The boy wants to be with the fish which he
imagines as a mermaid.
Conflict
The boy sees the fish as a mermaid but the
country he lives didn’t allow people to imagine things so other people forced
him to see the fish as fish.
Ending
In the end the boy lost his imagination so
he lets go of the fish. In the ocean he sees the fish as a mermaid. There were
two mermaids swimming away.
What is real? What is fantasy?
I think the mermaid the boy saw was not
real. It was just the boy’s imagination. I think the last two mermaids that the
people saw was their imagination.
What will happen next?
I think the people who saw the mermaids
will think about what they saw and admit their imagination.
Theme
I think this story is trying to tell us the
importance of imagination. Imagination is a freedom which everyone have a right
to have.
