Logoroma

Many logos appears in the video as  common buildings or common people.  I guess the filmmaker wanted to assert that there are too many logos and it is confusing.

Probably the filmmaker feels apprehensive about commercialism.  The filmmaker represented the earthquake as collaspe of capitalism.

Shopping☆

Today, I went shopping with my mother in shapoo which was renewed in Ichikawa station.
Recently, I was so busy and I could not enjoy my holiday because of ESS activity,
so I was very happy to go there.
In shapoo, there were a lot of clothes and accessories shops for young people.
Many colorful sweater attracted me and I bought some of them.
My mother helped me to choose the cloth because I could not make up my mind .
I spent a good time there, so I want to go shopping soon.

fearful movie

I watched a very fearful movie in English grammar class yesterday.
I forgot the title......
There were a large number of monsters in the movie.
These monsters are roundish, and have many sharp teeth.
They eat the past time.
In the movie, a man was eaten because he and his companipns had done timeslip.

I had wanted to do timeslip, but after watched this movie, I thought don't want to.

Logorama

It was very interesting movie! All characters are made of Logo and they were so funny.

What filmmaker wants to tell is difficult to understand, but I guess importance of order.
When two polices are chasing Donald, they ran over several people. When people are in hurry or panicked, they can't see their surroundings and act egocentrically. I think some people living in big cities are always in hurried or irritated and act selfishly.

In this short movie, there was a big earthquake and all buildings collapsed in no time. Many logo were broken, too. From this description, I think filmmaker wants to tell how fragile various companies are. I think there are no stable companies in the world. If there were some troubles, such as natural disasters and financial panics, all companies would lose stability.

Big Boy and Esso escaped from panicked city. City was all broken, but they survived thanks to nature. This movie tells both benefit and threat of nature. It recalled the big earthquake in 2011. Since we can't fight against nature, there were many sad disasters. Big cities are man made, but nature is natural. I think the greatness of nature is a big message.

ORANGE RANGE

Yesterday, I went to Aoyama campus for ORANGE RANGE live!!!!! My seat was the second floor and near the stage, so I saw them clearly. They sang many songs we know and songs of a new album. Although I didn't know the rhythm and lilycs of new songs, I could get into the rhythm.
I jumped and shake my hands many many many times. I was really exited*\(^o^)/* The concert was so exciting*\(^o^)/*
Moreover I felt one of vocals and I looked at each other at a moment♪

I really enjoyed!!!  I wanna enjoy Aoyama festival*\(^o^)/*

about Crystal

I think she is a brave person because she acted at the sacrifice of herself. If she hadn't act, the new law or the new institution would not have generate. She contributed not only to Thailand but also the whole world. We have to do away with such discriminations against trans-gender person. Especially, i think companies or society should take measures in order not to expand discrimination aggressively. Recently in Japan, people tend to accept such person, so we always need to keep thinking such person for the future.

Logorama

The short film "Logorama" was very funny and amazing for me! There were many logos in the film and I thought they were born in foreign countries, especially in the U.S. because I have never been to foreign countries and didn't know what some of logos mean or represent.

It's very difficult for me to think about what the film maker wants to tell us. I guess there are two messages in the short film. First, now we are surrounded by many logos and without them, we cannot recognize what companies or stores are like. It occasionally happens to me that I've heard the store's name, but I cannot remember what it is like. However, if I see the store's logo, I can remember!

Secondly, the number of McDonald are increasing not only in Japan, but in the world. Wherever you may go, you can see it! However, McDonald's food are sometimes said to be bad for our health. Maybe it is said for not only this hamburger shop, but fast food shop in the world. I guess this is why the film maker described McDonald as a bad person.

How many logos can you find in this short movie?

the Don Quiote:)♪

Today, i went to see the Don Quiote played by the K-ballet company! Classical ballet! Does anyone know Mr. Tetsuya Kumakawa? He is a famous Japanese ballet dancer. His dancing is appreciated in the world. Today's play was very good because he danced very well beyond my imagination. I studied from him how to express characters' feelings. I thought I try working hard to success in stage on December:)

and next week, I will go to see the Nuts Cracker by the Tokyo Ballet. I'm looking forward to going!!

Logorama

This is my third or fourth time watching this movie, but I didn't really get bored because I find something new every time I watch it. I thought that the movie has two vital themes.
One theme is the america-based companies' empire. Nowadays we can see McDonalds or many American fast-food restaurants everywhere in the world, from Tokyo to a hamlet in China. (Like I ate dinner today at Wendy's; look at the previous post!) However, as they're fast and delicious, many great local foods are getting disappeared. The film makers criticize this fact using the character of McDonalds as a mad guy, and Michelin(savior of food) as police officer.
The other theme is the city cleanliness. The big cities, especially Tokyo have millions of advertisements in them. I admit that promoting companies have POWER and it actually is necessary to advertise products, but if we have no rules on beauty of Tokyo (like Kyoto made law about it), the city will be just like the city in Logorama.

Today's Core class

Today's IE Core class was sooooooo interesting!

During 15 minutes break, Dr. Armstrong played a music video of VAMPS. The title was LOVE ADDICT.
I'm very happy that l could have watched HYDE and KAZ with such a big screen.

