Running pt.?

The past few Running blogs have been blabbing on about long-distance runs. But today, I wanted to write about intervals.

For those of you who's never heard of the term, it's a type of training where you alternate between sprinting and resting. Last week, I tried running 16 km per hour for a minute and walking 6 km per hour for another minute. That went on for about, 20 minutes? I mean... pretty impressive if you ask me.

Intervals are great if you want to change up your routine. If you've been running long distances for a while, and you're either tired of it, or stopped seeing results, incorporating them once in a while can help you both mentally and physically.

Even if you aren't that big of a fan of running long distances, try intervals! It's super fun. You can customize it to your liking, you don't have to spend a lot of time training, and most of all, it's fun to see progress. It doesn't have to be intense, either. Sprinting for 30 seconds and walking for 2 minutes can be just as effective and fun.
