On Friday, I went to the freshmen welcome party for the orchestra club. At first, I didn't really want to go, but I met other first year violinists, and they were REALLY nice! I had a lot of fun talking with them. I also met a girl who was a fan of the Johnny's group Arashi, and since I like them too, I got really excited. I had NEVER met anyone else who was a fan of them (especially since I've lived overseas for over half of my life...) so I was really happy. Also, club activities are really good because we get to interact with people of different majors. In my case, at least, the students in most of my classes tend to be majoring in English. But in orchestra, I only met one person who was the same major as me. There are also students from the Sagamihara Campus, and if it weren't for club activities, I would've never gotten a chance to talk to them, so I'm really happy that I got to meet them.