Dr. Armstrong likes HYDE! It is very nice news for me.
I want to watch VAMPS again.
Maybe I am simple-minded. Ilove Core class!  I was motivated!

Do you have any favorite music videos? Plese tell me recommendation.

See you:)

Crystal

She was born as a boy, however, she changed her gender and lives as a transgender person. I was so surprised that there are a lot of people who wants to transgender. I also think that we shoud solve this ambiguous problem in Japan. Japan has not decide the low about transgender well. Because of this, Japan is not kind for transgender person. So government have to make new low about transgender as soon as possible.

windsurfing race

Last Sunday, I took a part in a windsurfing race in Zushi. I started to practice

windsurfing in May. The race’s name was freshman race 2012, so all the windsurfers

who are beginner joined the race. We did 4 races in one day. I got soooooooooo tired that

I cannot even express, but at the same time, I had soooo much fun:) I will practice more!

Crystal

I was surprised at how brave she is. It is probably so tough to say that she is a transgender. I could easily imagine how happy she was when people around her started to treat her as a girl. In the movie, she was so beautiful. She must have worked so hard to look like a girl. Her action changed the constitution of Thailand. I think that many transgender people were helped by Crystal. I heard that there are so many transgender people in Thailand, so the society is open to them. In Japan, I don’t think there are so many of them but there are some of them. We need to make the society that those people can live easily and happily.

A short trip

On October 20 and 21, I went to Izu with my friends in the same circle. We went there by bus and after arriving there, we did Japanese Nabe party! It was so delicious. After that, we did a test of courage which is Japanese Kimodameshi and had fun. On the next day, we went to the beautiful beach and held the small athletic meeting. These two days I spent with my excellent friends became my unforgettable memory.

crystal

i thought about that video

i think it is very important to think about minorities well.
we sometimes discriminate someone only because he/she is a minority.
this standard must not be a justice and fare.

In order not to do such a thing, we should study and know about many people including majority and minority.

Crystal

Crystal was born as a boy in Thailand, but actually he was a transgender person and changed his sex from male to female. Because of this, she faced with distinction. She was not allowed to enter Novotel Slim Hotel because on her license, it was written that her sex was male. However she thought this was wrong and started to act. She faced to the Novotel hotel and the government and asserted transgender people's right of being treated equally. As a result, the constitution was changed and they got the equal rights.
I think she is really grave and did a great job. In my opinion, all the people should have the equal rights, because all of us are humans. People must have human rights. Still now, transgender people don't have rights that they should have in many countries, but we should pay more attention to this problem and improve this situation.

Crystal

Crystal was born Thailand, and was a man.
But Crystal did transgender and became a woman.
In those day, sex minority was not permitted in Thailand, but finally it was permitted through various people's helps.
I thought sex minority in Asia is tend not to be admitted than Europe such as British, and Japan is not exception.
I supposed it should be freedom and others have no right to say anything about it.
I am not it, but I hope the day comes when sex minority is not despised.

Crystal

I was surprised at the Crystal's story. Her courage changed the constitution of Thailand and encouraged transgendered people. Even in Japan, it is recently when transgendered people like Ai Haruna or Kayo Sato are accepted.
In my opinion, they should have equal rights and people should deal with them flexibly.

Fitness Center

I went to the fitness center yesterday.
It was so crowded than I' ve expected.
First, I ran for 10 minutes and most of our exercises time, we used a balance ball.
Have you ever used a balance ball?
It's so difficult to learn how to  keep a body on it.
I recommend you to use a balance ball when you want to get a core muscle.

Crystal

Crystal encouraged the transgender people all over the world by appearing and stating her thinking on TV. She is so brave because their is no guarantee whether her assertion is reseived or not. At last, thanks to her courage, constitution was amended and transgender people can get the same right as straight. Today, there are many people who don't admit LGBT, but we have to understand them because we are the same human. I thought coup is not good way because it is sometimes violent. If we have thing to complain to government, we have to consult without force.

Crystal’s story

Crystal’s story

Q1. What is her story?

A1. She was born as a boy but she changed her gender and lives her life as a trance-gender person.

Q2.What problem/ discrimination happen to Crystal?

A2. She could not enter the nigh t club, just because she is a “trans-gender.

Q3. Who (the group) helped her?

A3. Bangkok Rainbow Association. It is an association protects regal right of gays or trans-genders.

Q4. What does “coup” mean?

A4. Militarily action against government. They placed in the weak government and controlled the country until the new government stood up.

Q5. What change was made in the Thailand constitution?

Q5. The government gave gay or trans-gender people regal right.

My Opinion

I wander why the government had not given gay or trans-gender people regal right until Crystal rose up. Such people should have right to live their life as others do. And government should support them.

Crystal

Crystal is very brave. She make an opportunity to revise Thai constitution, while she was known to be a transgender. If she didn't appear on TV, she can live as woman.
Transgender and gays are discriminated in many places. In Japan, they are gradually accepted: we often see them on TV shows. However, Japanese constitution is not generous for them. For example, it doesn't permit same-sex marriage. Not only Japan but also other countries should follow Thailand. I hope to become the world generously for many people, even those who have a difficulty.

meteor stream

last Sunday, i went to the nearby park to see meteor stream with my friend. it was awesome sight!! what a beautiful meteor. I saw 4 meteors during 11pm to 1am. and we had a lot of conversation about furture or politics or  anything. I can say that it was seisyunn!! i had a very good time. i will not forget this memory as in my youth.

