judgements as he, experience is a major requirement. For with only knowledge, I don't think a normal person can make such a decision that easily.

tsunami

It was hard for me to read since I have not read books witten in English for a while.
I realized thai I have to read books more and more.

Anyway, this story seems to have predicted the earthquake on march 11.
Also it tells us what to do from now on. We have to tell next generations about that day so as to save as many life as possible when the earthquake happen next time.

Hamaguchi Gohei was really smart. We have lots of things to learn from him.

About "Tsunami"

Good morning *
I read "Tsunami " which Mr.Armstrong gave us.
Firstly, I liked it:)
The story connected to what I saw on TV news which was showing ocean going quickly over a town. Many houses in the town were fired. I guess those fire weren't made on purpose like Chojya did, however, the view which i imagined by reading the story corresponded. The writing had many description about how water moved and had details about how people acted and reacted to at each scene.
I cannot feel the same way as people who were attacked, but i could imagine hoe horrible the disaster was. I want to do anything to help people who were attacked..

Thinking about the tsunami

In the old times , people helped others as if it was a very natural thing. The tsunami we had this year was also big and very damaging. We have to do what we can do to help them. We should realize that the disaster is not just the area's problem , but our Japan's problem. If there would be more help , I think Japan would recover very fast!

Tired

There's too many homework!I need more time! I wasn't expecting this because I thought college life would be very fun. Well, even if there's no time I must finish my homework, right?

I'm reading Tsunami right now and I'll write about it on my next post.

Thinking for a while of the earthquake and victims of it

Good morning. I am Naoki Uchiumi. I have been thinking of the victims of the earthquake and the survivors from it. Some of us may strive as hard as we can to convince sufferers of the earthquake that we know how they feel or are trying hard to understand how they feel. I think that unless we directly experienced the natural disaster in reality, we can neither understand how they feel nor try to understand it. We have watched many sad scenes of calamity via TV, but the reality should have been far worse than it is on TV. I think that it can hurt and anger the survivors for us to carelessly tell them that we know how they feel or that we are trying to know how they feel. Indeed, it is beyond my imagination to lose the loved ones in such a natural disaster as what incurred the loss of a great number of people more than a month ago. So, I cannot say such a thing. As I have never been caught in such a grave natural disaster, I cannot understand how it was 'in reality'. I can no longer understand it than I can understand how what I have never experienced in real was. Instead we should sympathise with them by comforting them, telling them ' it must have been so hard. You survived. You did well. You no longer have to do any harder. We are with you.', instead of convincing them of our comprehension of their feelings or our endeavour to comprehend them.

hello:)

hello everyone my name is miyu. i live in tokyo. i've been learning english since i was 8. i didnt like it at first but i do now :D i lived in New Zealand for a year. i had great experiences:) anyway nice to meet you all!

Tsunami by Lafcadio Hearn

The sacrifice Hamaguchi made to save the poor was enormous but on the other hand he saved a whole village. I don't think rich people nowadays can make such sacrifice to save others.
People now have lost the value of living in a community so we don't help each other as much. But after readind this you realize how important a tight nit community can avoid such disaster.
Another valuable point of this text is how knowledgable the elderly are. They may not be able to physically work but their knowledge is a true treasure. I think their knowledge should be passed on to generation and generation. We rely on modern technology too much and we're forgetting old saying from the past. If someone knew what Hamaguchi knew about predicting the tsunami maybe more lives world have been saved on March 11th.

Hello^^

My name is Nana Masuda and I'm 18 years old. I started living alone in Tokyo this month. At first I had trouble doing all the things by myself, but now I'm getting used to it and enjoying it. I love to sleep and since I haven't slept enough this week, I was really sleepy in all my classes that I had. Hopefully, I'll get enough sleep this week and be prepared for next week! By the way, I decided to read the book The Notebook. I really hate reading books... I'm not sure if I'll like it or not, but I'll try reading it. Oh, I better start cooking my dinner now! Bye~☆

FIRST POST

Hello, this is Azusa Ogura. Since this is my first post, I'm a bit nervous because my English is really terrible. lol I lived in Singapore and Hawaii when I was little for a couple of years, and then came back to Japan and went to an International school in Tokyo until grade 4. Now, I've been living in Japan for about 9 years. My dad is British but I don't speak British English. :(
I'm now planning to join to the American football club at AGU as a manager. I know maybe I will have a hard time doing both studying and working as a manager, but I'm really looking forward to do so!
For the book report, I'm planning to read "And then there were none". I do have this book of my own, but have never read it, so what I thought is that it might be a good chance to read this.
If you want to know more about me, please talk to me anytime! I love chatting and I really want to improve my poor English. And I also do love being in IE3 because everbody is so friendly and really good at English. It inspires me a lot.
Well, see you guys on Monday!!

