Recently I've been addicted to psycho suspense movies. One of my favorites is The Silence of the Lambs starring Jodie Foster and I love her. It won all the categories of Academy Awards.
Clarice, a FBI trainee is sent to Dr.Hannibal Lector who is imprisoned for murder to get information about the serial killer from him. Since he used to be a brilliant psychiatrist, the FBI expected him to tell some clues such as the killer's personality to arrest him. However, he gives her only obscure clues. Moreover, as the story goes on, he begins to analyze her by leading her to talk about her past trauma. He makes her distracted, but finally she succeeds in finding the killer and goes to his house alone.
This movie is well known for Dr.Hannibal Lecter's being cannibal, but what I want everyone to focus on is the relationship between he and Clarice. They gradually get closer by sharing the darkness of their minds. Their relationship is far from pure love, but there is something like that. I think it's so romantic.
After I watched this movie I got interested in criminal psychology, so I want to take a class about it next year!!