About Thailand

I just wrote about Crystal few hours ago but I forgot to write about my experience in Thailand. About two years ago, I visited Thailand with my friends. It was really fun and after visiting there, Thailand became one of my favorite countries. I guess most of the people in IE class know this since my presentation in IE2 class was about Thailand.

It was a budget travel since we didn't have that much money but it was fun eating at a street stall, riding a night bus and getting something for a cheap price. We stayed in Bangkok, Phuket and Ko Samui. Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand and the great thing about Bangkok is that traditional culture such as Wat Pho and modern culture such as Siam Paragon are both coexisting together in the city. Phuket and Ko Samui are the resorts in Thailand with beautiful beaches. The time I spent in Phuket was awesome. I think beautiful beach, cheap foods and drinks are only things that we need to enjoy the resort.

Talking about transgender, I saw many of those people in Thailand especially in Phuket and Ko Samui. Some of them were really beautiful.

Well, if you have never been to Thailand, please visit. It is nice country.

Cryatal

I think Crystal is brave and strong. If I were Crystal, I would have just been depressed. But she was different, she faced to the hotel and government, and her effort changed constitution. I think it was great change for Thai, and the world. But I don’t think  coup is a good idea, so we should find another way when tell our thought to the government.

In my opinion, in Japan, less people know and understand about transgender than other countries. Some Japanese people don’t understand the difference between gay/lesbian and transgender. As you know, Gay/lesbian means people who love people of the same sex. On the other hand, transgender means people who feel that they belong to the other sex, and not the sex they were born with. I think it’s important we should understand correctly first.

transgender

Crystal was discriminated, but I think that is a natural action when people encounter like that situation. if it had been the first experience, I would've done the same thing as that hotel's man do. many people see gay or transgendered people as a little strange  because they are minority and not understood. those of us are not used to these occasion, and so do I. I was really surprised that there are transgendered people around us, not as a rare occasion. the constitution for all people that Thai government made was established because the transgender is kind of a culture in Thailand, not only because of Crystal's movement. we don't know anything unless encounter to those minority people. Thai is famous for transgendered people. that is the biggest reason that they could have civil rights. in Japan, more and more transgendered comedians are on TV program. so, maybe soon they will also have civil rights in Japan. i think Crystal was a really lucky person.

studying french

recently i'm trying to study french before going to bed. thats because my ability to understand french is seriously getting worse.

i've learnt french since i was a 1st grader of high school so i'm now studying it in 2nd grader's class. but taking time for studying french is kinda difficult now for me so...

and i have french class on 2nd period of fridays, before IE Core classes. im always kinda confused when the IE class starts because my brain is full of french words or sentences after the french class:p

i'm interested in other languages, like Spanish or Chinese. please teach me how to greet in those languages:)

Crystal

the topic of the short story we watched last time was very important because transgendered people are not enough adopted in society.

i had a friend whose appearance is male but her heart is female in my junior high. she did say that she wanted to call her by nickname that is like girls' one. everyone, both girls and boys were communicating with her naturally and some of the girls are still her best friends so they often hang out together.

i think maybe recently understanding about transgendered people is better than old days. we at least know that there are some people who want to change his/her gender.
but of course it's not enough so we have to take action on the problem.

Thailand's great changing of its constitution by taking coup d'état surprised me but it made the country better still, so i hope many people watch the short movie and think about the problem. i think the great change taken place in Thailand will not be able to occur in Japan because of its stable constitution, so if we want to do something to change people's attitude toward transgendered people we have to find another way to do it.

story of crystal

i knew that thailand is famous for transgender surgery, however, it was very interesting watching the documentary of that. first i saw crystal, it was such a surprise she was actually born as a man cos she has no look of man anywhere on her face and body.
there are many countries where gay or lesbian couples are struggling due to the law forbidding the marriage within the same gender, so an alteration of the law concerning rights of gay or transgendered people in thailand gave a big impact in the world i think.
many people might be still prejudiced against homosexual people or transgendered people, but i hope one day in the near future, they will have total freedom to express their way of being themselves and never being segregated by anyone in any circumstances.

Crystal

In my opinion, it's natural that transgender and gay people have equal rights. Recently on TV, I often saw those who have troublesome related to gender. There is a trend which admit the people in Japan. But be sure that some people think that it is bad to transgender and gay and so on. I think it is difficult to change their minds, but I hope that those who don't deny transgender and gay people increase.