Regret

Hello. I am Naoki Uchiumi. This is the second post of mine. It has recently fluctuated so much, suddenly getting cold after warmth, and vice versa. It seems that I have caught a cold. I have got a terrible sore throat. What a regret! I have two IE3 classes today, but I think that I must be absent from them. I am taking medicine I was given by a doctor. I hope that I will soon recover from the cold.

Hi :)

Hi :)
My name is Mayu Bokumoto and I am currently a freshman at Aoyama Gakuin University. I used to go to Nagoya International School since I was 3, and graduated last June. I love the sport Equestrian; I have two horses of my own, Calypso and Decoration which I've competed with in the All Japan Championships, National Games, Youth Olympics, and many other competitions around Japan. I have a 9 year old brother and a 10 year old sister who both go to Nagoya International School. My parents both run their own company, and I hope to be as successful as them in the future. My dream is to become an olympian and also a successful business woman in the fashion industry, especially in the area of trade with other countries around the world.
Well, I think thats enough about me! :)
See you all tomorrow <3

Mayu

Let me introduce myself

Hello. My name is Yuki Taniguchi. I live with my parents in Chiba. My father is an engineer. My mother is a house wife. I have a younger sister too. She is a junior high school student. And, as you know, I'm a student of Aoyama Gakuin University. My class is F, so if there is anyone whose class is F, please come and speak to me before the Reading 1 class. My hobbies are watching anime and playing video games. After I finish university, I'd like to travel many countries. I also want to use English in my future work. Anyway, I'm happy that I can learn English with you!

Hi!

Hi! My name is Lisa Hasegawa. I don't really have much to say about myself but I guess I should say something. I attended an international school from nursury which was in yokohama called the St. Joseph International School then I went to the British School in Tokyo which is in Shibuya. When I turned 13 I went to a boarding school in England for 5 years until graduation.
I wanted to study forensic science in university but after getting an unconditional offer from the university, I realised that I wasn't quite sure if it was really worth taking that course and getting a degree in the future for me. I wanted to know what I really wanted to do so I took a gap year and I travelled around the world mostly to my friend's place only for a short time. About 2-3weeks at one place. Ignore the bit whether I got any idea of what I want to do in the future in the end lol. And now here I am at AGU.
I spell my name Lisa although on my passport spells Risa. I've been spelling my name like this since nursury so I would be happy if you guys spell mine like that and also call me Lisa instead of Risa! :D
Hi, my name is Yuki Ando. I used to live in England for seven years, from when I was seven up until I was fourteen. I lived in a place called Birmingham which some people might know as a place for football premier league. After that, I lived in Kyoto for a while and then came to Aoyama. I love listening to music, watching movies and Tv series like gossip girl. Music, I like Green Day,p!nk, BEP, MIKA, Avril Lavigne and more and more... so, if anyone is interested in those stuff of have a recommendation, Id love to talk! lol
Anyway, I want to make the class and this blog an opportunity to keep up my English as I am forgetting A LOT... I look forward to talking to lots of people! good night.

Hi

Hi!! My name is Yukina Kimura. I'd like to introduce myself. However, I don't have any story about my background like you guys. I have lived in Tokyo since I was born. I really envy all of you, because I think my English could be much better if I spent my childhood in other countries. I'm so concerned if I can follow this class, but I try to do my best!! Anyway, let' get back to my introduction. I'm 18 years old, and the reason why I'm now in this university is that I like movies, musicals and of cause English. Moreover, I've been a student of Aogaku since I was in the elementary school. I love to go to Tokyo Disney Land and Sea :) Last year, I went to there about twenty times o but I cannot go after the earthquake...

