Literary Terms of Oktapodi

I just finished my Media Discussion Report for this week. Now, I will talk about the literary terms of Oktapodi, the film that we watched in the class.

Setting: near the port in Europe, in the present age

Conflict: two octopuses vs. a man chasing them

Climax: when the man succeeded to take two octopuses back that were running(swimming) away from him (however, two octopuses were saved by the rope and the man dove into the sea with his truck)

Symbol: two octopuses symbolize the bravery and the spirit to succeed, the sea symbolizes the freedom, the seagull symbolizes the difficulty in life

Irony: two octopuses were able to escape from the man and it seemed to be a happy ending but the seagull came and took the orange octopus away from the pink octopus

Theme: try hard and be cautious all the time because there are so much difficulties in life

I guess I will see you guys tomorrow in the Aoyama campus.
Good night!