Crystal

I know it has been the most controversial issue on the rights of homosexual people
so long and also it is the one I'm interested in because actually I am in the position
approving and requiring that rights for the equality of love and freedom of individuals'
life decision.

though Crystal is perfectly a woman, I think, having undergone the transsexual surgery
and as her mind, she is not  accepted as a woman officially.
she is now on acting for the rights of equality, beginning from her shocked experience that
she was declined to enter in a night club party only for the reason just "She is a transsexual"!!!
in this case,  here is the matter not in really who she(he) is but in "prejudice".
after that, she suited the Novotel Silom Hotel having promoted the party to show their
mistaken choice to act with their prejudice.
fortunately it was in Thailand! so there were many supports for Crystal.
they helped her to win in the lawsuit and she succeded to prove her reasonable state.

it seemed to be amazing that the only one effort could broaden the small hole linked to gain
the rights for minorities, isn't it??

Crystal

After i watched this short Crysral's story, i considered that it is so bad thing that people who are gays and transponders are not given the same rights as usual people. Then  Bangkok Rainbow and coup helped  to her and to renew the constitution. And  i think that there are many kinds of people in the world, but all people must be given the equal rights.

Crystal.

I think the club's decision of not letting her in was bad move and it was unnecessary. I didn't understand why they did not her let in just because Crystal was (according to her driver's license) "man". She absolutely had the right to enter the club.

But I don't agree with the change in constitution because it has a potential to make the population to decrease and change people's morals.

Crystal

Crystal gave hope to transgender or gay people. Without her work, those people would not have equal rights. She changed the military coup and the constitution.Thailand is the only one that officially gave equal rights. Some transgender people or gay people might move to this country to live comfortably. However, this issue is still discussed over the world. It is not easy thing to do. I hone in the future, other country will change people's thought.

About Crystal

Her story was basically about gaining equal rights for gays and transgender in Thailand. She was born boy but wanted to be a girl since she(he) was a child. Then she became a woman as a transgender. However, she had a problem between Novotel Silom Hotel where Crystal was not allowed to get into the Hotel's night club because she was a transgender. She chose to fight against the hotel and Bangkok Rainbow Association helped her by extending this incident in media. Finally, she earned an apology from the hotel and this incident went through out Thailand. When military coup took place in Thailand, there was a change made in the Thai Constitution which said that gays and transgender have equal rights as other people.

I think her action to fight against the hotel was very brave because since she showed up on media, people all over in Thailand would notice that she is a transgender. I think her action was supported by Thai people because that Thailand is one of the countries that have the largest number of gays and transgender. If it's in conservative country, the result might be different. However, I think the change that was made in the Thai Constitution was meaningful for people who belong to the minorities. I hope that the change made in Thailand will be a good model to the other countries.

About Crystal's story

I surprised at Crystal's story. I thought gay and transgendered are minority, so those people are not protected by laws. Gay and transgendered will be surprised by other people. However, understanding those minority is very important.

I think there are still discrimination and prejudice in Japan, but gradually become generous toward gay and transgendered. Recently, some transgendered entertainers often appears on televisions. I think this is good because transgendered should have equal right. About two years ago, I saw gay couple on my way to home. I was very surprised but didn't feel disgusting.

If there were statutory low protecting gay and transgendered like Thailand, prejudice and discrimination will be eliminated. However, it is hardly to be realized. I wish everyone live happily without discrimination.

Last Weekends

Last weekends, my parents came to Tokyo from Shimane to find my new apartment. However, thare was no good one for me, so we couldn't decide it.

On the saturday night, my parents, my cousins who live in Tokyo and I went to Daikanyama for dinner. One my cousins has a clothing shop and we can eat some meal there. Daikanyama was really really cool and I love the town very much. I want to go there again!

Crystal story

When I watched a movie of Crystal, I felt anger to the Novotell club.
What the club did hated not only Crystal but also other gay and transgender people.
If I had been in their situation, I might have done coup, too.
I thought it had been good action to change the Thailland's constitution.
Gay and transgender people should be given equal right.
I hope discrimination is removed all over the world.

Last Satuday...

Last Saturday, I played badminton at Tsudukihureainooka.
Though I've hardly ever played badminton, I was in a soft tennis club so I can play it well.

Next day, I had  mascular pain because of lack of exercise.

school festival

This weekend, there is the school festival of my old school, called Tokiwa-sai. I'm so excited!!! I wanna see my friends and teachers. There is one double-flowered cherry tree (yaezakura), which we presented to our school when we graduated. I wanna see it. It is so beautiful. I like cherry blossom. Also, I want to see one memorial tree of our friend, which is a flowering dogwood (hanamizuki).

After the week, we have aoyama festival!!!!! My committee will sell takoyaki. 150yen for 5. It's soooooo cheap. Why don't you buy it????

it's very cold these days, isn't it?
autamn has come!

i also cannot help eating in this season so i've slowly put on weight...

Twilight

Today I met Kristen Stuwart at the special event in Shinjyuku because she've been in Japan since two days before to promote her new movie, "Twilight Saga breaking done part 2."

My mother took the tickets for me on the Internet, and she got great seats! So I could see Kristen on the second row from the front !!! She was so beautiful and slender. Kristen prepared presents for us, signed dolls and posters, and 7 lucky people were given them by Kristen directly! But I couldn't be chosen :( I'm so sorry.

I couldn't understand some parts of her interview in English, so I have to study English harder...

Anyway, I had a really good time!