E.T meets blogger

Hello Dr Armstrong and I.E. friends

First, I came to AGU because I wanted to become a Hollywood star like Sonny Chiba. I heard this university is one of the most prestigious universities to nurture students to become Hollywood stars around the world.

However, I came to realize that this university is the place for sedulous students to become President. Everyone around me like T.T, E.T, and M.L.K joins circles/clubs and tries to have full 48 credits. What have I done wrong?

Second, I spent √225 percent of my life in Canada, so I believe I can beat 2 year-old kid whose mother tongue is English on debate in English. When I was there, 3-year old kid told me my English sucks, so I am afraid of speaking English in front of more than 2-year old native Canadian. That experience is all I have acquired while I was studying abroad. Therefore, I will never go to Canada again.

Third, my favorite movie star is Rachel McAdams. One of her well known movies is Sherlock Holmes. I can’t wait to see Holmes 2 though. My room is full of her bogus (hope they are authentic) autographs and posters. When I see her face, I cordially think that “God” does not exist. I must assert this even though other religionists threaten to have me killed. I take protein with a cup of milk as a staple food cuz it just tastes soo good. I really recommend u have it, especially strawberry flavored one.

Everyone in I.E. class looks smart. We all can get double A. We can reach the unreachable! Let’s live long and prosper! (P.S. hey Itsuki, where is your ziko-syokai? I can’t find urs)

Best of luck,

Naoki Y

Hello

My name is Mika Shibuya and I 'm 18 years old. I like playing the violin and belonged to the orchestra club when I was a junior and senior high-school student. So I like classical music very much. I had a homestay with an ordinary family in New Zealand when I was 15 years old. I enjoyed a stimulating time and learned a lot of things from the experience. I will do my best to keep up with this class!

Hii :)

Since this is my first post, I would like to introduce a bit about myself :)
My name is Kaori Oyama, 18years old. I used to live in Beijing,China for 5 years when I was in elementary and middle school due to my dads work and I attended international school there. The times in Beijing was something I could have never experienced if I were in Japan and I really cherish it.
Anway, after I moved back to Tokyo, I got into Aoyama gakuin high school which simply explains the reason why Im here studying in Aoyama gakuin uni now.
I hope Ill get a chance to talk to you all through this blog!

about me

hi everyone, and i finally found out how to post on this blog!! but anyways, my names riko tonooka, and im 18 years old. i used to live in Sidney, OH, it was a pretty small town in America, for 5 years when i was young. and the school i attended in Japan had a class called the international course, and thats where i belonged when i was a high school student. so ive been putting a lot of effort into English for like the past 10 years, and i was so attracted to the american culture and the language and everything, which made me the girl i am today :) i mean America was an amazing country and i definitely wanna go back someday. i love t0 talk and to communicate with people, so i hope ill get a chance to talk with everyone on this blog!! ill stop for now before i start posting a whole bunch of stuff about myself lol, and i gotta do my reports!!

Hello

Hi everyone!! Since this is my first time to post on this blog, I'd like to introduce myself!! My name is Aiko Ito,18 years old. I'm half Australian and half Japanese. I was born in Sydney, lived there for about 5 years and moved to Japan.I can't understand why my parents decided to leave Australia so early!!! I always wonder how better my English would have been if i had lived there just a little longer...(;o;) It's so hard to keep up our English, isn't it?? The reason why I chose Aogaku was because I thought Aogaku was one of the best universities to learn English and it was pretty close from where I live now.Why did you choose Aogaku??
good night...

Aiko

hello!

Hi, I'm Minako Matsuoka and I'm 18 years old.
I used to live in America for 10 month and in France for 3 and half years.
After that, I came back to Japan to go to Japanese junior high school.
Because I'm starting to forget my English, I have some difficulty with my writing,
but I am motivated to learn english in this class.

Hi! : )

Hi!My name is Yuri Watanabe

I came back to Japan when i was in grade six, after living in the states for 6 years and in Canada for a year and a half. So it's been quite a while since i've moved back and i am starting to forget my english... so i think this blog and of course the IE classes itself would be really good for me to keep up my english.

here is a question i want to ask everyone!

What do you do to keep up your english?

