The Mermaid is a short animation including three main characters. The boy, mermaid, and the society. The boy daydreaming by the beach finds a fish beached up on shore and rescues it. The fish transforms itself in to a mermaid, and enjoy playing music with the boy. The boy carrying the mermaid back home and introduces it to her parents. His parents can only see it as a fish and sends the boy to a governmental concentration camp in order to change his mind. The boy was beaten down and finally starts forgetting the mermaid. He escapes and releases the fish into the ocean. The fish turns itself into a mermaid once more but this time the boy went with her.
This animation was about the freedom of one's mind, press regulations.

In the end I believed that the boy Died and his mind went on into the ocean which often represents hope, and freedom.