Crystal's Story

The story about Crystal was surprising. I did't know the constitution of Thailand said all people including gay and transgendered people have equal right. I think gay or transgendered people have become much more common than before, so in the country where there are a lot of people like Crystal, it is natural that the coup happens and people ask for rewriting the constitution. In my opinion, the constitution should be flexibly changeable according to the social situation at that time in order to protect people who suffer from discriminations like the case of Crystal.

Today...

Today I  had lunch with my mother in Shinjyuku. The name of restrantis "HARBS" and this rest rant is the famous for gelicious cakes. Today I ate marron cake and it is very delicious, so i was so happy then. i have had lunch in this many times and I recommend this restrant for everyone!!! "HARBS" is also in Shibuya and Hutako-tamagawa. I want to go to this with IE3's members*:).

After we had lunch, we went shopping and I bought some clothes.I love shopping☆

Today is happy holiday for me, but i have many homework now.So I decide to do them from now.

this weekend

I will go to a festival of heavy metal, it is called "Loud Park."
I bought the ticket at a convenience store today.
But it cost 14,500 yen, so I don't have money.
I have to manage to live until on November 10.
When the time will come, I get salary.
It is very hard for me, but the festival worthy of going.
So, I am look forward to it.

I have a...

I have a strong desire rather than a dream.

First, I want to go to Disney Land or Disney Sea to play tag with my friends in junior high school. A time limit is 24 hours. People who are chased can hide in a store and enjoy the attractions.

Second, I want to play soccer as a member of FC Barcelona in the special match called "El Clasico" against Real Madrid because I  love soccer veeeeery much.

Third, I want to go to a  comic cafe and read as many comics as I can without studying English. This is because I like reading comics!

Fourth, , I want to be a NBA basketball player like Kobe Bryant or Alen Iverson because I also love NBA so much! Someday in future, I want to play basketball with Kobe Bryant.

Fifth, I want to fly like a super man or Iron Man because recently I have been tired to go to school bicycle or train. If so, I could go to school without being caught in traffic jams.

Probably you think these my desires are little things or trifling.
Actually, I think so too lol but people cannot live without dreams.
It's very important for us to have big or even small dreams(like me).

Today, I have co class but I went to school because I have to do IT skill check...
Have you done it already? I have just finished Excel soft for beginners.
I cannot use a computer well and I'm not used to it so it's very hard for me.

It's 2 p.m so I'll take a nap....

So busy...

Today, I completed IT skill check. I'm so happy!
From now on, I can concentrate on  homework so I felt relieved.

I have a class of Aoyama Standard today. It's a class of Spanish history, but very difficult for me.
After the class, I have a part time jobs from 4:00. I wonder what time can I get home... if students came late and don't finish their own assignment, I can't go home. I wish students come early and concentrate on studying without chatting.

I have to finish the report of the lecture concert. Dead line is tomorrow, 5 period. Fortunately, I don't have class in  3 and 4 period. I'll do my best!

See you tomorrow:)

Today

Today was rainy day.
It was not so cold in the morning, but became very cold in the afternoon.
I thought it was like winter.
I am anxious about this winter.

There was French class and its test.
I had forgotten about it until today!!!!!!
Fortunatly, I was able to finish it without getting terrible score.
I was very relieved.

cold.

Its getting cold these days. I should set up a heater soon..maybe on this weekend!
Im too lazy to set up now. haha.

gloomy

have had a gloomy feeling these days...
last week, I got an absent for no reason except for that just I don't wanna
go to school and wanna stay at home.
and always have been streesed from a trifle maybe you wouldn't care any little.
gonna hate myself such like that.
perhaps what is supposed to be as the cause is  the seasonal stuff?
following the dropping the air temperature, I feel my mood is going down and
down.

well, in the winter... it's awful! I'll be dying lol?

Breakfast at Tiffany's

I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's.  It was great!  It's very romantic, and sometimes kind of funny.

While I was watching, I thought the cat no name symbolizes ...what? and what is the irony? I feel like practicing literally terms:-))  Anyway, Breakfast at Tiffany's is amazing.  You can not be dead untill you watch it.

old friends

Today, i met friends in high school days. The friends were the member of having a lunch and i got along with them in the second and the third grades. There were four people who had a lunch including myself, but today i met two people. I mean, one of my friends will take an entrance exam on February.
it was fun to talk about remembrance. if we gather next time, i'd like to meet more people in my class.

Crystal and one of my friend...

The story about Crystal's life reminded me of one of my friends in junior high school.
His name is T and he was thought to be born as female, but was born as male. His/Her mind was female, but appearance was male. Sometimes he/she acted in a womanly way and that made us laugh. No one in my junior high school discriminated against him/her and teased him/her. He/She was always smiling and surrounded by many friends...

I think we must not discriminate against transgendered people and gays for any reason. Now in Japan, more and more students killed him/herself because of bullying.  It is highly possible that transgendered people and gays do so. If bullying problems become more serious, we should review the Constitution and the Juvenile Law , I think.

In other countries where transgendered people and gays are discriminated, their coup d'etat against the government can happen someday...

Story of Crystal

I thought it great the change in Thailand an' that it was caused because she was strong.  She was given a bad reception though there was no problem; but she didn't mope.