Hi

This is Megumi Kinoshita. When I was reading your self-introductions I found that almost all of you have been abroad more than a year. I envy you guys because I have been overseas only about 11 months. I went to New Zealand as an exchange student. New Zealand was good place to live, lots of geens and animals, people are kind and friendly. But I wouldn't go there again even if I can because I want to live in a big city. I was born and raised in a small city in Japan and I have wanted to live in a big city. So I was a bit disappointed when i heard that we have to stay here 1 more year. Anyway next time I go abroad, I might go somewhere big city.

Hello people!!

Hello, my name is Jun Nakagawa and I'm 20 years old.
I was born in Japan then I went to England due to my fathers job until I was 3. Then I entered the British school in Tokyo. After Japanese public junior high school i went to England again. England was alright but I think Japan's better even thought we get earthquakes and problems with the nuclear power plant!
I love playing darts so I work as a bartender at a darts bar in Nippori. If your over 20 come to "Casual bar Aquarium" in Nippori!

First post!

So I can see that everybody is introducing themselves here so I might as well get it over with! My name is Maya Yoshikawa and I was born and raised in America; Boston, Massachusetts to be exact. I attended a school called Andover High School in the town of Andover-- located in the upper NorthEast of Massachusetts. Interesting fact: If you guys know who Jay Leno is he graduated from my school. Theres really nothing else to say about me besides that I'm still new to Japan. I just came to Japan a few months ago and it hasn't been a year yet. Though I've visited Japan many times so I'm alright with trains and cities-- it's just the going to the school on the train in the early morning part that I need to get adjusted to. Also, I am really bad at writing Japanese.

Well

Greetings! and this is my first post for this blog! My name is JunKikuchi, and in case you wanna know me by my out look or my face, I'll describe myself by saying that I have (very) short hair, and some of my friends call me as a “Kyusyu-Danji ”, meaning that I look like a person from the western side of Japan. haha! Actually, like as many other students in IE3, I was born and raised in the states until I was in 4th grade. After that I came to Japan and attended to a elementary school in Fujisawa,Kanagawa prefecture, for 2 years. Then I entered a private junior high school in Zushi, and spent my precious school life for 6years! Actually that school was a boys school, so I think I am a little bit "weird" in many meanings... (Soooo, don't think it too much whenever I get out of control!!) I played ball ever since I was 4years old, and I love playing baseball now too! I 'll talk about this afterwards, since my blog-writing days has just begun now! Well , since the time is the time(2AM in the night!), I think I should go to bed and prepare for another enthusiastic week!! See Ya all in class!! P.S. Never mind my sloppy grammar... I'm such a bad writer...

first post

Hello everyone. Well I was wondering what to write, but I guess everyone is introducing their selves so I will too. My name is Kaito Mori. I came from place called Handa near Nagoya in Aichi prefecture. I did used to live in Jackson, Michigan for 6 six years for elementary school and junior high school. I had wonderful time there and had a great experience. I love to play sports especially soccer. I have been playing since I was 3. So I did join the soccer club here at Aoyama. I also have a question. Where could you buy american news paper? I have been looking for all over the place, but I can't find it.

Self Introduction

Hi everyone and this is my first journal. Since this is the first time it's probably best for me to introduce myself. My name is Kahn Nakazato and I'm 18 years old. I was born in a nice and quiet place called Cambridge which is placed north of London. Many might be wondering why I was born there. Well, the answer is quite simple. My fathers job! But I thank my father for that because I spent a really precious time in Cambridge. Something I could not have experienced in Japan. After living in Cambridge for 12 years I moved to Nagoya and that was also because of my fathers job. And here I am! I still have a lot to tell you guys but I'll save it for next time. By the way, does anyone know about the golden week holidays?

The first posting

Hello. I am Naoki Uchiumi. As this is the first posting of mine, I would like to tell you about myself. I am Naoki Uchiumi, and I come from Fukushima Prefecture. Since I came to this university, I have almost never met anyone in this university without their worrying about me as soon as I tell them that my home town is in Fukushima Prefecture, being told almost the same thing, "Oh, really? Were you OK? Are your family and your house alright?". Before I came here, it had long bothered me that I might have been treated indifferently. Everyone in this university is warm. Thank you so much.