I can't understand why so many people can't accept sexual minority people like gay and transgender people; I have more than ten cousins on my mother side and one of them is a gay(okama) so I don't think it's strange if one of my friends confesses to me that he/she is a gay.

I want people all over the world to stop discrimination against sexual minority people.

The dictaiton training in IE listening class

we have a dictaion training in listening class yesterday. It was so hared for me. My listening skill is so poor, and what's worse, my typing skill is also poor. I was dissapointed at myself.

Assignments

Recently, I can't sleep enough at home because I have to do a lot of assignments. However if there were no assignments given to me, I would be extremely free and a lazy person, so I feel a bit grateful for them and teachers....

             of having our own thought.

Yesterday

Yesterday, I went to department store after my class.  Because I wanted to buy a new USB memory.  There is a shop that sells it in the department store, I thought.  But when I went to the shop, it was  closed down.  I think it was closed down during I went former time and this time.  I was disappointed and bought nothing and went home.

Unfortunately, Japan lost the game to Brazil by a score of 0 to 4 but, I think there was no difference in ability.

Mermaid

Yes, and yes, this really is a great film.
I think Tezuka made Mermaid as a great warning for the world of media and thoughts censorship.
At his time, 1950-60s, the Soviet had several problems with the U.S., and numerous western countries censored communism.

Mystic River

Yesterday, I watched a movie"Mystic River". It is the third time to watch this movie, but this time  I could understand why this movie is highly evaluated. This is not a funny or heart warming movie. It's about crime and mind of darkness. Through this story, everything is a little dark, atmosphere is also weird.  Maybe you can't understand the interest of this movie for the firs time though, you can be surprised by the good actors. I recomend this movie to you. I don't wanna write specific things about movie, so if you are interested in this movie or such movies, please watch it.

Mermaid

the six literary terms of the movie "Mermaid".

Setting: sometime in a distant country

Conflict: a boy who is daydreaming vs. society

Climax: the boy saw the mermaid in the sea and he also turned into a mermaid.

Symbol: the sea (water) symbolises the boundary between the boy's dream and general thought of society
and the mermaid is a symbol of the boy's dream

Irony: the society tried to change the boy's thought but even at the end he was still seeing the mermaid so they couldn't change his mind. And they even strengthened his emotion to the mermaid. I think so because the boy turned into a mermaid in the last scene.

Theme: Having his own thought is important even if it's against the one of other people.

It's rainy

It's always rainy when I go to Machida with friends.

I went to sweets paradise! I ate a lot of cakes, fruits and spaghetti.  These were very nice!

After that I felt bad because I ate too much and it was cold.

I hope rain stops tomorrow.

mermaid

setting: maybe in a wartime

conflict: a boy vs the society, sometimes the boy vs himself

climax: he escape to his imaginary world because he become a mermaid, but other people cannot see him as mermaid

symbol: mermaid means imaginary world, and the sea signifies anti-society

irony: he tried to remember mermaid, but as the result of the power of the state he forgot her

theme: for the state it is dangerous ideas to think freely, imagine and dream. However, even if the government try to ban imagination, it cannot make people stop

We ate of course beef, salad, seafood, and then cakes. It was the first time to meet my mother's friends, but I talked comfortably with them. We had a lot of fun.

The 6 literary terms of “mermaid”

The 6 literary terms of “mermaid”

Point of view

      Third person

Conflict

He conflicted with the community in which he belonged to. That society did not allow him to daydream and tortured him. Though he went through terrible tortures, he would not admit that what he had seen was just a fish. He also conflicted with himself. At first, he could not forget about the mermaid, but after his forgetting it, he struggled to recall it again.

Climax

The climax of this story was when the boy walked into the sea with his mermaid. It was just a suicide for others but it made him free from restrain. His body died but his mind rose.

Symbol

The mermaid symbolized daydreaming. Fantasy could not exist in real world just like the mermaid could not live in the town. The scene in which the boy swam after the mermaid also symbolize that it is not easy to catch fantastic things.

Irony

It was ironic that a meeting with the mermaid made him uneasy. At first, it amused him, but for that event, he went through terrible tortures.

Theme

The theme of this story was that thought control can kill one’s spirit.

My impression
It reminded me my experience of my childhood. I use to daydream like that boy. I lost imagination through getting “education” too, so I know how he felt.

today

today was kinda busy day cos i had lots of things to do for my classes.
i woke up late, ate breakfast, cleaned my room... and after i finished those routine i read the book "Pride and Prejudice" for my book report. i love the author's way of putting words together. i'd been wanted to read the novel so its a pleasure reading it, but its length and difficult British words bother me.
after reading it i did my French hw and a report for IE Listening class.

now working on summarising an article for the next media discussion.
anyway i have to live with only 523yen till this weekend. how can i do that? think i'd been too lazy in the summer holidays:P

see u then

sleep...

I am very sleepy now.But i don't know the reason.
Last day i stayed my friend's house in Fuchinobe and i returned to my home today afternoon.
I decided to  study assignment, but i couldn't do that. I have been slept from three to eight.
I want to  holiday that  i sleep all day!

Samba!!!

I used to be dancing everyday as a practice because I love that.
I quited it but still now, my dancing soul has been lasted.
every time I'm listening to up-tune music, especially Latin, I become to wanna
dance! even in the train in the morning lol
I feel like if I were a samba dancer so I can't stop my high tension!
wooooooooooh!!!

delicious food

Erika, I went to Aichi prefecture in spring vacation and i ate a lot of delicious food too! I thought Aichi has so much delicious food. I'm envious of such home. Please introduce your hometown if we have a chance!

Talking of delicious food, recently I ate a pumpkin pastry of Jack-o-Lantern which is sold at the Andersen. I bought it at the Isetan department on the B1 floor. There are many kinds of breads and cakes i want there, but most of them are high price. therefore, I'll try to make money  by working at the part-time job in order to buy them...:)!!

tuesday

last night after i got home from school, i decided to clean up my room since i cant stand it when it starts to look messy even a little bit, and once i start cleaning up, i dont stop till its super clean. it took me such a long time cos i hate my hair or dust on the floor even one or two, and did a wiping as well.

Football, One of My Favorite Sports

I just finished watching the football game of Spain vs. France. It was a qualifying match for World Cup 2014. The game was awesome. Spain dominated the 1st half of the game and France dominated the 2nd half . The game was 1-0 (Spain leading) until France scored a goal at the end. I thought watching high level football game is always fun. It was worth watching it.

Early morning on last Saturday, Japan had a friendly match against France. In this friendly match, Japan defeated France by 1-0. I guess this was first time for Japan to defeat France in a regular match. It was very exciting watching it. However, Japan had a friendly match against Brazil last night and got beat by 0-4. Brazil was too strong. In Brazil's national team, there are many players who are playing in top club teams when there are few in Japan's national team. By watching this game, the gap of individuals' ability was obvious. I hope that Japan's national team to improve and makes different result in next Brazil World Cup.

Well, I'm so sleepy. I think I will write the literary terms of Mermaid tomorrow. Good night!

Last Weekend

Last weekend, I returned to my family home in Aichi.
I ate so much delicious food. I was so happy!

I harvested sweet potatoes that we planted in our garden for the first time. They were less and smaller than I had expected, but I’m looking forward to eating them!

I also watched “The Hunger Games” in a movie theater. It was really interesting, but a little scary. The heroine was attractive cause she had very strong will and warm heart.

Next time I return to my hometown may be in winter vacation… :(

Mermaid

Setting: Japan in WWⅡ, when freedom of thinking was suppressed.

Conflict: the boy vs himself     the boy and the government    the boy vs his parents

the fish turned into a mermaid and moreover, the boy turned into a mermaid as well.

Symbol: the sea is the symbol of the boy's freedom

the mermaid is a existence relieveing his mind stress because people in the country were not

               allowed to imagine.

Irony: the government tried him to forget the mermaid by using many physical ways, but he

remember. However, when a psychological way was acted, the image of the mermaid was

           faded.

Theme: even your ideas or thoughts are denied by people around you, you should be strong to your ideas or thoughts

Mermaid

Setting: Far away country, in 1960s, when freedom of speech and thought were forbidden.

Conflict: A boy versus the government.
               A boy versus himself.

Climax: A boy became a mermaid. I think mermaid he met was  his delusion since he was suffering from awful government which suppress freedom of  imagination. He was looking for someone who could help him. He drowned himself and  became mermaid, so he got freedom at last. This thought may be extreme, but I think becoming mermaid means boy's death and he got perfect freedom.

Symbols: Mermaid  is a symbol of imagination. A boy could see mermaid because he had imagination. However, his parents and other adults don't know the joy of daydream, so only boy could see mermaid.

Comment for Kyosuke

Kyosuke! I watched the soccer game, Japan vs France, too! In fact, I didn't think Japan could win the game. I was really surprised. "Samurai Blue", which is the nickname of Japanese soccer team, defeated "Les Blue", the nickname of French soccer team. I think it won't be long before Japan wins the World Cup! Though Kyosuke likes Kagawa the best, I prefer Honda.
I'm looking forward the next game against Brazil tomorrow!

OMG

Oh my god. seven literary terms of Oktapodi that i write was somehow NOT published.....

so I will publish it now.

The seven literary term of Oktapodi

setting: near a beautiful port in Europe, in the future

conflict: Two octopuses against a man, Two octopuses against a seagull

climax: the two octopuses escaped from the man and he crushed into the sea.

symbols: the sea represents freedom

irony: after the two octopuses escaped from the man, one of them got caught by a seagull

theme: you should not be afraid of fighting against an enemy to save what is important for you.

literary terms of mermaid

This story was very sad and attractive for me. Comparing with oktapodi, there are many literary terms in the story.

setting: in the past(between the end of 19th century and present), faraway country,
i think because an electric chair was used for the first time in the U.S. in
             the end of 19th century.
conflict: a boy who is daydreaming vs everything(ex, society) except for a mermaid.
climax: i think the climax of this story is when the boy went into sea with the mermaid
(a fish?), he turned into a mermaid as well as her.
symbol: the sea or water represents life because the boy cannot see the mermaid
              without water.
mermaid is also a symbol of the boy's hope or desire.
probably he wanted some friends to play with.
irony: when the boy went home, he couldn't see the mermaid. it was unexpected.
theme: it's important for us to have a strong will. even if others criticizes your ideas,
stick to your beliefs to the end.

mermaid

setting:  one Europian authoritarian counry in the old days in which freedom of speech is not allowed

conflict: boy vs authoritarian society
the boy can't make the people around him to admit the exsistence of the mermeid

symbol:  mermaid...imagination because all people around the boy never admit mermaid
ocean...freedom because in the ocean, the boy and mermaid can swim together delightfully
                            without obstacle

climax: The boy become merman and live with the mermaid in the ocean. He never come back to the
             human world.

irony:  sometimes the boy cannot see the mermaid after telling the existence of her to the people

theme: "we tend to eliminate the people or thought that have bad influence on us"
The man is dangerous to authoritarian society because if the government allow one's
free insistence, everyone would start asserting their freedome thinking. Government fears that
           citizens don't obey them.

mermaid

setting: far away from our country, in the 1960s

conflict: a boy vs. authoritarian society, censorship, majority of this society

climax: the boy escaped from the prison.

symbol: sea symbolizes life and the starting point to everything
the beginning of this film is a scene of sea, that's also starting points
mermaid symbolizes an imagination, and in this movie, it symbolizes the boy's thought

irony: where did the boy's parents go? were they captured too?

theme: "the dignity of life", and "the thought will not die"
the boy was dead at the last scene, because mermaid was just an imagination, and the people looking at boy seemed rather sad than surprise. he wanna keep his thought(imagination) in his mind even if he died. maintaining his thought was his dignity, so he decided to go back to the sea. he was  really a minority of this society. even his thought was against the censorship.
"the dignity of life" is a Tezuka's unchanging theme through every his works. In the 1960's, there was a rapid economic growth. with that, many things were changed. this movie is about misgivings for the freedom or thought. this movie was probably the warning to the society.

My family came my home!

My parents and sister came my home yesterday!
My grand parents didn't come, but they gave too much food.
I was glad, but I think I may not eat all.

We went shopping near my house.
My mother bought a cake, ice cream and so on for me and my sister because our birthday is October.
I like sweets very much, so I was very happpy.

I thought my family is very warm.
I love my family!!!!!

mermaid >°))))彡

I will analyze the story of "mermaid" by Osamu Tezuka.

Setting
Time:1960's that it's made
Place: imerginary country
Conflict
・the boy vs the government
The country was prohibitted to daydream as they please so its government
tried to make the boy to remove his own memory of the mermaid.
・the boy vs himself
He was in a conflict with just himself gettting to forget the existence
  of the mermaid.
Climax
maybe, the climax would be when the boy could'nt see the mermaid after
the remedy by the goverment because it was the most shocking scene as the
moment he had doubt on himself and the world he has owned ever.
Symbol
・the sea is a symbol of freedom (in the story, 'the freedom of imagination')
・the boy's waving hair is a symbol of the imagination in his heart.
・the background's color of red and yellow is a symbol of crisis.
・the meamaid is a symbol of the beauty and the subject of free imagination
Irony
the irony is that what he could see turned to be unvisible once.
Theme
"respect children's imagination!"
I wonder  Mr.Tezuka wanted to try to suggest us the the way society should be
for children through his story. daydreaming boy and the goverment trying to remedy
him, the relationships of both can be connected with now a recent situation. at the end,
they drove him to die as a result. It is stem from the suppression by them
without a respect for himself, I think. so the message of Mr.Tezuka might be here.

Japan vs France

Hello everyone!!
Did you see the soccer game of Japan vs France in this early morning??
It was an international goodwill match and taken place in Saint-Denis, France.
About eleven years ago, Japan lost the game against France five to zero...
But today, Japan won against France one to zero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shinji Kagawa, who is a member of Manchester United, scored a winning goal!!!!
He is my favorite soccer player, so i was very excited!!!!
I ate a French bread (bought at seven-eleven) because Japan defeated France lol.
I'm looking forward to next soccer game vs Brazil.

3 days ago, i went to Kensuke's house and played soccer game of ps3.
Do you know the soccer match called "El Clasico"(this is spanish)??

Nighthike in Sagamihara festival

Last Saturday and Sunday, I walked between sagamihara campus aoyama campus all the night. The distance was about 42km and it took about 15 hours, even though we can go for an hour by using train.

I walked on a national highway 246, setagaya street and machida street.

At about 6 in the morning, it was a peak of fatigue and sleepiness, so I walked as I sleep. I was really surprised I could do such a thing!!

When I got to sagamihara campus, I felt big big pleasure and I forgot I was tired, so I dashed to my friends and seniors of committee.
Everyone was surprised my toughness.

Actually it is crazy event but I really enjoyed.
Why don't you participate night hike???

My part time job

My part time job is a garbage collector.  I clean a department store after is is closed, and it is done from 8:00 to 0:00, 4 hours.  The main contents of it are collecting garbage and sweep floors in the building..  It is not so hard, but I have the job about twice a weeks so I'm not able to earn money (about 300 dollars in a month).  And in the building, it is said there are ghosts so I work as fearing..  I think I want to change my part time job.  And I 'm researching  another job.
